Mike Fox of the Cato Institute joins Josh to discuss the trial of Kilmer Abrego Garcia and how the Trump administration's attempted use of a plea bargain—and Garcia's refusal to accept it—has put not only the administration's mistake in his case but also the entire plea bargaining process in the spotlight. Using the Garcia case as one example, Josh and Mike explore how prosecutors wield plea bargains. They examine the manipulative and heavy-handed tactics that convince the majority of defendants to surrender their right to a trial by a jury of their peers.   Mike's article in Reason: https://reason.com/2025/10/09/whats-really-at-stake-in-the-kilmar-abrego-garcia-case/   Follow Mike's work at the Cato Institute, and on X: https://www.cato.org/people/mike-fox https://x.com/foxmike90?s=21&t=S8JoQpY3m4n6bFrTo8tLrg   🚨Prolon is offering listeners 15% off sitewide plus a $40 bonus gift when you subscribe to their 5-Day Program!  Just visit https://ProlonLife.com/GML   🔗[ALL LINKS]:  https://gml.bio.link   📼 [YouTube] :https://bit.ly/3UwsRiv   🗽[Fed Haters Club]: https://www.goodmorningliberty.us/fedhatersclub   ⏳[Martens Minute]: https://martensminute.podbean.com/

Once again, everyone is looking for a reason other than the cold hard truth. Social Security operates like a ponzi-scheme. Ponzi-schemes fall apart when withdrawals exceed collections. Since 2021, the payouts have exceeded collections. The worker-retiree ratio has fallen from 5:1 in the 1960 to 2.8:1 today, and is expected to be 2.3:1 in 2033. Life expectancy has increased, as well as the payouts per retiree.    The SS trust fund will be depleted by 2033. At that point with no changes in law, only 77% of benefits will be paid out, decreasing to 69% over time. This means to keep this terrible program running and paying out 100% of benefits, things will have to change. Either higher taxes, higher retirement age, or a new $500 billion in borrowing every year, and increasing every year.    Ideas like cutting out rich people or increasing the maximum threshold buy the program another 5-10 years.    We will not come to a sensible solution on SS until voters accept that the money you paid in is gone, but not because the Trust Fund was "raided;" and the shortfall is not because millions of illegals are collecting your social security.   🚨Prolon is offering listeners 15% off sitewide plus a $40 bonus gift when you subscribe to their 5-Day Program!  Just visit https://ProlonLife.com/GML   🔗[ALL LINKS]:  https://gml.bio.link   📼 [YouTube] :https://bit.ly/3UwsRiv   🗽[Fed Haters Club]: https://www.goodmorningliberty.us/fedhatersclub   ⏳[Martens Minute]: https://martensminute.podbean.com/

Carrie and Brady Timms are the parents of a child with a rare medical condition, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), that the state misdiagnosed as child abuse. For three years, Carrie researched her son's condition to uncover the truth—all while the state ignored crucial evidence that would have revealed it. Instead of following the evidence, authorities removed the Timms' son from their care and put the parents on trial for abuse that never occurred. For years, the Timms felt utterly alone, with nowhere to turn as they fought the state. They had proof of their innocence, but no one would listen. Then they found You Are The Power, and everything began to change. The organization stood beside them, providing unwavering support throughout the trial.
