Global Natives

Global Natives mission is to convey the stories of indigenous groups across the globe. We’ll take a journey through the continents and hear firsthand experiences, anecdotes and narratives of those who identify as natives, aboriginals and indigenous peoples of their lands. Global Natives seeks to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of ancestral heritage. My goal is to bring visibility to the unique voices and perspectives of modern day ancestors discussing the challenges and contributions of their people, from past to present.

Episode 2 - Lyle Thompson

Lyle Thompson joins me to discuss how his Onondoga roots are intertwined with Lacrosse, known as [Deyhontsigwa'ehs] in his native language.  Lyle is the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer and someone universally regarded as one of the best lacrosse players in the world.  (Member of the: Iroquois Nationals, Chesapeake and Georgia Swarm).  Despite his well-deserved accolades and his love of the sport, so too is the love of his culture and heritage.
