Go When God Calls

You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out (Part 2)

Have you ever felt like you’re walking in the dark, unsure of what comes next? Last week on Go When God Calls we talked about the foundation of our faith — God’s love, salvation through Jesus, and becoming a new creation in Him. In this episode, I’m continuing that conversation with four powerful verses that show us how to walk out our faith step by step. Whether you’re a brand new Christian or you’ve been following Jesus for years, these promises will strengthen and encourage you. 📖 Scripture Highlights Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Philippians 4:13 (KJV) “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 💬 Quote: “Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading.” — Oswald Chambers 🎧 Takeaway: You don’t have to have it all figured out to follow Jesus. His Word lights your next step, His Spirit fills you with courage, and His strength carries you through. 🌍 Connect with Me Email: https://www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz 🙏 Beacon of Hope Africa (BOHA): https://www.beaconofhope-africa.org 🤝 Go Missionary Network (GMN): https://www.gomissionarynetwork.org/gmn-membership 🚀 Kingdom Business Accelerator (KBA – Affiliate Link): https://increaseministries.com/joinkba-286597?am_id=angiewheeler7594 ✍️ By Angie Wheeler Sibia | Missionary in Mozambique, Teacher, and Host of Go When God Calls

You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out to Follow Jesus (Part 1)

Have you ever felt unsure of what to do after saying yes to Jesus? Maybe you’ve prayed, felt His touch on your heart, or started going back to church — but then wondered, what comes next? In this episode of Go When God Calls, I share encouragement for both new believers and seasoned Christians. From my own walk with God, I talk about how peace can be an umpire in our lives, how salvation is a free gift, and how God’s promises give us a foundation to stand on every day. Takeaway: You don’t have to have it all figured out. Salvation is a gift — and the next step is simply to trust Him, follow His peace, and build your life on His Word. 📖 Scripture Highlight: John 3:16 – God’s love given freely Romans 10:9 – Confess and believe Corinthians 5:17 – A new creation in Christ Colossians 3:15 – Peace as an umpire Philippians 4:6–7 – Peace that guards our hearts 💬 Quote: “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”                                                                 — Corrie Ten Boom 🌍 Connect with Angie: Email:angie@angiewheelersibia.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz Beacon of Hope Africa: https://www.beaconofhope-africa.org Go Missionary Network: https://www.gomissionarynetwork.org 🚀 Build Business + Kingdom Impact: If you’ve felt called to use your gifts in business while advancing God’s Kingdom, check out the Kingdom Business Accelerator (KBA). Fear of the Unknown: Just Start

Do you ever feel stuck because of fear — fear of failure, fear of what others might think, or fear of stepping into the unknown? In this episode of Go When God Calls, Angie Wheeler Sibia shares powerful encouragement and real-life stories from her journey as a missionary in Mozambique. From an encounter at Sam’s Club in Texas to hosting Hannah on her very first trip to Africa, Angie reveals what happens when we stop waiting to feel ready and simply step out in faith. Takeaway: Courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s moving forward in spite of fear, trusting that God is with you. If God is stirring your heart to start a podcast, write a book, launch a business, go on a mission trip, or simply share Jesus with your neighbor — don’t wait until you feel perfect. Just start. On this faith-based Christian encouragement podcast, I just want to remind you — God will be with you wherever you go. 📖 Scripture Highlight: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 💬 Quote: “Courage is not the absence of fear — it’s moving forward in spite of fear.” — Angie Wheeler Sibia 🌍 Connect with Angie: Email:https://www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz Beacon of Hope Africa: https://www.beaconofhope-africa.org Go Missionary Network: https://www.gomissionarynetwork.org 🚀 Build Business + Kingdom Impact: If you’ve felt called to use your gifts in business while advancing God’s Kingdom, check out the Kingdom Business Accelerator (KBA). The Shema Life

