Once we are introduced to him, we spend the rest of our lives becoming a disciple of Jesus. This year’s sermon series is comprised of several steps to facilitate the discipleship process. Each month or season a different step is introduced, and each Sunday the focus will be a key Christian belief to THINK about, an ACTion to do, a way to BE, something to EXPERIENCE or a suggestion of how to SERVE God. SEPTEMBER—BECOME A DISCIPLE TODAY—ACT: Believe in Jesus 30 Then he brought them outside and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:31-32
TODAY we welcome to the pulpit Dr. Antipas Harris. Dr. Harris is a professor in the School of Divinity at Regent University. There he leads and teaches students in the area of practical theology and urban ministry. Dr. Harris also serves as theologian in residence at First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, where he coordinates weekly adult discipleship classes and initiates ongoing connections between the community, city and other churches. He is married to his wife Micah, Assistant Principle in the Virginia Beach School System.
