On this week’s Full Throttle Talk, we’re going full fantasy football… but for Porsches. Half a million bucks to blow on three modern cars (1999+). Who builds the best garage? Spoiler: everyone thinks they win.
The $500K Porsche Draft
Tim swings big with a Mezger RS, a widowmaker GT2, and a cult Cayman R (and immediately declares victory).
Paul goes left field: a 996.2 GT3, a diesel Cayenne turned overlanding apocalypse rig, and a Carrera T that’s basically nerd-spec porn.
Dave grabs a brand-new GT3 RS, a GT4, and a Macan GTS for the “daily driver balance sheet.”
Casey? He’s hunting unicorns: a 997 RS, a Boxster Spyder, and a Transsyberia SUV that’ll eat $20K in repairs before you even park it. He also has a backup plan involving a 3.8-swapped Spyder, because of course he does.
What We Did in Cars
Tim fell head over heels for the Ferrari 296 GTS, dragged his TR2 home, burned hours in a racing sim, announced he’s going back to karting (with Zoe racing too), and has a 550 Spyder project finally inching forward.
Paul partied at Matt Farah’s house, argued with Lieberman, Glucker, and Marco at TLG, then argued with his wife about taking her Volvo on a rally before panic-reserving a base Macan.
Dave got hands-on with Hendrick Porsche’s ex-GM test mule 959, plus geeked out over what Singer does with leather (and whether it’s worth the six-figure markup).
Casey remembered he actually owns a 964, took it to a brewery, and washed cars like a guy working off sins.
Listener Questions
Who really buys Porsches these days?
Are the GT3 RS flash-and-style types Porsche’s target, or is it happening organically?
Are 1990s cars “vintage” now, or is that just Gen Z gaslighting us?
This Week in Auctions
Tim’s watching the Porsche GT market split wide open (limited vs. unlimited). On his radar: a 911 S/T, a 50th Anniversary GT3 RS, and a GT2 RS slugfest.
Paul breaks down Magnus Walker’s 996 “celebrity tax” — same car without his name? You’d pay half.
Dave and Casey pile on about who’s actually paying for that kind of markup.
And Yes, Tariffs
Because nothing gets car people worked up like a 3.6% surcharge on their six-figure toys.
It’s Porsche nerding, Ferrari flirting, auction autopsies, and enough side rants to fill another podcast. If you came here for polite chatter and artisanal coffee talk, you’re in the wrong garage.

This week on Full Throttle Talk, the crew goes off the rails (again) and nothing is safe:
This week in cars: Tim brags about finishing 2nd at Mid-Ohio…on his racing SIM (doesn’t count). Dave is still tinkering with his “Black Betty” science project. Casey drove a Ferrari 550 and flexed about meeting Alwin Springer. Paul? He’s still triggered about fake sports cars with Apple CarPlay.
Automotive insanity: Is Porsche about to unleash 47 new “special editions” just to squeeze the fanboys? GT3 Cabrio, GT2 Touring, 1,000-hp Turbo Hybrid, $8k decals — have they completely lost the plot?
Auction meltdowns: From purple-wheeled GT3RSs selling for $428k to “Emory-wannabe” 356s, we break down what’s hot, what’s cold, and what was flat-out robbery.
This, That, or The Other: You only get ONE car under $250k for the rest of your life. The choices spark a cage match and more than a little trash talk.
Listener Q: 996 vs. C8 Z06 — who wins, who cries, and who gets roasted for their pick.
And somewhere in the chaos, we actually stumble onto a few smart takes about trends, values, and why Porsche might be trying to out-Ferrari Ferrari with its “tailor-made” obsession.
It’s salty, it’s loud, and it’s packed with car nerd nonsense — in other words, a classic Full Throttle Talk episode.

