A Message of Love from a Black Muslim American Veteran Dad. I appreciate you fellow humans. Your podcast has been a direct good in so many ways. It gives me hope to know I am not the only GoodBadMuslim in the world. In life we all waver and struggle and that comes with particular challenges when you are the world's boogeyman. I happen to sit in a lot of intersections of oppression that create fear for others. As a Black Muslim Man there are literally libraries of fears about meeting someone "like me" in a "dark alley". In my life I challenge that by being ridiculously extra masculine with openly feminine joy. It's complicated but I am a combat Marine who cries at the Family Stone and a Muslim man who took my wife's last name when we married. I challenge patriarchy when and where I can. The shame in the world is the most shame people have tried to push my way has been in this respect. I think that shame is gendered in such a way that it can and is wielded to abuse men and women diffe

Smart, funny, and informative. I started listening relatively recently and--catching up on the back-episodes, since they're monthly--had a realization that I was basically listening to a real-time horrordocumentary of them as the election approached, passed, and the results sunk in. Screaming "don't go into that basement!" doesn't help when it's actual history. I don't know if it made me value them more but I value them a helluva lot.

First time listener, last time listener! You probably should say #Ad when you're promoting JetBlue and trashing another airline...
