In this hit investigative podcast, Ryan Wolf investigates some of Australasia's most enduring unsolved criminal cases.
Season Six
On August 28th 1999, 16 year old Jessica Gaudie was babysitting in Nambour, Sunshine Coast, Australia, when she vanished without a trace. In 2001 Aboriginal tracker Derek Sam was convicted of her murder, but denies his involvement and will not lead Police to Jessica's remains. 26 years later Ryan is on the ground in Australia looking for answers, and finds that he's not just looking for one missing woman, he's looking for three.
Season Five
In November of 2021, while the world was in lockdown. Dave Davan, a farmer in the rural far north community of Herekino found two bottles of wine in his mailbox. Assuming they were a gift he drank them, little did he know one bottle had been laced with the deadly poison Paraquat. In December Dave lost his short battle and sadly passed away. Three years on his murderer walks free. Ryan journeys to the remote and isolated far north to find the answer to the question: Who Killed Dave Davan?
In Season Four of GUILT - The Night of the Bonfire, Ryan heads Down Under, to Melbourne Australia to search for the truth. What happened to Alana Cecil?

I just re- listened to your sincere request at the beginning of this episode concerning listeners contacting people you have spoken to in your podcast. I understand that the listeners and broader public can be sources of information in investigating this case. Can I ask what you are doing to protect the privacy of the witnesses in your investigation? particularly it seems that you have given enough information that your listener 'sleuths' felt they had a right to pursue your interviewees?
Ricky surprising his mum was fabulous. So lovely to hear Alanas mum and partner. Having Ricky with Ryan was amazing. Such a good job Ryan well done 👏
Absolutely brilliant work! Addicted!
What was left in Jim’s locker? Were his civilian clothes still in there?
It sounds to me like Jim has either committed suicide, or has an undiagnosed mental condition like Schizophrenia and has happened upon some kind of accident. His behaviour sounds like someone who is unwell, not someone who is in danger or someone who plans to run away.
This podcast literally brings tears to my eyes, thinking of how the lives of these obviously beautiful young people were taken; thinking of the devastating heartache suffered by their loved ones, all for what? Well done for investigating this, Ryan. You rock. (Not so sure about the NZ police - or the police of Australia and the US either, having also listened to some of the investigative podcasts from these countries...)
Ryan, you can hear the disappointment and defeat in your voice, but please know you have done an amazing job with this Season. The truth is there. one day you will find her. Can't wait for next season here, in the land of Aus!
Awesome podcast
the guy who served prison is not "an innocent man"! he is a rapist and murderer. he is a good suspect for this crime and it is right that he was investigated. there may or may not have been a miscarriage of justice. he may or may not be the right man. but he is no "victim" of injustice. he is not "an innocent man", "wrongfully convicted", it is offensive and gross that this series is going to be built around all the injustices done to him, rather than "we got the wrong monster this time".
Excellent podcast, very enlightening content. Good to hear the Te Reo pronunciation improving, although some is still a little jarring! Keep up the good work.
I hate it when it finishes, can't wait for the next one! Brilliant Ryan, you can safely call yourself a journalist now! LOVE IT.
I've listened to this podcast, fantastic content! I heard about your show Ryan via Jack, so great you guys promote each others podcasts.
Excellent investigative podcast. Thank you and well done, Ryan.
Loving the Waiuku case. Lots of work has gone into this, and the police and family interviews are so good.
