Adam Driver revealed he and director Steven Soderbergh spent years developing The Hunt for Ben Solo — a Star Warssequel Lucasfilm liked but Disney shut down. Turns out, the idea didn’t survive because Ben Solo didn’t either. In this Gen X Reverb: Side Quest, Justin breaks down what actually happened and why fans need to stop begging for a Kylo Ren revival. 📰 Sources mentioned:People Magazine – “Adam Driver Reveals Why Disney Turned Down a ‘Really Cool’ Star Wars Sequel Called The Hunt for Ben Solo” (Oct 21, 2025)🔗 https://people.com/adam-driver-disney-turned-down-star-wars-sequel-ben-solo-11833519Lucasfilm Announcement – “Star Wars: Starfighter Cast Revealed” (Aug 28, 2025)🔗 https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-starfighter-cast
“Can’t say I remember no At Attin”
Skeleton Crew Episode 4 – Filler But Still Engaging
In the world of episodic TV shows, filler episodes can sometimes feel like they’re just padding out the season. However, Skeleton Crew Episode 4, “Can’t Say I Remember At Atin,” stands out as an interesting yet somewhat unnecessary chapter in the overall storyline. Justin and Bradley sat down to discuss this episode and found themselves with differing reactions.
While both agree this is indeed a filler episode, Bradley admits that the show made him feel “some type of way” about the direction it took. Despite its lack of major plot developments, there are still key moments and character dynamics that kept him engaged.
Justin shares that while he wasn’t expecting a groundbreaking episode, he found it enjoyable enough to hold attention.
In true Gen X fashion, they wrapped up the review with a fun look back at the Konami Code — a cheat code that became a symbol of gaming culture. What better way to close out an episode than with a nod to the good old days of gaming? And what better way to commemorate that moment than with a K-Code t-shirt?

Bradley goes lone wolf and tells you why he thought Superman 2025 was not as good as he was hoping.
In this lively episode, the Gen X Reverb crew dives into Kenny and Hope’s epic cruise through the Mexican Riviera— hear about breathtaking views, shipboard fun, port excursions, and more! 🌊🚢 Then we pivot to the silver screen and break down what’s ahead in entertainment and movies over the next few years — from franchise revivals to risky originals. 🎬Whether you're a travel junkie, film buff, or just want to hang with your favorite Gen X voices, this one’s got something for everyone.
I saw the How to Train Your Dragon live-action remake… and I have thoughts. In this episode, I unpack why this remake felt like a clunky cosplay of the original. From jarring diversity choices in a Viking village, to Gobber’s wild prosthetic downgrade, to live-action humans moving like they’re dodging foam axes at a Renaissance fair—it’s all here.I talk about:• Why DEI casting broke immersion• Why the animation >>> live-action• Nick Frost as Gobber (and why I miss Craig Ferguson)• Mason Thames as Hiccup vs. Jay Baruchel• The awkward parent moment in the fire trial scene• And why scene-for-scene remakes can feel like lazy cinemaDon’t worry, it’s not all fire and brimstone—I give credit where it’s due: Gerard Butler still brings the heat, and Julian Dennison made me laugh out loud.If you saw the remake, you’ll get it. If you haven’t… maybe just rewatch the 2010 classic.🎧 Press play and let’s talk dragons, diversity, and why not everything needs a live-action reboot.
Sorry, toward the end, all we could do is fade out. We'll make the next episode fun and fire!
