Michael Josem returns after his adventures in Douglas South where he missed out on a seat by a handful of votes. A valiant effort that took IOM politics to another level. Derek has been musing over new spiritual activities in the North and Ged has nip out to stop the dog barking, Opinions are held by the individual contributors and not necessarily held by the director of this broadcast.

Derek, Ged and Michael have been entertained this week with the latest happenings from the Department that keeps on giving. A welcome kickstart to the licensing trade this week with bars and pubs back in business brings hope for many.Coverage of the recent events in the media across in the UK could be doing the IOM a favour in the long run.

Discussions about today's protest in Douglas and the wave of public interest where 1500 people attended.Lord Flint of Ramsey remonstrated about the latest fantastic rates bill and lack of seagull action around his manor. The trio were on more or less agreeable terms as the inevitable opinions on speed limits and Government performance emerged. We finished off with admiration for the Manx Twitterscape's efforts to make our favourite films have an IOM theme.
Michael is firing on all cylinders this evening. Josem gives the narrative on the concept of Chinese spycraft being planted here in the Island's hardware plus an accurate insight into the state of the USA mess. Degsy and Ged dangerously muse over the prospect of a TT free rock. Josem's latest blogs and news HERE
Along with other predictions and comment on the TripodKast, another Island COVID theme has come true. At last, the Josem influence pays off and the Manx C19 testing regime it to hit turbo mode and realise more capacity .The unfaltering, articulate Flint extols an almanac of Mountain Road opinion as gives it all on the great Manx speed limit debate. The Barnard Castle eyesight 'test drive' draws a muse on this days where headlines where DOMinated with THAT story. Lord Flint revealed the tale of reams of modern legislation lying on a shelf in some department or other. Transformational laws to bring the Rock into the right century...
The latest Tripodkast includes Rosemary Wilkins who has a strong background in traffic matters in the UK. She is a transport practitioner who shares her thoughts with Rob Holden (IOM Active Travel Guru) and Andrew Bentley, IOM Green Party Chair, Douglas Councillor and local architect. The group discuss the concept of a permanent move to a one way traffic system in Lord Street, Douglas. Andrew talks of reductions in pollution and Rosemary explains experiences and compares urban scenarios in the South of England. Rob is passionate about adjusting the travel structure for the Capital and beyond.Does the IOM need a 'Boris Bike' gimmick to get cycling going?Mark Cavendish? Is he the great two wheeled hope? This makes for an enlightening discussion which is timely as the Manx population are purchasing push bikes galore and many families are taking their travel to the tarmac. Please see further Lord Street information HERE and a feature on cycle tourism HERE
Michael Josem has been frantic at the keyboard. Check his website HERE for the latest comment on the unemployment figures for the Isle of Man. Slightly skewed numbers? We'll let you decide. Derek has avoided a haircut so far and is generally confined to the Ramsey retail extravaganza with the new pedestrianised zone on the street. Flinty has lots to say this week about media coverage from those we pay our taxes to. The guy should be at the centre of a media engine. Meanwhile, Ged is convinced the plan isn't to eradicate C19 on the Island, just let it tick over instead. Take it on the chin slowly.
Michael, Derek and Ged muse the latest COVID Crisis news. The headlines have been busy and hot topics were to some extent, given a Clouseau style forensic examination.
Mike, Derek and Ged investigate the latest moves on the Island in this 'state of emergency'. The Mr Whippy shot elicited more than 99 reasons for conjecture.  Tram$$$ plus Lord Street hotels are analysed. What about the missing Ministers? No national crisis podium time? Gagged?
Degsy and Michael get heated again. Our man Flint can't see a blossoming future on a barren rock, Josem is assured the independent spirit of the Island will define success. Ged has had a bad day at the desk as the tourism season is more or less extinguished for this year. Send in your comments and suggestions. Find us on Twitter - We use our own names!
Talking with Andy Saunders who is an experienced licensee in Douglas. Over 27 years at the famous Quids Inn Bar located on Douglas Promenade, you could say that he has seen it all.Andy tells us about the difficulties in the trade at the moment and how to possible moves overcome them.
To fish or not to fish? Following the blandest of pressers, the guys chat about the latest news,
The C19 crisis embarks on it's second month. The rules are relaxed, test results favourable and the construction industry are back on the tools Friday. What next? Derek, Michael and Ged chat for 35 minutes until the audio 'malfunctions' mysteriously.
Out of the three, one (unnamed) is filled with doom and gloom whilst painting an apocalyptic picture for the next week of Manx News. Michael and Derek are more hopeful on how the economy will be fired up for action.
Derek's day was made as the fastest helicopters on the planet descended on the rock. Just a routine visit apparently. Michael is still TEST TEST TEST focussed and now the issue of masks has materialised. (Is there a cover up?)Ged has dreams of the Island's elite brains conjuring up an IOM economic formula for success.
Tom Gandy speaks to Ged about the frustrations of being stuck at home and not playing golf on tour. Events have been cancelled and there is a question about whether PGA Qualifying will have to take place at the end of the year. Tom shares his thoughts about the challenges faced by him and his fellow professionals in such lean times for golf. The Rowany Golf Club bid to host the British Open is still alive for 2020
Derek and Ged open up with a tribute to Richard Lloyd who they served with in a former career. Richie had lost his fight for life yesterday as the IOM claimed it's second recorded C19 victim. As the discussion progresses, Michael talks about the address from the Bishop of Sodor at lunchtime. Is it right that one religious doctrine is represented at the expense of others? Other topics about the drug market, law enforcement and changing consumer/lifestyle habits.
Ged has been out on a bike ride keeping an eye on all this social distancing. Michael and Derek stayed in to listen to David Ashford's latest presser which was determined as 'impressive'. Plenty of talking points on the latest C19 news from the Isle of Man