In this episode, I share something God showed me while I was teaching the boys at Beacon of Hope Africa. We were talking about obedience, but it turned into something bigger. I explained how integrity is like the center of a wagon wheel. The other traits—like kindness, trust, forgiveness, and perseverance—are the spokes. The wheel can’t roll without strong spokes, and life doesn’t move forward without strong character. We also studied the word Shema from the Bible. It means to listen and obey as one action—not just hearing something, but responding to it. I even tell a wild story I heard when I was a teenager about a woman who stood on her head in a coat closet... because God told her to. And it saved a life. What You'll Hear Me Talk About Why integrity is more than a good trait—it’s the center of everything What obedience really means in Scripture A powerful story about strange obedience that made an eternal difference How we’re teaching strong character through everyday choices How to say yes to God even when it doesn’t feel easy Bible Verses in This Episode Ephesians 6:1–3 — “Obey your parents… so it may go well with you.” 1 Samuel 15:22 — “To obey is better than sacrifice.” Joshua 1:9 — “Be strong and courageous… the Lord your God is with you.” The Hebrew word Shema — to hear and obey A Quote I Love “Obedience is the key that opens the door to blessing.”  - Unknown                                                                     Resources & Mentions • Go Missionary Network – https://www.gomissionarynetwork.org Connect with Me Email: angie@angiewheelersibia.com TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz Instagram: www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia YouTube: www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia Facebook: www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia Pinterest: www.pinterest.com/asibia67 If this episode encouraged you, I’d love it if you shared it with a friend, left a review, or connected with me online. When God Uses Your Passion — Even Whittling Wood

Show Notes: In today’s episode, I’m sharing how God can use even the simple things we love — our hobbies and passions — for His Kingdom. Whether it’s whittling wood, crocheting, or baking, God can take what’s already in our hands and use it to build something bigger for   His glory. We’ll dive into the idea of Kingdom infiltration — how God wants to show up in every part of our lives, not just in the “big” things, but in our workplaces, friendships, hobbies, and even our downtime. I’ll also share personal stories from my life in Mozambique — from whittling soap with the boys at Beacon of Hope to how my sister turned her love for baking into a ministry — showing that your mission field might be right where you are, with what you already have. We’ll talk about using what’s in your hand like Moses’ staff, building online communities through spaces like the Global Unleashed Network and the Kingdom Builders Accelerator, and how simple hobbies can be tools for discipleship. I’ll also introduce you to Video Game Ministries, an innovative way to reach teens where they already spend their time — in gaming rooms and chat spaces. Today’s encouragement is simple: your passion is not too small, your hobby is not a waste, and your mission field might just start with what’s right in front of you. ____________________________________________________________________ Key Scriptures: 📖 Exodus 4:2 — Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied. 📖 Acts 1:8 — But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Interview with Melissa Lea Hughes

In this episode, we welcome Melissa, who shares her incredible journey of faith as a missionary in Wales. From fulfilling a lifelong dream to live in the UK to facing life-altering challenges, Melissa opens up about her husband's accident shortly after their move and the struggles that followed. She reflects on how a crisis of faith led her to a profound realization that life with God is both mountain tops and valleys. Through her story, she reveals how God shaped her identity and taught her that faith isn't about a pain-free life, but about overcoming challenges with Christ. Melissa also discusses how an unexpected call to video content transformed her life. After a random TikTok post went viral with 22 million views and landed her on "The Kelly Clarkson Show", Melissa discovered a new way to spread the gospel through social media. She and Angie talk about how the modern platform of cell phones allows anyone to share their faith globally. This conversation offers inspiration on embracing challenges and using unconventional tools to fulfill God's mission. From Her Heart to Mine: How My Mom’s Faith Shaped My Calling into Missions – And Why Motherhood is Your Greatest Mission Field

