I had a roommate that was from New York that was about 25 years older than I that did multiple years in prison because he was a inforcer/debt collector for some of the gangs out there and he said the scariest most ruthless fight he had ever been in was against a 150 pound younger kid while on Rikers Island. The kid had done some boxing and BJJ but Eugene was a MASSIVE 240 pound’s monster black guy that can throw down. He said out of the many fights he got in this one was the toughest. The kid got him into a rear naked choke and was trying to kill him. He luckily was able to slam the guys head into the brick wall right before he went out. He said out of being shot, stabbed, and almost beaten to death by a bunch of guys the closest he came to death was in this fight with a kid he almost had 100 pounds on because he had some training.
Absolutely great information in this episode. Thank you for your willingness to give us this info for free. Greatly appreciated.
Did Jocko just get done listening to Daryl Coopers latest episode too? All this dead horse talk...🤔
Very helpful advice on nerves and preparing for a competition.
This episode was the epitome of Extreme Ownership and humility even before Lister called it out. I love how, like Jordan B. Peterson, Jocko walks his talk.
echo talks most of the time, restating the same thing. Not a priority to listen to this episode
