We are back, baby!!  Thank you for bearing with us when life, kids' sports, self doubt, crazy dogs, and lots of Y Chromosomal shenanigans get in the way. This episode features our very first guest, Jen Iwanicki, a fabulous leader in the technology consulting space. We cover lots of topics, but there is a strong focus on the importance of mentoring, finding your people, and general shenanigans (as per usual).    Should we have done more editing? Sure, but sometimes we just need to embrace good enough!
We decided that there is so much invisible labor women are expected to do in Corporate America that we had to dedicate another episode (10?) to it! Tune in for our thoughts on the judgements passed based on women's appearance, the resulting invisible labor, and what to do about it.
Mansplaining, every woman in Corporate America deals with it on regular basis, but what the heck do we do about it? Courtney and Sarah share their thoughts in the first of what we are sure will be many episodes on this topic!    Articles Referenced:  https://www.bizjournals.com/bizwomen/news/latest-news/2023/03/when-your-colleague-is-mansplaining-heres-what.html?page=all http://rebeccasolnit.net/book/men-explain-things-to-me/ https://www.theguardian.com/science/2023/feb/03/let-me-mansplain-studies-reveal-negative-impacts-of-behaviour
Learn about Emotional Labor or "Glue Work", why it falls on women, and how it impacts their careers and broader leadership teams.
Courtney and Sarah take on Likability Bias and how it impacts women's career growth. Listen is to learn about what it is and how to handle it Ginger Rage style!
Not all feedback is a gift, and, if it is, it's like a vacuum cleaner or a gym membership: useful but not at all thoughtful or constructive. Join us for a deeper conversation on the subject of feedback where we will not only answer your questions, but we will also delve deeper into the importance of feedback and what the difference is between a boss and a leader.
Friends, thank you for tuning in to our very first episode of the Ginger Rage Podcast!  This is an introduction really, so we hope this is a first step in giving all of you fabulous ladies out there a platform to share your stories and get advice on your experiences as women in the workforce. Gents, join the party because we can't make strides forward without your help!
