Description
Welcome to the wild world of the Free Form Rock Podcast, where we embrace every riff, solo, and scandalous hairdo from the glorious era of rock! If you’re a purist, a metal elitist who believes that any sound that isn’t an 8-minute guitar solo is akin to sacrilege, then this is your warning: you might want to turn down the volume and stick to your ‘perfect’ playlist filled with only the heaviest and most obscure bands that your no-caffeine diet can handle.
Here, we celebrate everything from shaking your head to classic rock anthems to moshing like a maniac at a metal concert! We love all the forms of rock—classic, metal, and everything in between. So, if your idea of a good time is debating over which band had the best leather pants, you’re in for quite the ride!
Sit back, relax, and remember: we don’t take ourselves too seriously—because if we did, we’d be stuck in the ‘70s, arguing over whether Led Zeppelin was better than Black Sabbath while wearing questionable platform shoes. Join us as we rock out the way rock was meant to be—loud, unapologetic, and just a little ridiculous! Tune in, turn it up, and let’s jam through the delightful chaos of our favorite tunes together!

🩸 This week on America’s Podcast the Alice Cooper Band is back… or is it? We crack open The Revenge of Alice Cooper to see if this reunion slithers like a black mamba 🐍 or fizzles out like Welcome to My Nightmare 2. We dive into one of the most haunting legacies in music history — The 27 Club. These are the artists we tragically lost at just 27 years old, leaving behind timeless music and art that continue to shape generations.
Marc, Mooger, Jerry, and our family members Tim Wirasnik and Travis Perrotta sit down to remember and celebrate these icons. Along the way, we also touch on a couple of actors who left us too soon. It’s a sad subject, but we choose to honor the treasure trove of creativity they left behind.
🎵 Tracks of the Week
Travis: Ted Nugent – Death by Misadventure
Marc: Lindsey Buckingham – Underground
Mooger: Kitty – Spit XXV
Jerry: Journey – Escape
💡 Until next week: love your family, love your friends, jam some tunes, relax, and remember — we’re all here for a limited time.

🎙️ This week on America’s Podcast, we go way out of bounds with a Nu Metal Album Battle Royale! 🤘🔥 Both contenders dropped in 1999:
⚔️ Static-X – Wisconsin Death Trip vs. Slipknot – Self-Titled.
We’ve got longtime partner-in-chaos Joseph Staub back in the mix, and we’re bringing in new blood 💉 with Mike Fowler to keep things wild. As usual, one cohost is not a Nu Metal fan (🙄 yeah, we all know who), and Jerry straight-up ditched his brother for some “assignment.” Loyalty? Zero. Entertainment? Maximum. 😂
💥 Tracks of the Week:
Marc – Somewhere I Belong (Linkin Park)
Joseph – Cold (Static-X)
Mike – In the Eye of the Storm (Arch Enemy)
Mooger – Watching You (KISS)
By the end, one cohost swears you’ll need an Excedrin—and honestly, he’s probably right. 💊 No spoilers… just crank it up and survive the madness!
👉 Hit play, embrace the chaos, and find out who walks away from this Nu Metal showdown!

🎙️ This week on America’s Podcast, we welcome long-time family member—but first-time Free Form guest—Bill Roseberry! Bill picked the album we’re diving into: Soundgarden – Badmotorfinger.
Does this grunge classic stand the test of time… or should it stay locked up in a Rusty Cage? We shall see. 👀
🔥 Tracks of the Week
Marc – American Horse by The Cult
Mooger – Whiskey, And You by Chris Stapleton
Jerry – Sister by The Nixons
Bill – Hey Maria by 1781

🎙️ This Week on America’s Podcast – The Free Form Rock Podcast! 🌊🎸
This week we’re diving headfirst into infamy with a band that shocked metalheads everywhere: Celtic Frost and their much-maligned glam experiment, Cold Lake. Joining us for this bold review are our rock brothers Eric RMCP Jordonand Travis Perrotta.
Is this album a misunderstood glam-metal gem… or a leather-pants-wearing disaster best left buried in the '80s like its own creator wished? We’ll give you our takes—no spoilers, but let’s just say opinions were not... cold. 😏🔥
🎶 Tracks of the Week:
Marc: “Bathroom Wall” – Faster Pussycat (Because graffiti is poetry)
Mooger: “Tantrum” – Jinjer (Aggression with technical precision!)
Travis: “Ridin’ the Storm Out” (Live) – REO Speedwagon (He’s still storming)
Jerry: “Stone a Pig” – Bongzilla (This one’s best enjoyed at... elevated volume)
Eric: “Where Is the Fire” – Tim Feehan (Spoiler: it’s in his playlist)
So until next week—don’t jump into a Cold Lake, don’t waste time on crap music, and most importantly: be cool with who you are and always... ROCK ON! 🤘

