Sean Barry started hunting while growing up in Florida when his grandfather taught him how to shoot at .22.  Hunting has been a family tradition, a means to connect to his food, and declutter his mind from day to day modern obstacles.  He talks about his first elk, why birds are a great place to start, and why it's worth humans reengaging with the entire process of their food.
Dr. Juan Valdivia-Valdivia was practicing neurosurgery and knee deep in academia at the University of Michigan when he took his first freediving course in the Bahamas at the age of 39.  Immediately hooked, he joined a private practice in Tampa and made the move to Florida to be closer to the water.
"Freediving isn't just a sport it's a lifestyle.  It's a shortcut to mindfulness.  You become free of thought and are just in the moment.  And there is nothing more beautiful than that." - Dr. Juan Valdivia-Valdivia
Miami chef Michael Smerda talks about growing up eating wild game, the lessons of knowing where your food comes, the part we play in the circle of life, and how it's hard to beat simple dishes prepared well.
Allie Reilly talks about how freediving started as a way to enjoy the ocean and grew into a way for her to expand her yoga background while finding moments of wonder.  She discusses freediving as not only a way to practice peace of mind, but a way to find yourself.  The episode caps off by having Allie say positive affirmations for listeners to replay when needed.
18 time world record holder and legend of freediving William Trubridge talks about growing up on the ocean, what goes through his head during a freedive to 400ft, the lessons he's learned while sharpening his mind and body to conquer the depths of the oceans, and why everyone should give freediving a try.
Adam Dundore talks about how hunting has always connected him to Mother Earth, his father, and his roots.
Matt Carrol talks about growing up next to many different oceans, finding scuba later in life, and the joy he gets by introducing people to the sport he loves.
