Episode 25:42 How To Be Healed (Part 1) Short and sweet. That could have been the title of this week's episode. Why? Because this episode is, by far, the shortest episode I've recorded. It's also one of the most important. I say that because, on this episode I discuss two of the most important principles of healing. Episode 25:41 The (Natural) Autoimmune Solution It is estimated that nearly 50 million Americans suffer with an autoimmune disorder. Conditions such as Hashimoto's, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, Multiple Sclerosis, Type 1 Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis and Vitiligo. The cause, according to the medical profession, is unknown. I don't believe that. The treatment, according to the medical profession, focuses on drugs. Drugs such as Immunosuppressants, Anti-Inflammatories, Corticosteroids, and Pain killers. I don't agree with that. The mechanism of action is that the Immune System starts attacking healthy cells. I don't think that's correct. So, what do I think? THAT is what this episode is all about. The cause, treatment and mechanism of action regarding autoimmune disorders. It's an episode that will certainly ruffle some feathers while also shedding some light on an interesting subject. Episode 25:40 How To Create A Roadmap For Healing People often ask me to design them a plan. A "roadmap" that will help them overcome some health condition… naturally, without drugs or surgery. Unfortunately, that's not as simple as it sounds because we're all different. Different because we all have different strengths… and we all have different weaknesses. Because of our differences, there is not one "roadmap for healing" that will work for everyone. There IS, however, one thing that WILL help. It's an outline. An outline that I share with people in an effort to help them design a personalized roadmap for healing. An outline that is based upon 5 words. Episode 25:39 What If Everything You've Been Taught About Healthcare Was Wrong? We currently live in a world is full of misinformation… especially when it comes to healthcare. In fact, it is my contention that, as a nation, our whole premise of healthcare is wrong. For example, we actually DON'T have "healthcare"… we have "disease care." That is, people don't to the doctor to "Get Healthy", they go to the doctor to "treat their disease." Not only is this approach wrong... it's ineffective. Ineffective because it relies on drugs. Drugs that have negative side-effects. Drugs that don't address the underlying CAUSE. Drugs that are expensive. There has to be a better way. However, before coming up with a better way, we must first identify the problem. On this week's episode I do just that. Episode 25:37 Here's 4 Ways To Lower Your A1C Level Naturally More than 100 million Americans have elevated blood sugar levels… and don't even know it! Another 50 million have elevated levels and DO know it. That's not good! It's not good because elevated blood sugar levels lead to deadly sicknesses and diseases. Disease such as Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer, Alzheimer's and Dementia. So, how do you know if blood sugar levels are elevated? It's easy! Simply have your doctor order a blood test known as an "A1C Test." If your A1C score is above 5.4 it's considered to be elevated (high). Episode 25:34 Knowing Your INSULIN Level Is As Important As Knowing Your Blood Sugar Level. Here's Why… Most doctors, when ordering blood work for a patient, will include an A1C test. This is wise because an A1C test will reveal what a person's blood sugar has been, on average, over the previous three months. Ideally, your A1C score should be below 5.7 (my preference is for it to be 5.4 or less). A score between 5.7 and 6.4 reflects Prediabetes, while a score of 6.5 or above is considered to be Diabetic. But there's a problem with this: A person's A1C score is NOT the only indicator of blood sugar issues. Or, stated another way, a person can have a normal A1C score and still have SEVERE blood sugar issues. How? By having elevated Insulin levels! On this episode I share the story of a patient of mine whose blood sugar levels were okay… but his Insulin levels were through the roof! In fact, his Insulin levels were so high that he was, in my opinion, a walking time bomb. However, because he had his Insulin levels tested… something MOST doctors don't do… we were able to identify this problem and address it accordingly.
