The formation of New Zealand and the discovery of Zealandia How an undersea volcano created the Victorian town of Oamaru"
This programme is available to primary schools within the Waitaki District.

Today it offers educational insight into the formation of our land and the marine creatures that once lived here. We recently delivered programmes on the Plesiosaur fossil discovered at Shag Point, volcanoes, and the School of Rock to a local primary school. Learn more here.
Find a fossil, rock painting and a volcano activity at the Friendly Bay Fun Day in Oamaru recently. Children collected marine fossils from limestone that was 25 million years old. They painted rounded greywacke cobbles that were originally sands off Gondwana around 200 million years ago - before dinosaurs became extinct!