Show Notes: In today’s heartfelt episode, I interviewed my mom to discuss how her faith and guidance shaped my calling into missions. From the very beginning, she was the one who taught me about Jesus and laid the foundation for everything I now teach my children and the youth in our ministry. Together, we explore the deep role of motherhood as a mission field, the challenges of releasing a child into God's calling, and how grandmotherhood has expanded her heart for the youth we serve in Africa. Key Topics Discussed: Motherhood as a Divine Calling: My mom shares how, over the years, she discovered that motherhood itself is a calling—one that shaped her faith and influenced her role in God’s mission. Raising me and my siblings in the faith was not just about nurturing but about shaping disciples who would carry the torch of God’s love into the world. Releasing a Child to the Mission Field: We dive into the emotional journey of releasing me to follow God’s call into missions. My mom talks about the faith she had to have in God’s plan and how she trusted Him with my future, despite the personal and emotional challenges that came with it. Grandmotherhood Impact on Ministry: As a grandmother, my mom now has the opportunity to see her grandchildren and the youth we mentor step into their own faith journeys. She reflects on how grandmotherhood has deepened her heart for ministry and helped her see the fruit of her labor in the next generation. Her Visit to Africa and the Transformative Experience: My mom shares her experience visiting me in Africa, and how it completely changed her perspective on ministry, culture, and the global church. She talks about the emotional challenges she faced, but also how that trip deepened her commitment to prayer and support for the mission. Takeaways: Motherhood is a divine calling, and it is foundational to fulfilling the Great Commission. Parenting is part of God’s bigger plan—and we are called to raise children who will follow His will. Grandmotherhood expands our hearts and perspectives for the next generation of disciples. Experiencing ministry firsthand can transform our hearts and deepen our commitment to God’s work. Resources Mentioned in This Episode: Proverbs 22:6 – “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” 2 Timothy 1:5 – “I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.” _______________________________________________________________________ 👉 Join us here: www.gomissionarynetwork.org 👉 Join our Membership: https://go-missionary-network.mn.co/ 🎧 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this episode with someone who needs the reminder that God still protects, prayer still works, and Jesus is always near. What Easter Really Means – Hope, Forgiveness & Victory

Episode Description: This Easter week, I’m sharing what I taught our boys here at Beacon of Hope Africa about Holy Week—from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday. We talk about how Jesus didn’t come just to fix our problems but to save our hearts, how He chose forgiveness even in pain, and what it means that the curtain in the temple was torn. This episode walks through the timeline of Holy Week, the power of the cross, and the hope we have because Jesus rose again. We also reflect on the Lord’s Supper, the silence of Saturday, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Most of all, I pray this reminds you that Jesus’ sacrifice made a way for you to have direct relationship with God—and His resurrection gives us victory and hope, no matter what we face. 📖 Scriptures Read in This Episode: Matthew 21:9 – “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” John 13:14–15 – “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” Luke 22:42 – “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 23:34 – “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Matthew 27:51 – “At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split.” 1 Peter 1:3 – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” John 14:16–17 – “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.” Until next time, remember—He is risen, and because He lives, we have hope. 💛Thanks for listening, and I’ll see you next week on Go When God Calls. 🎧 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this episode with someone who needs the reminder that God still protects, prayer still works, and Jesus is always near. God Sees You – Even in the Little Things

