We are joined by Trent Anderson in this episode of GoVertical. Trent has the unique position of helping run the family business that his dad founded while also starting a new roofing business. We are joined by Adam Christenson this week on GoVertical. Adam is a commercial roofing contractor and shared with about the storm and resulting roof leak that he thought was going to end his business. He also tells us how he handled the situation and took all responsibility. His response was able to take a really bad situation and turn it into some positive growths in his business. This is a great conversation on how to handle the storms that pop up in life and how to find growth even in the dark times.

We were thrilled to be joined by Brandon Keithley this week. Brandon's technical title is executive admin for Charles Herbster and the Conklin Company but he does so much more than that. As we spoke with him he was working on harvesting about 3,000 acres of crops in Nebraska and so we talk about the season of life, knowing when and how to harvest, and also planning ahead for the upcoming seasons in advance. Brandon also talks about valuing your team and letting everyone do their part so that the whole organization can be successful.

We are joined this week by Kyle Swanson. Kyle was a navigator in the Air Force for 12 years and served a total of 6 tours in Afghanistan between military deployments and also later as a civilian contractor. He has now transitioned into running a roofing business in Kansas City. We have a great conversation about faith and the power of prayer. We are joined this week by Jake Dugan. He has been on a wild ride for the past few years. He and his wife had 6 kids in the first four years of their marriage. His wife nearly died giving birth to their youngest child on the day they were supposed to close on their new home, and several months later their daughter was again in the hospital with a very rare case of meningitis and is lucky to be alive. Despite everything they've gone through, they have an incredible joy and positivity about life that is inspiring. We just had to have Chris Kauffman back on as there was so much more about his story we had to hear about. In this episode, he shares about the abuse, bullying, and trauma he went through as a child growing up Amish. These experiences had an impact on his life for years even after they left the Amish community. Chris then shares how he recognized the impact the past traumas were having on his life and the process it took to overcome them and finally be able to see value in himself. This is an incredibly powerful story of redemption, forgiveness, and overcoming the past and discovering the ability to believe in yourself. It's a little longer than usual but is worth every second of listening.
