After a long layoff the boys are back to talk no hitters, Tony La Russa, and guys looking weird in new uniforms. Baseball is SO BACK and so are the boys.
The boys talk the first two weeks of the season before going into full deliberation over the new rules proposed in the MLB through the Atlantic League. Boy, oh boy, is this a wild one. The boys go off. Tune in and don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review!
The boys recap the first week of the season, from Castellanos to Shohei, from packed stadiums to a moved all star game. The boys are here to cover it all. Cheers y'all!
The boys are locked in for Opening Day (not that locked in, we got the number wrong again) and come out with some HOT topics. Joe Biden, team vaccinations, and COVID restrictions are discussed before going into talking injuries that will effect some squads early in the year. More serious, less laughs (still some, just less), but we still bring the heat. Appreciate this season everyone!
Tommy is a big dumb idiot and says that its episode 85, its 84. ANOTHER slow news week, so we get through it by talking injuries and drafting the Central Divisions. Did we get it right? Who should take home the whole crown??
Drafting AL East vs NL East. Which team would you go with? Did we get it right? Let us know!
The boys take a dull news week and turn it into a new fun concept. Drafting a fantasy team from each division and pitting them against each other! We start in the West; who do you think got the better team? Let us know @brkdwn_sports!
Good grief, what an episode. With more news breaking on Mickey Callaway and his extra-marital affairs while in Cleveland, the boys dive into that. They also dive into some nickname drama regarding Frankie Lindor, and lastly the boys have their own Rotary Club meeting, and discuss the comments made my Mariners former president/CEO Kevin Mather. As always the boys take on some more serious topics with the light heartedness you've come to love them for.
The boys mourn Tim Tebow's retirement and debate if it was a failed or successful experiment. They talk about the continuing dumpster fire that is the Mets. They break down every team's win totals for the upcoming season and wrap on the Fernando Tatis contract. We're back baby. Pitchers and catchers are reported and we are READY.
The boys are back after a bit of a layoff, sorry about that G-Unit. But we are BACK and better than ever. Tommy and Seven dive into the moves that went down when they were away and then get BREAKING news about the Benintendi trade. Finally, the boys cap it off with the classic "Who is the face of the league?"
The boys reveal the 2021 Gappie Award Winners and dive into the current news of the MLB. As always, a fun filled episode that you gotta check out!
The Indians traded Francisco Lindor, and Tommy reacts accordingly. There really isn't much more you need to know about this one.
The boys get off the rail in record time talking about a Christmas favorite. But when they reel it back in they dive into the Padres shaking the landscape of the MLB. The trade for Blake Snell immediately puts the Padres in the conversation for the best in baseball, where do the guys land on it and how do they see it shaking out? What else moves the needle for them? And are YOU ready for the Gappie Awards next week? Tweet your award nominees and award ideas to @TCarosielli8, @real7costanza, and @brkdwn_sports.
The boys dive into the name change of the Cleveland baseball team, the history behind some of the rumored changes, and they cast their vote for the future name. They also talk about the MLB's decision to include the Negro League as a "major league" and how it's stats will impact the landscape of MLB's record books. They touch on how the MLB has been speculating pushing the season start back a month for the COVID-19 vaccine. Lastly, they talk Hunter Renfroe's signing to the Boston Red Sox. Come laugh with us.
The boys are back on the mic after a pair of episode-less weeks. The free agent market is starting to take shape for this offseason and the boys dive into what they see as the top stories of the market. They talk about the Mets being, wait for it, competent. The Rays are falling apart, and Seven is HERE FOR IT. And finally, the boys break down the Hall of Fame ballot. Tommy makes his usual case for Barry Bonds, Seven refutes that, and then they cast their own ballots. The usual shenanigans of your favorite baseball podcasters are back just in time for the holidays. Let's get it.
Cy Youngs and Managers of the Year have been announced and Tommy and Seven dive in right away. They tackle Trevor Bauer's Lids ad and the real meaning behind all the hats WAKE UP SHEEPLE. Tony La Russa's second DUI is discussed and what do the boys think the White Sox should do in response? They discuss Alex Cora's rehiring and Steven Cohen's comments about why he bought the Mets. They end on a heartfelt thank you to the CPBL fans. As always, listen and subscribe and leave a review wherever you listen!
The boys are back in action as they dive into #AwardsSZN before we get into the offseason sadness. Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers have been chosen and Tommy and Seven break them all down. Tommy dies on his hill of Rawlings athletes winning Gold Gloves. Here’s the Adam Dunn video Tommy refers to, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiZfc0b2t3Q&t=549s Finally the boys dive into free agency with MLB Trade Rumors predictions of the Top 50 Free Agents. They go into the Top 10 and the best of the rest. As always, thanks for listening. Cheers.
The boys dive right into the World Series champion Dodgers and how the decision of Kevin Cash may have affected the rest of the series. The Mets have been officially purchased by Steven Cohen. Does Cohen = Charles Minor? Are the Mets Dunder Mifflin? AJ Hinch is going to Detroit and Tony La Russa is going to the White Sox. Who got the better deal? With the pandemic, teams are struggling to pick up player options, and there's a ton of talent now available. How does your team's free agent pool look?
Tommy and Seven discuss the World Series first two games and go deep on the Gold Glove finalists and the Players Choice Awards. The usual laughs mixed with some good analytical conversation that you've come to love us for.