Welcome to another episode of Go When God Calls. Today’s episode is about how God sees you in the little things—the small cravings, quiet needs, and even the struggles that nobody else sees. Whether you’re serving on the mission field, at home, or just going through daily life, we often feel that God only notices the big moments, the grand gestures. But it’s often in the small, seemingly insignificant moments where God shows up. Today, we’ll talk about how God sees and cares for us, even when we feel invisible or like we’re struggling in the day-to-day. I’ll share some personal stories where God showed up in small moments—whether it was a comment from my director that reminded me I’m seen, or the blessing of M&Ms that spoke to someone’s heart, or a homemade meal I made with almost nothing that turned out to be more than enough. These little things show us that God is in the details—He cares about it all, and He sees us, even when we think we’re not being noticed. Key Scriptures: James 1:17 (NIV) – "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) – "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." What I’ve Been Thinking: As Christians, especially those of us in ministry or missions, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we must constantly give and serve, without considering our own needs. But here’s the truth: God wants us to take care of ourselves too. It’s not selfish to rest or find small comforts that help us keep going. In fact, it’s necessary to avoid burning out. God cares about our well-being, just as much as He cares about our service. Taking time to refresh doesn’t mean we’re neglecting our calling—it means we’re able to serve better, with the strength and joy that He gives us. Key Takeaways: God sees you in the big moments, but He also sees you in the little things—like when you're exhausted or feel like you're giving everything without receiving anything back. It's okay to want comfort, even when there’s so much need around you. God cares about it all—your cravings, your needs, your struggles. God’s provision doesn’t always come in the big, flashy ways. Sometimes it’s the small blessings that show us God is there, taking care of us. God sees you—even when you feel invisible. You are not forgotten. Want to Connect? Protected When I Didn’t See It Coming

Sometimes the hardest things hit us without warning. A few weeks ago, I was home alone, and I had a fall that could’ve ended in tragedy. I passed out and woke up in a puddle of water—just inches from an extension cord. It could have gone very differently. But it didn’t. “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16 In this episode, I share the story of what happened, how God protected me, and how the power of prayer may have saved my life. I truly believe that the faithful prayers of others—my mom, my supporters, and my friends, were surrounding me before I even knew I was in danger. Not every hard thing we face is an attack from the enemy. Sometimes, it’s just life. We live in a broken world where things go wrong. But even when it’s not spiritual warfare, God is still present—and prayer still changes things. “Pray without ceasing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:17 If you’ve ever wondered whether your prayers really matter… this episode will encourage you to keep praying, keep trusting, and keep believing that God is working behind the scenes, even when we don’t see it. When Obedience is Hard!

Obedience isn’t always easy, it often means stepping into the unknown, waiting longer than we want, or letting go of something we love without knowing what comes next. In this episode, I share a personal story of how God spoke to me about a transition I didn’t understand at the time, but later, I could see His perfect plan unfolding. Trusting God’s voice, even when it doesn’t make sense, is one of the hardest yet most rewarding parts of our faith journey. "To obey is better than sacrifice." – 1 Samuel 15:22 I’ve been thinking a lot about how obedience isn’t just about saying yes—it’s about trusting that God’s plan is better than our own. Sometimes, He calls us to wait, sometimes to step forward, but always to trust. If you’ve ever struggled with obedience, this episode is for you. We’ll dive into Scripture, talk about the real challenge of trusting God, and explore practical ways to walk in obedience, even when it’s hard. Scriptures in This Episode: 1 Samuel 15:22 – "To obey is better than sacrifice." John 14:15 – "If you love me, keep my commandments." Genesis 12:1-4 – The story of Abraham stepping out in faith without knowing the full plan. Philippians 2:8 – "He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!" What to Do When Obedience is Hard: Acknowledge the struggle—be honest with God about your fears. Ask for His help—you don’t have to do it alone. Take the next step—you don’t need the whole picture, just one step. Remember His faithfulness—He has led you before, and He will lead you again. Find encouragement—surround yourself with people who will remind you of His goodness. Obedience may be hard, but it is always worth it. There is peace in knowing you are walking in God’s will, and there is purpose in every step, even when you don’t see it yet. Join Us for the Go Missionary Network Webinar! Missions Then and Now

