Some friendships become part of every adventure. Join the Geocache Talk Network on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 8pm Central as we remember and celebrate Tim Green, known throughout the geocaching community as Merlin1392, who passed away on September 6. The GTN team will be joined by Joshua the Geocaching Vlogger, Neil Moore, Jason Hale, and other friends for an evening of heartfelt memories, favorite stories, and appreciation for the life Tim shared with us. As our friend and Challenge Talk co-host, Tim helped remind us that geocaching’s greatest treasures are the experiences we share and the people we meet along the way. Together, we’ll honor his love of adventure and the friendships that continue to connect us. Whether you knew Tim personally, enjoyed watching him on Challenge Talk, or shared a trail with him, we invite you to join us. Bring your memories and share a favorite story in the live chat as we celebrate someone who meant so much to our community. Forever our friend. Challenge Complete!
In our last episode, Nathan and Rebecca shared a geocaching adventure—but their kids weren’t quite as excited about one particular stop! Which famous geocache did they visit where their kids weren’t exactly thrilled? Send us the name of the geocache, along with your geocaching name, to enter. We’ll randomly select a winner from all correct entries. Happy listening!
Join the Geocache Talk Network this Sunday as SuperNate and Called2Care take us along on their Midwest Geocaching Odyssey. We’ll dig into their adventures, hear the stories behind the finds, how to handle caching with kids, and discover what makes exploring America’s heartland one cache at a time so much fun. Where will the next set of coordinates lead? Tune in and find out!
All those letters… and not a coordinate in sight! Ready to crack the code? Join Puzzle Talk this Tuesday night at 8pm CST on the Geocache Talk Network as we tackle the Vigenère cipher—a secret-code classic that can leave geocachers scratching their heads! We’ll explore how it works, why a keyword holds the key, and how to turn a jumble of letters into a readable message. Follow along as we work through a solve and connect the clues, one letter at a time. 🧩 New to ciphers? Come learn with us! 🔎 Experienced puzzle solver? Bring your tips and join the conversation! 💬 Have a Vigenère puzzle that left you stumped? Tell us about it in the live chat! Grab your puzzle-solving notebook and your best detective attitude. Let’s turn “What does THAT mean?” into “Aha!” Subscribe and turn on notifications so you don’t miss Puzzle Talk! #PuzzleTalk #GeocacheTalkNetwork #Geocaching #VigenereCipher #PuzzleCaches #CodeBreaking
The Lost Caches Project — The Hunt Begins! An archived listing. A forgotten trail. A weathered ammo can waiting beneath years of leaves. What remains when a geocache disappears from the map? Join Geocache Talk Network this Sunday at 7pm Central as we venture into geocaching’s forgotten history! We’re discussing The Lost Caches Project: tracking down the oldest archived caches in your area and documenting what remains. From abandoned containers in the woods to the missing Project A.P.E. caches around the world, every location holds a story. Who placed it? What adventures happened there? And could a piece of that history still be hiding in plain sight? Grab your flashlight, dust off those old coordinates, and bring your curiosity! We’ll talk about researching vanished caches, respecting property boundaries and access rules, and preserving the stories behind these lost treasures. Have you rediscovered an archived cache—or have one you’ve always wanted to investigate? Bring your stories and questions to the live chat!   #geocaching #geocache #GeocacheTalk #archived
