We are passionate gardeners, bringing you our take on what is happening seasonally in your garden and around Canterbury. We are excited to explore the future of gardening by interviewing lots of different people engaged in various horticultural activities.

This month we review the second of Niva & Yotam Kay's books, 'The Abundant Kitchen', along with taking a look at the 'Bonsai Beginners Bible' by Peter Chan
Join us as we visit Aaron Curtis at Shiro Bonsai (which is also the site of Kusamono Cafe). We chat about the basics of bonsai, and how to get started with this centuries old art form.
This month we review 'Resilient Garden: Sustainable gardening for a changing climate' by Tom Massey, followed by a look at 'The Joy of Gardening' by one of New Zealand's favourite gardeners, Lynda Hallinan.
Join us as we chat to local environmentalist and Eco-champion, Dave Bryce. With an incredible property up in Redcliffs, Dave has a wealth of experience to draw on when it comes to creating a truly diverse and sustainable garden.
This month we interview Matt Morris about his newly published book, 'Bob Crowder: NZ's organic gardening pioneer', and then we take a look at Niva & Yotam Kay's fabulous permaculture book 'The Abundant Garden'.
Interviewing Whānau Whanake who support over 100 households in the community by offering Garden to Plate services, boasting 20 vegetables and 4 tunnel houses. They've distributed nearly 750 seedlings, and continue to work hard to support families!
This month we review a couple of excellent New Zealand books. 'Fungi of Aotearoa New Zealand: A Curious Forager's Field Guide' by Liv Sisson, followed by 'Foraging New Zealand' by Peter Langlands