Missions has changed a lot over the years, but the heart of it remains the same - saying yes to God no matter the cost. In this episode, I talk about how missionaries in the past faced extreme challenges, from long and uncertain travel to waiting months for letters or financial support. Today, we have amazing tools like WhatsApp, social media, and online banking that make mission work easier, but challenges still exist. Whether you're just curious about missions, supporting missionaries, or serving on the field, I hope this episode encourages you. Scripture References: Luke 9:23 – "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." Matthew 28:19 – "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." 1 Corinthians 9:22 – "I have become all things to all people that by all possible means I might save some." Philippians 4:19 – "And my God will meet all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Key Quotes from This Episode: "Missions has always been about following God, no matter the cost." "Missionaries in the past faced long journeys and complete isolation, relying fully on God’s provision." "Social media isn’t just about posting—it’s about building relationships and inviting people to walk the journey with you." "The mission hasn’t changed, but the tools we have today make it possible to reach more people in new ways." Tools Mentioned: WhatsApp – Stay connected with family and ministry partners. Western Union / WorldRemit – Helps with sending and receiving funds. Canva – Great for creating social media posts, newsletters, and ministry graphics. Excel – A helpful tool for organizing finances, reports, and budgets. Epistle.com – A private social platform for keeping ministry partners updated. Missionaries Mentioned: Hudson Taylor – Trusted God completely and immersed himself in Chinese culture. Amy Carmichael – Served in India for 55 years without a furlough. Jim Elliot – Sacrificed his life to bring the gospel to the people of Ecuador. William Carey – Known as the father of modern missions. I've Been Thinking About: How Paul would have used social media if he had it. How modern technology is helping missionaries stay connected while still facing challenges. 👉 Learn more about the Go Missionary Network:www.gomissionarynetwork.org Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share! The Ripple Effect of Saying Yes

Have you ever wondered if one small act of obedience could make a difference? In this episode, I share how saying yes to God, even in the smallest way, can create ripples that touch lives, transform communities, and impact generations. I’ll talk about the challenges of stepping out in faith, share a story about how one young man’s life was changed through obedience, and offer three practical steps you can take this week to say yes to God. We’ll also reflect on how God doesn’t ask for perfection—He asks for faith. Whether you’re called to serve in your family, your community, or in missions, your yes matters.   Scriptures Mentioned: Isaiah 6:8 "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'" Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Luke 9:23-24 "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it." 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."   3 Practical Steps to Say Yes: Pray for Clarity: Spend time asking God where He is calling you to say yes—whether in your family, community, or missions. Take One Small Step: Your yes doesn’t have to be big. Start with a small act of faith, like reaching out to someone in need, giving to a cause, or committing to pray. Trust the Process: Remember, your yes is part of God’s bigger plan. Trust that He will guide and equip you every step of the way.   I’ve Been Thinking… Sometimes we overanalyze God’s call, waiting for the perfect moment or plan. But the greatest act of faith is often just taking the first step. Your yes doesn’t have to be big—it just has to be willing. God will guide you and provide everything you need as you trust Him.   Famous Quote: "God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply." – Hudson Taylor   Email: gowhengodcalls@gomissionarynetwork.org    Missionary Essentials: www.missionaryessentials.com   Social Media:  Angie Wheeler Sibia TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz Instagram: www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia YouTube: www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia X (Twitter): https://x.com/SibiaAngie Facebook: www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia  Pinterest: www.pinterest.com/asibia67

Stepping Out in Faith: 24 Years of God's Faithfulness

Welcome back to another episode of Go When God Calls! Today’s episode is close to my heart as I celebrate 24 years of God’s faithfulness here in Mozambique, Africa. When I stepped off the plane on December 15, 2000, I thought I was saying yes to just one year. Little did I know what God had planned. This isn’t just my story; it’s a story of stepping out in faith and trusting God with the unknown. Whether you feel called to serve in your church, love your neighbors, or go to another country, this episode is for you. God’s plans are bigger than we can imagine, and when you say “yes,” He will equip you every step of the way. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed or unsure when God calls you to do something, I’ve been there, too. But here’s what I’ve learned: God doesn’t call the equipped; He equips those who say yes. From driving a Land Rover in Africa for the first time to trusting God for provision, I’ve seen Him show up time and time again. And if you’re feeling tired or like your efforts don’t matter, remember this: God is at work behind the scenes, and your faithfulness today impacts generations to come. Don’t give up—your yes matters.   Scriptures Shared: 1 Corinthians 3:6 – "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow." Jeremiah 29:11 – "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Galatians 6:9 – "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap the harvest if we do not give up." What I’ve Been Thinking About: "Missions is not a solo journey. Those who go and those who give are partners in completing God’s mission. Your role matters—whether you’re stepping out in faith or supporting others who do."   Quote to Remember: “God doesn’t call the equipped; He equips those who say yes.”   Missions-Minded Media Course Are you a missionary, ministry leader, or someone who wants to use social media to share your mission and connect with others? Suddenly God – A Life-Changing Encounter

