So many announcements! Edie and Nick give their overview of all the announcements so far, including Dragon Age, Kingdom Come 2, and GEARS!!!!!!!!!!!
Streamed live on Oct 1, 2023 — Last Week for Edie!!! Next week: Nick gets spooky.
It's our last show of the month! Nick is off to sunbathe nekkid on a beach in Spain, drunk on dubstep and sangria. Or something like that. We fill you in on the latest before he goes, including Zenimax workers on strike!
Nick is about to bug out for sunny Spain. And we have news to talk about before he goes. TakeTwo officially announces a release window for GTA6, the PS5 Pro is NOT a mistake (really!), and if you're pissed off about that PSN account requirement to play that game you love, well... suck it up, buttercup.
So, we have something to say about this Xbox "streaming" bundle. Also, big name jumps from the Wolverine ship and lands on Perfect Dark island.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 launched this week, and for the first time, it's available day one on GamePass. This is a huge, all-in bet for Phil Spencer and Friends. Will it pay off? Let's discuss. Also... BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL 2 IS NOT DEAD!
This week's XBox Showcase had a LOT of good news, especially if you wanted Skull and Bones to be a GOOD pirate game. Also, news about layoffs at Riot, the release of a (and I'm not joking here...) GTA-Shakespeare crossover movie, and Green Day demasters their seminal album "Dookie" for a very unlikely platform.
Edie is down with the sickness (but not insane in the brain) but we're still here to bring you news, including Beyond Good and Evil is NOT DEAD!!!
Edie and Nick are back to catch up on TWO weeks' worth of news! We talk the impending close of Private Division (Kerbal, OlliOlli World, Hades), news about the Tomb Raider anime, and the final end of CP2077 development (only took 'em 12 years...).
Take Two had big news this week. We have a release date for GTA6 and, at least according to their studio heads, everything is fine... nobody's closing down... nothing to see here!
Streamed live on May 12, 2024 — Microsoft steps in a very large flaming pile of PR poop — of its own making, we might add — and shutters a studio that produced on of its more successful releases of 2023. Then they say they want to focus on more small, critically acclaimed games. Also, Ghost of Tsushima PC release cancelled for 170 countries, and Marvel Entertainment offers beta keys... but with a big, big catch. What are they trying to hide?
Edie and Nick in the same room! A rare sighting! Only a few casualties... all minor.
Streamed live on Nov 5, 2023 — Edie's back and whole, and now we can get back to talking about news.
Sep 24, 2023 - Oh man. That leak of Microsoft documents! So many interesting revelations -- and contradictions of what Phil et al have said in public! Let's talk about it!
Good lord, can't anyone make a decent f#%king game, lately? I know the pandemic was bad, y'all, but seriously... what the frick? Anyway... Redfall reveals more bad news, Suicide Squad delayed a emeffin' YEAR... and in shocking, North Dakota is apprently the the tech hub of the United States. Who knew?! Edie and Nick wrap the week's news.
So much bad news coming this week. First, we have Studio Wildcard doing everything it can to completely piss off fans, and then we have Monster Energy drink suing indy devs because they think they own the word "Monster."
The title is a little misleading... we won't be talking about fart jokes the WHOLE time. We also have the roundup of news, including Naughty Dog's apology for the Last of Us Part 1's PC port, the return of an OG Dragon Age dev to the team, and the unofficial final curtain for E3.
Yaaaaa... that happened.
If you didn't know any better, you might think there's trouble at Square Enix. In one week they close.... uh, make that "absorb"... the Forspoken studio and boot their CEO. Strange things are afoot at the Circle S.
This week, do you say "It's a live service game" without saying "live service"? Well Rocksteady Games showed us how, and the gaming world HATES it. Microsoft attempts to blunt the whole "CoD monopoly" holding up their Activision buyout in the most cynical way possible. And E3 is not dead; it just smells that way.
