On this 41st episode of Good Timin’, we discuss The Beach Boys’ Christmas Album from 1964. Along with covering the album’s general history and background, we also discuss each of the individual tracks on the record and share our own personal thoughts and opinions on them. Following this, we talk about some additional Beach Boys related Christmas songs, (including Child of Winter and some of the rejected Merry Christmas from the Beach Boys material) and then close out the episode with our own Christmas song draft, where we as a group select 15 holiday songs (from any band or artist) to make up our own fantasy Christmas compilation.

On this 40th episode of Good Timin', we discuss two of the Beach Boys most notable live albums, Beach Boys Concert from 1964 and The Beach Boys In Concert from 1973. Along with covering the general history and background behind both albums, we also discuss each of the individual tracks on the records and share our own personal thoughts and opinions on them. Along with covering Bruce's songwriting and vocal contributions to the group, we also talk about Bruce's long and accomplished career in the music industry as a songwriter, producer and performer.

On this 28th episode of Good Timin', author and Beach Boys historian Jim Murphy joins us to discuss the band's early years when they were just starting out as a group and beginning to record music together. We also cover some of the band's early demos and recordings from the Hite and Dorinda Morgan sessions, as well as some of Brian's early collaborations with Gary Usher.

We cover the history and background of the album, give a track by track rundown of the record and share our thoughts and opinions on each song, and also talk about some of the outtakes and extra material the band recorded around the time. In addition, songwriter and Beach Boys collaborator Geoffrey Cushing-Murray tells us the stories behind each of the four songs he cowrote with Carl and Dennis on the album.