Welcome to Go When God Calls! In today’s episode, I talk about those sudden, powerful moments when God moves and changes everything. These encounters don’t come from our striving but from His grace and perfect timing. I share stories from the Bible about how God shows up unexpectedly to bring transformation. Whether it’s Moses at the burning bush or the Holy Spirit coming at Pentecost, these moments remind us that God is always working, even when we don’t see it. I’ve been praying for this kind of encounter—for my family, the teenage boys I work with in Mozambique, and this nation. Revival begins with God’s presence and timing, not our efforts. I encourage you to pray for a fresh encounter with God, one that changes your life and strengthens your faith. Let’s trust His timing and believe that He is working for our good. If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who may need to hear about God’s faithfulness. Join me next week for another episode of Go When God Calls!   Scriptures Mentioned: Isaiah 43:19 – "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" Acts 2:2 – "Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting." Exodus 3:5-6 – "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." Genesis 32:28 – "Then the man said, 'Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.'" Acts 9:3-6 – "As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?' 'Who are you, Lord?' Saul asked. 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,' he replied. 'Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.'"   Email: gowhengodcalls@gomissionarynetwork.org    Missionary Essentials: www.missionaryessentials.com   Social Media:  Angie Wheeler Sibia TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz Instagram: www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia YouTube: www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia Facebook: www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia

Paul's Legacy – Letters of Faith and Lasting Impact

In this final episode on Saul's transformation into Paul, we reflect on the powerful legacy he left. Through letters like Romans and Philippians and the relationships he nurtured, Paul shows us that our actions today can ripple into future generations. His example reminds us to use the tools at our disposal—whether letters or social media—to share the gospel and invest in others. Legacy isn’t about achievements but the lives we touch. Like Paul, we can plant seeds of faith that grow far beyond what we see. This week, reflect on how you can use your words, actions, and resources to build God’s kingdom. Pray for opportunities to encourage others and make an eternal impact by sharing God’s love. Here's What I’ve Been Thinking Our legacy isn’t about what we achieve—it’s about the lives we touch and the seeds of faith we plant. Like Paul, we can use our words, actions, and resources to leave a lasting impact for God’s kingdom. Whether it’s encouraging someone in their faith, mentoring a young believer, or partnering with a missionary, our efforts can ripple far beyond what we see. This week, take a moment to reflect: How can you use what God has given you to build His kingdom? Pray for opportunities to encourage others or support someone on their journey. Remember, the eternal impact of our actions today is immeasurable. Let’s make the most of every opportunity to share God’s love with the world. Highlighted Scriptures: Philippians 4:13 – "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." Philippians 1:3-5 – Paul's gratitude for gospel partnerships. 2 Corinthians 9:7 – The joy of cheerful giving. Philippians 4:17 – A reminder of the eternal rewards of generosity. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 – "I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith." ________________________________________________________________________ Email: gowhengodcalls@gomissionarynetwork.org  Missionary Essentials: www.missionaryessentials.com Social Media:  Angie Wheeler Sibia TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz Instagram: www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia YouTube: www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia Facebook: www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia

