INEVITABLE AI Paradox

INEVITABLE AI Paradox

2023-04-1836:19

AI is the emulation of human-like decision making. Exploring the Advancements, Ethics, and Implications of AI: From Large Language Models to Perfect Data Models. In this episode, I had an enlightening conversation with Ben from Inevitable, where we discussed the advancements in AI over the past five to ten years, particularly focusing on large language models like GPT. We explored the ethical approach to AI development by not buying or selling data and the importance of understanding the implications of AI in our daily lives. We dove into the classification of AI, examining strong AI and its ability to match or surpass human abilities in various areas. We also discussed AI's ability to cooperate and collaborate in adversarial environments, such as the hide and seek game created by OpenAI. We touched on the potential origins of strong general artificial intelligence and its possible creation by a small, unknown team rather than a large enterprise. Additionally, we explored the differences between synthetic data and generated data, shedding light on the safety concerns around synthetic data and its potential misuse. Finally, we delved into the concept of creating a perfect model of data through understanding every aspect of correlations, discussing the implications of running such a model in reverse to obtain the same input data. Join me in this fascinating episode as we explore the world of AI and its growing relevance in our lives. Chapters: (0:00:00) - AI Land Grab Ethics (0:12:54) - Exploring AI Collaboration and Cooperation (0:24:31) - Understanding AI Technology & Its Implications (0:31:22) - Creating a Perfect Data Model Chapter Summaries: (0:00:00) - AI Land Grab Ethics (13 Minutes) In this episode, we dive into the world of artificial intelligence (AI) with Ben from Inevitable AI. Ben's company, Inevitable AI, specializes in writing machine learning algorithms and takes an ethical approach to AI development by not buying or selling data. We discuss the importance of understanding the ethical implications of AI and how it's becoming increasingly relevant in our daily lives. (0:12:54) - Exploring AI Collaboration and Cooperation (12 Minutes) We delve into the classification of AI, discussing strong AI and its ability to match or surpass human abilities in various areas. We examine the concept of general AI, which entails performing any task that a human can do to the same level or better. The conversation highlights the power of narrow AI and how AI has become adept at certain tasks like playing chess, while still struggling with seemingly simple tasks for humans like setting up and cleaning a board. The discussion also covers the development of AI's ability to cooperate and collaborate in adversarial environments, such as the hide and seek game created by OpenAI. (0:24:31) - Understanding AI Technology & Its Implications (7 Minutes) We discuss the potential origins of strong general artificial intelligence and its possible creation by a small, unknown team rather than a large enterprise. We also touch on the ongoing debate over data ownership and the importance of policymakers understanding the technology they are regulating. Additionally, we explore the differences between synthetic data and generated data, shedding light on the safety concerns around synthetic data and its potential misuse' (0:31:22) - Creating a Perfect Data Model (0 Minutes) We explore the concept of creating a perfect model of data through understanding every aspect of correlations. This would be a mathematically possible but massive undertaking, and we discuss the implications of running such a model in reverse to obtain the same input data'   INEVITABLE is an Award winning ethical research and development collective of AI technology experts. The Halo Series on Paramount+ Review On today's episode of Grief Burrito Hazz is joined by Ryan from Kidnapped by Wizards to discuss their thoughts on the entire first season of Halo; the new original series on Paramount+ (using Amazon Prime for us UK viewers). The Halo Series story takes place in what’s called the Silver Timeline, it stands in its own canon from the games and is an alternative telling. The man in the big green Mjolnir Armor must do all he can to protect one and seek out another Forerunner Artifact before The Covenant led by brainwashed human Makee (played by Charlie Murphy) can find it.  Not before Dr. Catherine Halsey, played incredibly by Natasha McElhone and Margaret Parangosky will do all they can to twist John-117 to their will. In Part One we discuss our overall thoughts on the introduction to the series universe and the characters that live in it, in Part Two we discuss out series highlights and finally in Part Three we discuss what we see coming next and how we felt about the finale! Dead Space 2 diverts from Dead Space 1 and how it scares the player. Dead Space 1, The Xbox 360 game felt more like a ghost train, more quiet areas, focusing more on creeping round corners to suddenly be pounced on by Necromorphs. The first game felt like it had shooting and dismemberment as a survival tool as well as a storytelling mechanic. Dead Space 2 in comparison though, is more interested in panic. It’s more full on and it drives the player to panic through areas of combat and fear by throwing waves of Necromorphs in their path. Returning to The Ishimura... must be one of the most horrific experiences we've had in games... Isaac Clarke awakens aboard The Sprawl; A floating space colony built into the remains of the moon of Titan circling Saturn only to find himself in the midst of a second Necromorph rampage. The entirety of Titan Station is a blood soaked massacre of limbs! Another World, the classic 1991 cinematic platform adventure game is relaxing, punishing, and brilliant! Watch the first episode of our playthrough here! In the year 1991, a solo indie developer called Éric Chahi released what could be one of the most iconic one-man games ever to be released for the Amiga & Atari ST. The game tells the story of a young scientist by the name of Lester who is transported to "Another World" when an experiment goes wrong. The adventure is filled with dangerous creatures that will transport your mind Out of This World! One of the amazing things about this game is that not only did Chahi develop the game alone but he also created his own GAME ENGINE to run the adventure. He crafted his own visual art style from vectors to help reduce memory and even used rotoscoping to plan out Lester's and other characters' animations. The game is a fascinating blend of slow build atmospherics and incredible cinematics for such an old game. Its use of little to no dialogue to tell the story of Lester and his encounters with Buddy (his alien escape comrade) as they battle their way across the alien world earned a huge amount of respect from many game developers. From playing this game all the way through (which you can see here on the Grief Burrito Gamer Channel) I completely understand how this game influenced games such as Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and Ico. To have such a consistent and believable universe crafted out of such simple visuals and sound design is something that I cant hold in high enough regard! Skyrim is good because it's basically for D&D needs. It's the modern iteration of old games like Champions and Baldurs Gate. I'm with you, dude.