Monterey Car Week isn’t what it used to be—and that’s not a bad thing, depending on who you ask. The genteel, wine-and-cheese concours vibe is giving way to a new era of carbon fiber chaos, lifestyle flexing, and influencer-driven hype. From $1M+ one-off boutique builds (it’s not just Singer anymore—dozens of shops are chasing “ultra-exclusive” status) to sky-high ticket prices and an endless sea of YouTubers, the car world is being redefined in real time.
Tim recaps his Monterey adventures (plus his shocking purchase of a 1954 Triumph TR2—Egad, not a 911… what will Paul say!?). We debate whether Chinese EVs could spell the downfall of Porsche, BMW, and the European car industry as we know it. We also call out the rise of “safe” car journalism and the flood of shallow influencer content drowning the real enthusiasts.
It’s raw, fun, and maybe a little controversial—but that’s exactly how we like it.

Porsche’s aiming to rewrite the Nürburgring record books, auctions are getting ridiculous, and Chevy just walked into the fanciest party of the year with a 1,250HP gatecrasher.
This week on Full Throttle Talk:
Monterey Car Week Mayhem – Tim’s running wide open through auctions, reveals, and private previews. Which cars are all hype, and which ones might actually be steals?
GT2RS Leaks – The hybrid, twin-electric-turbo, 1,000HP beast that’s gunning for AMG One’s Nürburgring crown.
Dream Car Showdown – You get one $250K-ish pick. Three options, one survivor. Prepare to fight for your choice.
Spoilers vs. Wings – Downforce or just down for the ‘Gram?
Auction Heat – A one-of-65 ‘85 911 M491 widebody, a salvage-title Carrera RS sleeper, BMW CSLs, and 964 Turbos with eyebrow-raising price jumps.
The Quail Crash – Chevy plants the ZR1X (1,250 HP, $207K) smack in the middle of $2M hypercars. Genius or madness?
If it’s rare, loud, fast, or slightly insane—it’s on the docket. Strap in, it’s going to get rowdy.

This week on Full Throttle Talk, we’re calling it like we see it:
– Has Ferrari officially become a fashion brand? Are the cars still built for drivers—or for influencers with leased watches and TikTok egos?– Is Porsche heading the same way? Chasing lifestyle over lap times?– And let’s talk new car pricing insanity—why are enthusiast cars now $300K tech pods with fake engine sounds?
We also dive into:– The real impact of tariffs on new and used car values—and how it’s warping buyer perception– This or That: What’s the best daily driver under $75K? (Hint: If you said “Tesla,” stop listening.)– What we did this week in cars—including garage updates, auction picks, and what’s breaking next
Finally, we ask the big one:As new cars get heavier, pricier, and more soulless… does that make older analog cars even more valuable—or are they peaking?
No fluff. No filters. Just real car talk, the way it should be.

This week on Full Throttle Talk, the guys fire up the mics for a classic round of car chaos, caffeine, and controversy.
Tim reveals the official route for his “Hillbilly Car Guy Tour” in the RS6 Avant — a pilgrimage through Porsche sanctuaries, Corvette HQ, and a visit to his 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder that is FINALLY being assembled.. Paul recaps a C&C frenzy with an F40/F50 showdown in SoCal, Dave shares shop stories and new project madness, and Casey mixes Vespas, 968s, Land Cruisers, and backroom Porsche deals. The guys go deep with the popular segment called 'This or That' where they give you the option of 2 cars for the same price and you decide,...this our that.
We also dive into:
Homologation legends: 911 GT1, CLK GTR, 924 GTS Clubsport, and a Porsche 917 with no drivetrain