From Persecutor to Persecuted, Paul's Trials and Perseverance

In this fourth episode of our series on Saul's transformation into Paul, I dive into his missionary journey, exploring the challenges he faced and the incredible perseverance that kept him going. From beatings and imprisonments to shipwrecks and hunger, Paul never wavered in his mission to share the gospel. I also reflect on the significance of his name change from Saul to Paul and how it symbolizes his adaptability and commitment to meeting people where they were. Whether as a tentmaker or supported by partners like the Philippian church, Paul's approach reminds us that mission work is a team effort, built on partnership, faith, and hard work. As we think about Paul's ability to adapt, I challenge you to consider how God may be calling you to be part of His mission—whether by going, giving, or praying. This week, pray for missionaries worldwide and think about how you can partner in their journey. Don’t forget to check out Missionary Essentials, a storefront site I created to share helpful items for missionaries just getting started or already on the field. If you're interested in learning how to use modern tools like social media for ministry, stay tuned for details on my January course, Missions Minded Media—it’s going to be a game-changer! Scripture Mentioned: 1 Corinthians 9:22-23 "I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings." What I've Been Thinking: "Mission work is a team effort. Whether we go, give, or pray, we're part of God's mission to reach the world. Like Paul, we can adapt and use every opportunity to share His love. Saul Begins His New Journey

Today, I shared about Saul’s incredible transformation after his sight was restored. His first steps as a new believer were marked by baptism, a powerful commitment to follow Jesus publicly, even though he had once opposed Him. Without hesitation, he began sharing the gospel, boldly proclaiming that Jesus is the Son of God. Saul’s story reminds me that with God, anyone can start fresh, no matter their past. It’s a powerful example of how we, too, can embrace new beginnings and live out God’s purpose for our lives. Reflecting on Saul’s journey brought up memories of my own challenges in Mozambique, especially during a season when I felt immense pressure to leave. At that time, God reminded me of the work that was still needed and gave me the strength to stay. Sometimes, when we step into the new things God calls us to, it’s not easy—there are doubts, and it takes courage to trust in His timing. Saul’s journey—and mine—both show how, when God calls us, He gives us what we need to keep moving forward, even through the hardest times.   Email: support@gomissionarynetwork.org     Social Media:  Angie Wheeler Sibia TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz Instagram: www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia YouTube: www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia Facebook: www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia

Ananias’ Obedience and God’s Call

Welcome back to our five-part series! Today, we’re diving into Episode 2, "Ananias: Obedience and God’s Call." Last time, we explored Saul’s life-changing encounter with God, and now we’ll look at Ananias—a regular man who was asked to do something brave and surprising. Even though Ananias was scared to approach Saul because of Saul's reputation, he still chose to trust and obey God. Through this story, we’re reminded that God knows us deeply, has chosen us, and has a plan for each of us, just like He had for Saul. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart...and He will direct your paths.” Just as Ananias trusted and obeyed despite his fears, we, too, are called to step out in faith—even when it feels uncomfortable. This week, I encourage you to ask God for the courage to follow His lead. God sees the bigger picture and can use anyone, including you, to fulfill His purpose. Thanks for joining, and I can’t wait to continue our journey next week. The Encounter on the Road to Damascus

Welcome to Go When God Calls. In today’s episode, “The Encounter on the Road to Damascus,” I talk about Saul’s incredible experience with Jesus that changed everything for him. I’ll be sharing what I’ve been learning about Paul’s journey—from someone who persecuted Christians to becoming a missionary who shared the gospel courageously. His story reminds us that no one is out of God’s reach Saul’s journey on the road to Damascus shows how God can bring His light to even the darkest places. God used temporary blindness to help Saul see the truth about Jesus for the first time. And just like that, sometimes we need God to intervene, opening our eyes to His path for us. This episode is the first in a five-part series about Saul’s transformation into Paul. Each week, we’ll discover more about his journey and how it encourages us today. Join me as we learn together how God’s light leads us, no matter where we are.   Email: support@gomissionarynetwork.org     Social Media:  Angie Wheeler Sibia TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@angiemoz Instagram: www.instagram.com/angiewheelersibia YouTube: www.youtube.com/@AngieSibia Facebook: www.facebook.com/AngieWheelerSibia
