Gavyn Davies is an economist and investor. His career includes working for the UK Government, Chair of the BBC, Chief Economist at Goldman Sachs, venture capital investor and Co-Founder and Chairman of Fulcrum Asset Management. He is also a columnist for the Financial Times. Gavyn shares his memories of the 1970s, a period of high inflation that few modern investors and economists had the experience of working through.