This week on Full Throttle Talk, we hit redline on controversy. Tim Harris, Paul Kramer, Casey Parkin, and Dave Van Epps dive headfirst into the rumored Nürburgring lap time of the upcoming Corvette ZR1X—reportedly a mind-melting 6:28. That’s faster than the AMG One. So what happens when a Chevy, built in Bowling Green, becomes the fastest production car on Earth… on Germany’s home turf? Let’s just say: Enzo’s ghost may need a stiff drink.
We also break down the do’s and don’ts of car rallies (spoiler: there’s a correct way to sticker a supercar), plus another round of “This or That,” where two Bring-a-Trailer finds under $30K battle for budget brilliance.
Then, Dave throws playful shade at 997 GT3s while we ask: is the 996 GT3 secretly the king of all GT3s? (Did you know it was seam-welded from the factory while the 997 used a 997S chassis? Yeah. It’s a thing.)
Finally, it’s the $700,000 question: if you could only pick one—911 ST, 458 Speciale, or Ford GT—what’s your play? The fact that all four hosts unanimously agreed is either a miracle… or a sign of the apocalypse.
It’s loud, it’s nerdy, it’s chaotic—and it’s Full Throttle Talk. Buckle up.

This week’s Full Throttle Talk is a no-holds-barred Porsche deep dive, and it’s one of our most opinion-packed episodes yet. Tim Harris, Paul Kramer, Casey Parkin, and Dave Van Epps fire up the mics to tackle the questions that Porsche owners argue over in garages, group chats, and concours lawns worldwide.
Why are Porsche fanatics willing to spend $20,000+ just to get the exact shade of green last seen on a '74 Carrera RS? We unpack the psychology, the scarcity, and the resale math behind Paint to Sample. Is it emotional vanity, smart investment—or both? You'll never look at a pastel orange GT3 the same way again.
We put the spotlight on the most undervalued and overhyped modern Porsche RS models. Some are tracking quietly under the radar… others are riding high on reputation alone. Which RS is still a steal—and which one is about to get a market correction?
Think rebuilding your stock 911 SC motor is a $10K weekend project? Think again. We walk you through the true cost of a standard rebuild—and why even a no-frills, numbers-matching engine refresh could set you back $30K–$40K. No mods. No tuning. Just reality.
Which delivers the better drive: the ultra-refined, perfectly balanced 911 R, or the raw, analog grit of the legendary 964 RS? We compare notes, impressions, and real-world experiences to help you pick your dream garage weapon.
And if that’s not enough? We couldn’t resist a few detours into Italian territory—with some spicy Pagani talk and Ferrari market insight to round out the ride.
This episode is a love letter to car obsession—where color choices spark bidding wars, and a rebuilt flat-six becomes a six-figure affair. Strap in. It's Full Throttle time.

On this week’s Full Throttle Talk, the gloves come off in a cross-generational showdown: Is the juice still worth the squeeze on classic 911 restorations—or have Porsche’s new RS models made old-school collecting obsolete?
Tim Harris, Greg Stanley, and Paul Kramer are joined by special guest Dave Van Epps, owner of Sunderwerks in North Carolina, for a raw, wrench-turning look at what it really costs to resurrect a vintage Porsche 911. From hidden bodywork disasters to six-figure rebuilds, this episode is a must-listen for anyone considering a restoration.
Then we fast-forward to today’s modern heroes: the 911 ST, 718 Spyder RS, and the incoming 911 RS. Are these turn-key, limited-run legends the smarter, safer bet? Or are they just tomorrow’s overpriced auction fodder?
We also break down the latest auction results—what’s selling, what’s stalling, and what might be heading for a correction. Whether you’re eyeing a barn find or a Bring-a-Trailer bidding war, this episode gives you the edge.
Real talk. No fluff. All throttle.
This week on Full Throttle Talk, Tim, Greg, and Paul delve into the seismic shifts shaking the automotive world. We kick things off with the surprising conclusion of Porsche's exclusive VIP program, exploring what this means for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Then, we transition to the electrifying performance of Ferrari's latest offerings—the 296 GTS and the track-focused 296 Speciale—examining how hybrid technology is redefining supercar expectations.
Our discussion heats up as we debate the merits of vintage versus modern Porsches, considering whether classic charm can outshine contemporary tech. We also spotlight undervalued gems in the current market, identifying models that savvy buyers should keep an eye on. The episode wouldn't be complete without a thrilling comparison between the BAC Mono and the Ariel Atom, two minimalist machines that promise maximum driving exhilaration.
