Outgrowing Familiar Spaces

In this episode, Alexis discusses how Faith activates God's promises– Faith by itself without action is dead (James 2:17). Your faith is the catalyst that sets in motion the plans God has for your life.  In this series, we will focus on the actions of Abraham and follow the steps he modeled to exercise our faith and receive the promise of the covenant established before our time. Supporting Scripture(s) Genesis 12:1-4 (NLT) – The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. 2 I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. 3 I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”4 So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. James 2:17 (NIV) – In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. Galatians 3:29 (NLT) – And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you. NASB 1995 – And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise. Application Grab a Journal and Meditate on the Scriptures above: Write down what the scriptures are saying to you and seek God for direction on how to apply the revelation to your life.  Come into agreement daily with the Promises by declaring them over your life through prayer. Take Action! It isn't enough to have Faith; you have to take action in order to receive the fullness of what God has for you!  Pray God sends you Equally Yolked friends to help you in your walk so that you're not doing this alone !

We tend to beautify the process and not talk about how it looks starting off our walk with Christ!On this week’s episode, I talk about the process of becoming who God created me to be while providing insight on the journey.  Scripture References: James 1:2-3 “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. You can’t afford to remain the same. You can’t afford to stay in the same environment that made you sick. Begin to connect with like minded people and remove what no longer aligns with who you are.