🎙️ This Week on America’s Podcast – The Free Form Rock Podcast! 🇺🇸🎸
We’re crankin’ up the amps and diggin’ deep into the blues as we welcome our good friend Brian Davis from the Damn Good Movie Memories podcast! Not only does Brian know his way around a killer flick, but he’s also a certified blues connoisseur—so we figured, who better to help us review an album by the one and only Lonnie Mack?
⚡ Will this album strike like lightning in a bottle or fizzle out like burnt bacon at a truck stop diner? No spoilers—but let’s just say things get tasty...
🎵 Tracks of the Week:
Jerry: “Thank You” – Led Zeppelin (He’s still trying to get Plant to return his calls)
Mooger: “Pride and Joy” – Stevie Ray Vaughan (He plays this every time he changes a tire)
Marc: “Still Got the Blues” – Gary Moore (Yes, Marc still has them… and a vinyl copy too)
Brian Davis: “Rude Mood” – Stevie Ray Vaughan (Because being polite is overrated)
So grab some whiskey, drop that needle, and kick back with your favorite degenerate music nerds. We’ll see ya next week on the Free Form Rock Podcast—where the music’s loud, the opinions louder, and the bacon always a little overdone. 🥓🎶

We’re cranking it to 11 and heading into the dark with Danzig III: How the Gods Kill—joined by our brother in metal, Travis Perrotta! 🖤
Does this album rip through your soul in the best way possible—or does it just leave you feeling like you wandered into a Dirty Black Summer with nothing but regrets and leather pants? Some say Danzig is a dime-store Elvis. Others say he’s channeling Jim Morrison with a gym membership. We say… NO SPOILERS. You’ll have to listen and decide for yourself.
🎧 Tracks of the Week:
⚡ Travis throws down Grand Funk Railroad – Shinin’ On
🌑 Marc gets moody with The Doors – Wild Child
🔥 Jerry turns up the energy with Scarlet Rebels – Mask
🧨 And Mooger ends the show with AFI – Totalimmortal
So light a candle, turn down the lights, and dive into the darkness with us.
And remember: if the gods kill, they probably had Danzig on repeat.

We hit shuffle on the past and dive into Alan Parsons Project’s Turn of a Friendly Card, joined by our resident prog rock philosopher and family member Joseph Staub!
Is this album a masterpiece of musical storytelling… or just a fancy way to say, “Don’t gamble, kids”? 🎲💸 Is The Gold Bug solid gold—or just a shiny distraction? You'll have to listen to find out.
Then it’s on to our Tracks of the Week:
🎧 Mooger floats into the ether with Pink Floyd – What Do You Want From Me?
🎹 Marc brings the street drama with Billy Joel – Captain Jack
🕶️ Joseph gets intense with David Bowie – Afraid of Americans
🌌 And Jerry finishes us off with the haunting Pink Floyd – Us and Them
So until next time—don’t play the Games People Play.

We welcome back family members Eddy Cannistraci and Travis Perrotta for an episode that was scheduled before the untimely passing of the Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne. Fate had other plans, and 3 weeks later, it’s become a powerful tribute to one of rock’s most iconic figures.
We're diving deep into Blizzard of Ozz — is it one of the greatest debut solo albums of all time, or does it leave you with a “Suicide Solution”? We’ll answer that and so much more as we celebrate the life, legacy, and madness of Ozzy Osbourne. Emotions run high in this one — heartfelt tributes, laughs, and memories from all of us who loved the man and the music.
🎶 Tracks of the Week
Travis: Bombers (Open Bomb Bays) – Bill Ward
Marc: Crack Cocaine – Billy Morrison feat. Ozzy Osbourne & Steve Stevens
Jerry: Mama, I’m Coming Home – Ozzy Osbourne
Eddy: You Can’t Kill Rock ’n’ Roll – Ozzy Osbourne
Mooger: Killer of Giants – Ozzy Osbourne
So until next week—blast some Sabbath, spin some Ozzy, and remember the legends. Let’s throw the biggest rock ’n’ roll wake ever, because Ozzy’s music will live forever. 🖤⚡️

