Get ready fellow geeks! It’s time again for another episode. In this conclusion of a two-part gaming deep dive, the guys explore the different game-genres and maybe even rant about it. Are these labels any good at describing the many different flavors of videogames or not at all? Also don’t miss our special segment, Lost In Translation: Videogame Edition (can we make sense of this mess of words?) And stick around for a buttery taste test with a touch of magic. Grab your controllers and tune in for Episode 17 - Of Games & Geeks, Part 2! Listen to part 1 if you haven't already! Check out our ko-fi link if you want to buy us a coffee! More Geeky Guys? The geeks are back! And it’s time to talk about one of their greatest passions: videogames. In this first installment of a two-part gaming deep dive, the guys explore the process of creating a game and what lessons are hidden within. Is it completely unique or do they share a common ground with other creative processes? But that's not all – Sem spills the beans on his latest gaming obsession, while Kim delivers a spoiler-free review of a less-than-stellar Netflix adaptation of a beloved classic. Plug in and press start for Episode 16 - Of Games & Geeks, part 1. Stay tuned for part 2! Check out our ko-fi link if you want to buy us a coffee! More Geeky Guys? As darkness falls across the land, the geeky guys take their recorder in hand. For they have found, a place empty, and full of haunt. A mansion old, completely desserted but the creeping mold. A haven for afflicted souls searching for some peace of mind, perhaps the geeks will find some of their kind. And thus, as halloween falls, the guys explore these empty halls. Listen along and tremble, and hear what creatures lurk there and shamble. This is... The Twisted Tale Of Huize Geesterust. they (are n)ever get(ting) out .. More Geeky Guys? Check our links!

How do these parks immerse us, and what does it mean in terms of escapism? Lastly, they embark on an imaginary trip to a yet-to-be-built theme park inspired by a universe of their choosing.. November is that month, where you just stay indoors and want nothing but a cup of tea and a nice show to binge the dark hours away. So in this latest episode of the Geeky Guys series have prepared just that! The guys talk about some of their favorite tv-series and one they found less than stellar: They review Amazon’s Rings Of Power & discuss what makes a tv show good, or bad, and why there are so many mediocre ones. As a little spin-off; Kim rambles on about his first dutch comic con experience ever. What’s there to see, and what does a geek need to go there? In another sitcom of a segment; Sem is challenged to guess the tv-show theme song - how many will he get right?  And to top off this series, a terrible idear finale.  Kick up your feet and binge along in Episode 12 - Breaking Binge & Streamer Things! As night falls, and October draws to an end, the geeks find themselves on the fore-eve of Halloween once again. Tonight, instead of the horror & terror of years past, they'd rather have a nice and calm special. Join the geeks as they take their field recorder to visit an old mansion that's been abandoned..or so they thought.. Strange sounds or just the wind? Dark figures or just shadows? A simple basement or the lair of a serial killer? And why is that glitchy Ouija app acting up again? Nothing is certain on the night of Halloween.. Shiver and tremble with the Geeks Guys in the Halloween Special “22 More Geeky Guys? Check our socials: https://linktr.ee/geekyguys

The year is 2022. The future is here. After a long time of silence, they are back. Amongst the ugly, the confusion and murderous AI, the Geeks attempt to create something of beauty. The guys bring to you an episode filled with talks, horrible creations and bad ideas. First, they share their thoughts about the recent release of Stranger Things: Season 4! What do the guys make of this season’s the Good, the Bad, Vecna & the Russians? Working their way up to the glorious Midjourney AI, and it’s power of creating impressive (and monstrous) art. The Geeks discuss what their thoughts are on this new tool, and attempt to answer the question ‘Who is the maker of this work’? Following this, an oldie classic returns; That`s a Terrible Idear. Where the guys get a challenge and 2 minutes to come up with the best (worst) concept they can. Will they generate another terrible idear? Lastly, a game to satisfy our gaming needs... Check out the horrible creations made by Midjourney and us here! and check out Midjourney here! More Geeky Guys? Check out our links!
It's Episode 8. Already? Yes. On time? Sort of. As per schedule? Almost. Coming up in this new installment of the kind-of-monthly podcast for all things media: The geeks dive into the world of MAD MAX and compare the many FURIOUS factions that make up this violent WASTELAND, and brainstorm together on another group that involves high tech weaponry and bodyhacking. Followed by a stupid little game where they put themselves before terrible choices such as picking between the Harry Potters books taking place during a zombie apocalypse, or a Star Wars x Jurassic park crossover movie. Who even came up with this? All that, and a little more, in Episode 8 - Enter the Newtonix Mechanix. Enjoy. George Miller,  if you are listening, please accept our ideas. More Geeky Guys? Another episode, another hour or so of rambles and geekness. Join the Geeks, as they rattle on and lose themselves a little bit in a conversation about the processes of creating something. What does it take to create a concept make it into something? What does creating a theatre production have in common with designing a videogame? Then they showcase these creation skills by talking about two magic items for D&D which the Geeks have brewed themselves at home. One of which takes evolves around losing.. The theme of getting lost continues, as the Geeks play a game called Lost in translation. A game in which various quotes have been mangled by Google Translate and Sem & Kim lose a little bit of their sanity. Can Sem guess all (or any) of the warped quotes?  One final thing (-besides our sanity) that has been lost in this episode was the audio quality… Our apologies for the choppy audio near the end of the episode , we hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Get lost..in episode 7 - verloren in creatie (lost in creation)
