In today’s episode, I am talking to two of the leading lights of contemporary Grounded Theory, Prof Melanie Birks and Professor Jane Mills. Melanie is Professor of Nursing and Midwifery and James Cook University in Australia, Jane is Pro Vice Chancellor Health Innovation (Regional) and Dean, La Trobe Rural Health School at Latrobe University in Australia. Together, Melanie and Jane are most famous for their excellent book Grounded Theory – a practical guide. Their book is has recently been released in its third edition, and Melanie and Jane have now also launched an online training course in grounded theory. Because of these developments, I invited them to the podcast to discuss aspects of developing as a grounded theorist.