🎙️This week on America’s Podcast... we answer a question literally no one was asking: what happens when the guy from AFI crashes Gwen Stefani’s garage band practice? You get Dreamcar—the most ‘80s band to be born three decadestoo late.
Is it a glorious throwback or a glitter-covered time machine crash? Are they the future of retro or should they have just left that sound buried next to a broken Walkman? No spoilers (as always), but we dive in like it’s 1985 and we’re wearing parachute pants and Aqua Net.
We’re joined by the ever-stylish Favio Vegas and synthwave sensei Travis Perrotta to break it down in neon detail.
🎧 Tracks of the Week:
Marc picks "The Gap" by the Thompson Twins—because someone had to bring the eyeliner.
Favio goes goth with "Peacefield" by Ghost—spooky AND synthy.
Travis keeps it classic with "Come Back" by the J. Geils Band—bless him, he's the rockin’ realist.
And finally, Mooger Fooger grabs his trench coat and shades for "The Chauffeur" by Duran Duran, because someone’s gotta be mysterious in this episode.
So break out the cassette player, mist yourself in Drakkar Noir, and hop in the DeLorean—we're taking you back to the 80s, whether you like it or not.

🎙️ This Week on America’s Podcast! 🎙️
Buckle up, metal maniacs—we're hopping in the time machine straight back to 1986, where the riffs are fierce, the politics are angry, and Dave Mustaine still hasn't smiled once. We’re diving deep into Megadeth’s Peace Sells... but Who’s Buying?
Is this album a thrashterpiece worthy of our hard-earned Reagan-era cash, or does it bomb harder than a VCR instructional video? No spoilers—but trust us, it gets louder than Mustaine’s ego.
Helping us sift through the rubble are special guests Tim Wirasnik and Travis Perrotta, who bring their musical firepower and strong opinions (and maybe a flask of nuclear fallout whiskey).
🔥 Tracks of the Week:
Mooger picks Overkill’s “Hello from the Gutter” — because nothing says love letter like a rat-infested alley 🐀
Jerry gets haunted with Ghost’s “Lachyma” — spooky, dramatic, and perfect for summoning stylish Swedish demons 👻
Tim lays it on the line with Dee Snider’s cover of the Triumph classic — glam meets grit, with extra vocal grit from Uncle Dee 🎤⚡
Travis gets technical with Toxik — because his riffs need a PhD in shred 🤓🎸
And Marc sends us out with The Cure’s “Jumping Someone Else’s Train” — for those who like their eyeliner smudged and their metaphors deep 🚂
⚠️ Until next time—don’t end up on Devil’s Island, and remember to Wake Up the Dead by blasting some righteous metal straight into the afterlife. 🤘

We travel back to 1986 — perms were big, synths were bigger, and Peter Gabriel dropped his iconic album "So."
We brought in guest Travis Perrotta to help us break it down:
Is this album "So-So"… or does it hit like a lyrical Sledgehammer to the soul? You’ll have to listen to find out! (No spoilers — we're classy like that.)
💥 Plus, we’ve got Tracks of the Week hotter than a lava lamp on a shag carpet:
🎩 Marc goes vintage cool with The Doors – “The Soft Parade”
🌸 Travis brings the dream pop feels with Lush – “Sweetness and Light”
🥁 Mooger gets Stingy with it on Sting – “Fragile”
🤘 Jerry… well, he just says "Yo Mama." (Which we decode as Genesis – “Mama”... we think.)
So before the Red Rain falls, be a legend:

