Now, she’s added author to her long resume, and doing it quite well might I add, with the release of her book “Make The World Your Runway: ”, a labor of love that highlights the importance of walking in purpose, being confident and how to tap into and own your genius. The “Naomi Campbell of Plus” and a force to be reckoned with on and off the runway, Liris has proven that knowing who you are and trusting God to lead your journey is the key to success. Bad Decision Making

Why do we, as Christian women, keep making bad decisions—even when we know better? In this powerful first episode of Girls Anthem Unplugged, host Mya Kay opens up about the real (and often overlooked) reasons why so many of us struggle with decision-making as believers. Obedience vs. Disobedience: When You Do Your Part but Others Don’t

What do you do when you obey God—but the people around you don’t? In this timely and truth-filled episode, I’m unpacking what it means to walk in obedience when others choose disobedience. I share real stories from my own life where I did what God asked of me, yet things didn’t turn out as expected because others didn’t respond the way they should have.Through biblical examples—from Elijah and King Ahab to Paul and the early churches—I explore how God still honors your faithfulness even when others fall short. You'll also hear how Jonah, Jesus, and others navigated this tension and what it means for us today. This episode is for the faithful servant who's felt overlooked, discouraged, or delayed because someone else didn’t do their part. It’s a reminder that your obedience still matters, and someone’s destiny might be waiting on your "yes." Stay encouraged and trust that God sees, God knows, and God rewards.Scriptures Referenced:1 Kings 18:16-40; 1 Kings 19 & 21Isaiah 41: 10; Galatians 6:9; 1 Peter 4:191 Corinthians 1:10-17; Galatians 1:6-9; 2 Timothy 4:1-5Romans 8:28; Psalm 37:5; Hebrews 12:1-3Jonah 1-4 (The whole book)Psalm 34:17; Jeremiah 29:11; Romans 12:12Matthew 23; John 8:37-47; Luke 13:31-35John 16:33; Psalm 27:14; 2 Corinthians 12:9Email List Sign Up: Girls AnthemGirls Anthem Print Magazine: Order Here
