Description

While there are new movies that are fun and enjoyable, they just don‘t have the same impact as the movies we remember as kids/teenagers.

So, we figured we were not alone in our nostalgia and created a podcast to entertain people who feel the same as us.

We will talk about what made certain movies so memorable. We will talk about a movie so cheesy but still makes us smile. We will share a memory of watching a movie for the first time.

***DANGER TO MANIFOLD*** We’re shifting into NOS-fueled nostalgia as we rip open the movie that started it all — Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Corona bottles, quarter-mile lives, and dialogue that should not work but absolutely does. We talk about why the first Fast and Furious film still hits hard and is definitely a top contender in the franchise with practical stunts that actually mattered, that buster-to-brother arc, and whether Dom Toretto was already the most quotable philosopher in action movies. So buckle up for Family, felonies, and really bad DVD player robberies — let’s ride.... A quarter mile at a time    Patreon: https://tr.ee/UDyHSEtkoY
Forced Vengeance - B/Action

Forced Vengeance - B/Action

It's no secret how much we love Chuck Norris, and sometimes that love needs to be FORCED upon the non-believers. That brings us to 1982’s Forced Vengeance! Chuck Norris is Josh Randall head of security for a family casino in Hong Kong. He collects checks and breaks necks! When the family gets in over their heads, Randall has to jump into action! Chuck Norris takes no shit in this one as he tears through the bad guys ranks looking for revenge! We gush over fight scenes and badass dialogue. We laugh at the no nonsense character that is Josh Randall. Most of all, we argue over the rating! Don't just watch Action, B-Action!!!   Patreon: https://tr.ee/UDyHSEtkoY
Tonight, on After Hours Cinema: From the desk of Anna - "I wanted to go a different direction for September and bring a straight up comedy to the table. We're the Millers is one of my favorites from the mid 2000's, and I feel like comedy movies like this don't get made anymore. Pete famously doesn't like comedies, so I knew it would be a crap shoot picking this one in the first place. We, luckily, had a delightful conversation and discovered how we review a different genre together. Pete broadened his horizons and we had a learning experience together. Win win."
Matt Hunter returns to B-ACTION! But not THAT Matt Hunter. This is The Dudikoff we're talking about and he's bringing the heat! But so are we with a special guest! Director, writer, make up and special effects artist Steven Kostanki joins the B-ACTION crew to talk about 1986's Avenging Force! It's a wild ride in the bayou with guns, swords, tridents, and more! Stop me if you've heard this one before: The world's richest and most powerful men are racist assholes with a desire to hunt other men for sport. Only this time, they picked the wrong guy! This one is brutal and pulls no punches, which makes it awesome when it comes time to kill the bad guys! Don't just watch Action, B-Action!!!
Battle Royale - Action?

Battle Royale - Action?

2026-09-0101:50:15

Battle Royale Before we started recording, we talked about whether or not Battle Royale (2000) was an action or horror movie and we landed on action movie with extremely horrific tones. Pete's main talking point was that unlike a big explodie action movie where grunts are mowed down by the dozens, Battle Royale gives every murdered victim a name and number so that regardless how you feel about that particular character, you still get to know them. Not only are children killing each other but you also kinda know who they are which is where the horror come into place. The subject of a forced deathmatch has been covered by films like "Lord of the Flies," "The Running Man," "The Hunger Games" and even video games like "PUBG" and "Fortnight" but what Battle Royale does is lean heavily on the brutality and hopelessness of the situation. It's a recommended movie from both of us, just know it's not a movie you're going to have fun with at any point. Patreon: https://tr.ee/UDyHSEtkoY
