"What's the one story you remember from your childhood?" I asked a room full of IT professionals. "Emperor's New Clothes" was the story that I heard in my first corporate workshop. "Does the story speak to you today?" I asked. "More than it did in my childhood," came the reply. This was in 2014. Since then, Emperor's New Clothes has been in my story bag, amongst the few fairy tales that I tell. This is a valuable story in every audience. Go ahead and enjoy this one! *****𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙥𝙤: 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘼𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚, 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢, 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢. I read this story a few weeks back, just around the time when we were flooded with news of massive layoffs. It's curious how stories speak to me. I found this story and I had been itching to share it in some form.So here we are, with Chelm Justice - A Jewish Folktale as Season 2, Episode 1 of Golpo: Stories from Around the WorldChelm is a fictional city in traditional Jewish stories where people are known for their stupidity. Like with other legends, there are string of 'Stupidity Tales'! I find these an excellent contrast to Wisdom Tales. So while we share wisdom tales, sharing Tales of Stupidity is equally important.Listen to the story and share it with someone. Talk about the many stupidities that we have gathered in our lives. I'd really love it if the story triggers thoughts, memories and conversations.***𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙥𝙤: 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘼𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚, 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢, 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢. The Fox & The Tiger is rare Chines Fable. It's a classic trickster tale that has several story twins across cultures, including a very popular children's book by Julia Donaldson.I find this story deeply intriguing as I am quite puzzled by the tiger and his sense of his own ferocity. Just the kind of story that I want to consider on International Tiger Day.