🎙️ This Week on The BS! Sessions 🎙️
Episode Title: "The Amalgamut, a Mooger Flyby, and a Whole Lotta Rock!"
This week on America’s favorite barely-controlled audio trainwreck, we dove headfirst into Filter's ‘The Amalgamut’—a criminally underrated album that dares to ask, "What if industrial rock had feelings... and a gym membership?"
Our resident man of mystery, Mooger, was “on assignment” (which we assume means chasing down the last copy of Fear Factory's CD at a truck stop in Bakersfield), but he swung by for a quick “Yo!” before vanishing into the podcasting ether.
Joining the mayhem were two certified BS! troublemakers:
🎸 Jimmy James Schwartz – master of dad jokes and deep cuts
🥁 Travis Perrotta – possibly powered by guitar riffs and espresso
We almost stayed on topic. Almost. There were tangents. There was passion. There was confusion. In short, it was beautiful chaos.
And just when you thought we were done, we hit you with our Tracks of the Week, because opinions are like podcasts—everybody’s got one:
🎶 Jerry – “Brown Eyed Girl” (Everclear version, because why not confuse people?)
🎶 Mooger – “Demanufacture” by Fear Factory (robot mosh-pit certified)
🎶 Jimmy – “Icarus (Born on Wings of Steel)” by Kansas (prog nerds, unite!)
🎶 Travis – “Type” by Living Colour (funk metal perfection)
🎶 Marc – “Anytime” by Cheap Trick (because Cheap Trick is ALWAYS the right answer)
So... where do we go from here? Maybe off a cliff. Maybe to another episode. Maybe to Taco Bell.
Until next week—
🚫 Don’t let your life be an American cliché! 🚫

This Week on America’s Podcast!
We summoned the mathematical wizardry of Ryan T. Russell—armed only with a calculator, a dream, and a list of 50 of our favorite Cheap Trick songs. What did he do? He crunched the numbers, sprinkled some rock 'n' roll sorcery, and conjured up the ultimate Top 25 Cheap Trick songs of all time!
Joining this sonic séance are none other than Ross Warner, author of American Standard: Cheap Trick from the Bars to the Budokan and Beyond, and the one and only Eddy Cannistraci, the man, the myth, the alcohol-powered legend.
By the end of this marathon, we bid a possibly-tearful, definitely-tipsy Auf Wiedersehen to Mooger and Eddy Alcohol Man, but don’t worry—we rally and bring it home with Marc, Ross, and Ryan still standing (barely).
So buckle up, Tricksters—we’re raising hell and counting riffs on this epic episode! Will your favorite make the list? Will someone start singing “Dream Police” off-key? Only one way to find out...
Until next week, say it with us: “Elo Kiddies!” And remember—don’t wake up with a monster.

This Week on America’s Podcast:
We slam you harder than a metal riff with the one and only Metal Mike Tyler! Together, we dive headfirst into Metal Church’s The Dark — is it a thrash classic that’ll make your head bang or a total meltdown waiting to happen? Spoiler: no spoilers here… we like to keep you guessing (and slightly confused).
Tracks of the Week:
Marc rocks out to “Good Day in Hell” by The Eagles — because who doesn’t want a sunny trip to the underworld?
Mooger shreds with “Practice What You Preach” by Testament — sermon style, but with guitars.
Metal Mike brings the doom with “Never Known Peace” by Doomsday — perfect for when your existential crisis hits hard.
And we close out with Jerry jamming “The Nile Song” by Pink Floyd — because nothing says metal like psychedelic chaos.
Tune in, turn it up, and remember: get in the pit and try to love someone! Like, subscribe, share, and shower us with love — because this podcast loves you more than your grandma loves bingo night. 🤘🔥

This Week on America’s Podcast
Strap in, folks—this week we're diving headfirst into a swirling pool of flannel, feelings, and post-grunge gloom as we break down Counting Crows' August and Everything After with guests Travis Perrotta and Andy Rodriguez. Is this album a poetic masterpiece or just the sound of someone staring out a rainy window with a journal and a half-smoked cigarette? We ask the tough questions—like: Is this what happens when you quit heroin but keep the angst? And did Adam Duritz invent sad guy core?
Tensions rise, opinions fly, and someone may or may not throw a metaphorical punch over the use of the accordion. No spoilers—but if you thought grunge was dramatic, wait 'til you hear these takes.
Tracks of the Week (a.k.a. The Mixtape You Didn’t Know You Needed):
Jerry brings the Gin Blossoms and their codependent anthem "Hey Jealousy"—because what says love like passive aggression?
Andy serves up Billy Idol's "Flesh for Fantasy"—because nothing says subtlety like leather pants and pelvic thrusts.
Travis goes full night-creature with Blue Öyster Cult's "I Love the Night"—probably recorded under a full moon while making eye contact with a wolf.
Marc gets soulful with "Living for the City" Slash ft. Tash Neal—because nothing’s more punk than Stevie Wonder and civil rights.
And The Mooger Fooger closes it out with "All the Dead Girls" by Dream Car—because apparently we’re ending on a high note… in the goth sense.
So until next week: stay off smack, hug your weird friends, and never trust a man with dreadlocks and a top hat unless he’s holding an acoustic guitar.
