Jessica Limpert and Ramon Medeiros transformed their bodies and lives on NBC’s The Biggest Loser.” And they kept the weight off while they worked as celebrity trainers at the “Biggest Loser” resorts for a few years.
But as time passed the now-married couple gradually regained the weight as they tried coping with complicated emotions they still had about their bodies. So, when they were asked to appear on their 2nd reality show “The Big Fat Truth” Jessica and Ramon were all in, and very successful. Then their post-show roller coaster ride started again with Jessica getting to 358 LBS and Ramon 385 LBS.
Having been thru two reality shows, too many diets and exercise plans to mention, they considered weight loss surgery but felt unsure. Like others, they thought surgery was “the easy way out.”
“Once I educated myself and I realized that it doesn’t matter how much knowledge I have. It doesn’t matter how much motivation I can gather every day. I need more,” Limpert said. “I needed a tool that can help.”
So they took the leap in January 2021 undergoing vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) and not only have they settled into a weight they can live with, a major change that has come from their journey is a whole new mindset and sustainable lifestyle.
And the best part of their story is they’re soon to be parents.
Topping the scales at 534lbs, Dusty struggled with obesity for over 30 years until he found a way to start taking actions daily which eventually led to him lose over 300lbs. That’s a great story, but the best story is that he’s maintained his weight loss for over six years, with strength training becoming his secret sauce. And now the strongest part of his body is probably his brain, as he’s created a whole new mindset of “ways + weighs” to always FIND A WAY to overcome life’s obstacles.
Always positive and purposeful, Dusty will inspire, motivate, educate, and support you to FIND “YOUR” WAY every day!

Like it or not, most of our shape, size, and weight (+ or -) stories are more often about “what’s eating us” than what we’re eating, exercising, or not. Which is why I recently did a very deep dive into the work of someone who’s been very transformational for me on my well “being” journey.
I’ve found that understanding what’s in our head, and especially what’s driving our actions from our subconscious is 99.9% of where we need to
focus our energies if we’re wanting to make any significant and sustainable change in our shape, size, and weight (body composition).
So, I hope you find some time to WATCH, LISTEN, or READ what I’m sharing.
And if you do, I have a strong feeling that you’ll get some new and very empowering “ways and weighs” to make some major changes for your well “being” journey too.
It’s no secret that for years… each and every day, millions of people of all shapes, sizes, genders, and ages reluctantly step on a common bathroom scale. Fingers crossed that whatever they’ve done, or haven’t done from yesterday, the weekend, or even the week before tips their scale to their favor.
And no surprise eventually the “Tale Of Their Scale” derails their best efforts to reach an almost always elusive goal. And even if they reach their goal, studies show that 98% of the people that do will most likely, eventually gain back all that they lost, and unfortunately even more from where they started.
There is another “way and weigh” and that’s what I call “Going Beyond The Scale.”

Millions of people who want to lose weight are mentally living and dying by what they see every morning on their bathroom scales.
Learn how an NBC Biggest Loser Final 4 contestant has successfully maintained his weight loss over ten years later. And how best to actually know if you’re losing fat, gaining muscle, and not just losing some temporary water weight.

How long did you put into working out this week? Anywhere from 90 to 180 minutes so that 2 minutes of you feeling like getting on that scale has diminished all of that hard work that you're putting out just because you want this number that you're not seeing.
Jay's guest Elaine Hartrick shares her transformation which lead to her becoming the General Manager of Movara Fitness Resort.

Believe it or not, Budget POSITIVITY is a passion project several years in the making. When I first started this work I had no idea how it would impact my life and outlook on money. Very quickly I learned how to create & live on a budget, chip away at my debt ($53,000 - Yes, that much!) all while I pursued my goals of moving to NYC.
•
All this was made possible by first taking responsibility for the hole I found myself in, my determination to turn my situation around and most importantly 2 very special people, my money mentors (Kelly + James).
•
Armed with this new knowledge of managing my money and confidence in my owning decision making abilities, I set out to help others and created a workshop to help other’s learn how to transform their outlook on their finances.
•
Enter @budgetpositivity - a budgeting workshop to empower people to live responsibly and without financial worry!

Jay was a guest on Liz Josefsberg's Webinar on April 24, 2020 discussing how to keep motivation high, even in crisis and how you even find the motivation to start. How do you get over that voice that says "Why should this time be any different?" They discuss some of the misconceptions about the weight loss industry as well as looking at what weight loss management looks like.

On this episode of Going Beyond the Scale Jay interviews Kristi McCart. In the pre interview with Kristi, she nailed ONE OF THE MOST UNKNOWN ISSUES that’s rarely talked about that most of the The Biggest Loser alumni face POST FINALE... And it’s also a VERY BIG ISSUE almost everyone faces with their friends + family when they decide to change their Well “Being” no matter what #eating #moving or #exercise plan they may be living into... TRUST ME... YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS EPISODE!!!
