Hey Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox slipped out of first place in the AL Central but currently hold a wild card spot as the last week of baseball kicks off. Maddening loses to Cleveland and Detroit stain an otherwise positive week. Burke and Martin have looked much better while Hagen Smith continues to provide confidence within a very taxed bullpen. The Sox finish up with the Royals and Rockies and there will be a lot of scoreboard watching as Cleveland heads to Boston. Will this be the last week of baseball for the Sox? Hey Sox fans! Well, it's been a rotten no-good kind of week for our White Sox but a big Game 1 win in Cleveland has sweeten things for the moment. The Sox hold the tiebreaker with Cleveland and have a 1.5 game lead in the division. Lots of work still to go for the White Sox. Burke and Smith were masterful off the mound and a gritty 18 pitch at bat from Tristan Peters sparked the offense. No rest as the Sox bounce right back with another in Cleveland. Hey Sox fans! Lots of emotions this past week. Horrible execution in Houston, although it was nice to see Davis Martin have a solid start. What was Peters doing? Despite some disappointing production with runners in scoring position, the Sox won a series against the Twins with an exclamation mark in the finale. Colson Montgomery, Munetaka Murakami and Miguel Vargas each have 30 home runs and Kyle Teel has rejoined the team. New renderings have surfaced of what the future Sox ballpark could like look three miles North of their current location. Where are the pinwheels? Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Our Chicago White Sox won a pair of series and are eight games over .500 and have a Magic Number of 23 to win the AL Central. What a difference a year makes. Sox are making history right now as we slide in September but some of our usual suspects are rather quite. Mune, Antonacci and Meidroth remain silent while Peters, Benitendi and the bullpen have created the spark. Wins are wins and the Sox need to just keep at it. Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The Sox are exactly who they have been telling us they are. They will break your hearts then cause you to believe in October baseball. Up and down will continue to happen but, hey, it's better than another 100 loss season. With 32 games left on the schedule, the Sox have a magic number 29. Guys like Peters, Kay, Grichuk and Mune have made Getz look pretty good yet acquisitions of Castillo, Bart, Doyle and Brazoban have not had nearly that same effect. Keep wining the series.
