Tiffany Reid is STILL MISSINGAccording to reports, Tiffany was last seen on her way to classes at Shiprock Northwest High School in Shiprock, New Mexico at 8:20 a.m. on May 17, 2004. However, she never arrived at school and has not been heard from since. At the time, she was carrying a black backpack and a purse with her nickname, Kay-C, printed on it. It is worth noting that her mother did not report her missing until a week later, as Tiffany had a history of running away from home and usually returned on her own. Additionally, it was not uncommon for her to not come home directly after school, but she would always stay in touch with her loved ones through phone calls. It is believed that Tiffany left of her own accord. Following her disappearance, her makeup bag was found at a well-known party area near Sweetwater, Arizona, at the base of the Carrizo Mountains. Several items of clothing were also discovered in the vicinity, but they could not be positively identified as belonging to Tiffany. It is possible that she may still be in the Shiprock or Sweetwater areas, or she could have traveled to Arizona or Mexico. If you know anything, please contact Shiprock Police Department 505-368-1350--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*Social Media Links*Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/handsoffmypodcastYou Can Buy Us a Coffee: https://bmc.link/handsoffpodHOM Pod Shop: https://www.bonfire.com/store/hom-pod-shop/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@handsoffmypodcastOur Latest Video: https://www.youtube.com/@handsoffmypod/featuredNEWS Sponsor, Supporters, Partners: https://handsoffmypodcast.transistor.fm/partners'Hands Off My Podcast' Original Theme Song Produced by : Just DiVine https://www.youtube.com/@JDivine911

Fake Rehabs Are Stealing our Loved Ones!Hello My HOMkins, I have come across a disturbing trend that needs to be brought to light. The sight of white vans is enough to send shivers down the spines on their intentions. These fake rehab homes are taking advantage of our Native American community, preying on those struggling with addiction and mental health issues. They lure them in with false promises of healing and high-quality treatment, only to rip them away from their tribe and loved ones. The result? Missing and murdered indigenous individuals.I recently had the honor of speaking with Reva Stewart from Stolen People Stolen Benefits and Turtle Island Women Warriors, two organizations working tirelessly to bring justice to our community. Reva's dedication to this cause has earned her a nomination for the prestigious USA TODAY Women of the Year program. This program recognizes the outstanding contributions made by women to their communities and our country as a whole. It began in 2022 as a continuation of the Women of the Century initiative, which commemorated the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage. It's time to shed light on this heartbreaking issue and honor the brave women like Reva who are fighting for justice. Let's come together as a community and support Reva and other women making a difference in the lives of Native Americans. Together, we can bring an end to this exploitative trend and ensure a better future for our people.Stolen People Stolen Benefits/ Turtle Island Women Warrior: https://www.turtleislandww.com/ If you’re interested in the full interview of my guests from the podcast, you can view it on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@handsoffmypod/playlists Sources/Articles:https://azcir.org/news/2023/11/02/road-to-recovery-ahcccs-fraud/ https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/over-200-people-are-homeless-after-tucson-recovery-community-closes-during-medicaid-probe https://www.ksut.org/news/2023-09-18/allies-use-social-media-to-reunite-native-american-families-with-those-caught-up-in-fake-sober-homeshttps://newrepublic.com/article/174330/inside-sober-home-scam-preying-thousands-native-americans https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/arizonas-tribal-communities-find-unmarked-graves-search-loved-ones-amid-sober-living-scheme-kris-mayes--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*Social Media Links*Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/handsoffmypodcastYou Can Buy Us a Coffee: https://bmc.link/handsoffpodHOM Pod Shop: https://www.bonfire.com/store/hom-pod-shop/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@handsoffmypodcastOur Latest Video: https://www.youtube.com/@handsoffmypod/featuredNEWS Sponsor, Supporters, Partners: https://handsoffmypodcast.transistor.fm/partners'Hands Off My Podcast' Original Theme Song Produced by : Just DiVine https://www.youtube.com/@JDivine911

Annual Missing Person's Day Greater San Antonio 2024Hey there, fellow HOMkins! I'm excited to give you all an update on the February 3rd Missing Persons Day Event in San Antonio. It was an incredible experience and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share it with you. One of the highlights of the event was getting to meet Nina Brooks, the CEO of Search and Support San Antonio. My friend Robin Johnson, who is the aunt of Armani Dante Morgan, an unsolved murder victim, was also there with me (Unsolved Homicide of Armani D. Morgan ~ Robin Johnson FULL INTERVIEW). The walls were filled with Missing Person posters and banners, serving as a powerful reminder of the countless individuals who have gone missing, been murdered, or are part of unsolved cases in San Antonio alone. It was a sobering sight to see names like Lina Kihl, Pauline Diaz, Amalia Garza, James Preston Davis, Khadija Derry, Ray Richardson, and Meagan Gonzales, among thousands of others, all still missing or unsolved. It was a bittersweet event, as we came together to honor and remember those who are still missing or have been victims of unsolved cases. But it was also a day of hope, as we saw the community come together to support each other and work towards finding answers and justice for these individuals and their families. I was particularly moved by the presence of organizations like Search and Support San Antonio, who work tirelessly to bring closure to families and give a voice to those who can no longer speak for themselves.I urge all of you to take a moment to reflect on the names I mentioned earlier, and the thousands of others who are still missing or have unsolved cases. Let's keep their memories alive and continue to spread awareness, in the hopes that one day, we will have answers and justice for all. Until then, let's continue to support each other and work towards making our communities safer for everyone.Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience at the Missing Persons Day Event. Let's keep the momentum going and remember, we are all in this together.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------MORE ON: Search and Support San Antonio, Missing Person Eventhttps://www.sassatx.org/missing-person-flyer-templatehttps://www.sassatx.org/our-sponsors-partners-and-supporters--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NEXT WEEK EVENT: Arlene Harbison, Central Texas Cold Case March--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey, my HOM-kins!As you may know, my birthday is this month, and I wanted to do something a little different this year. Instead of receiving gifts for myself, I'd like to make a difference by supporting a non-profit organization close to my heart. So here's what I'm thinking: for my birthday, I'm asking all my incredible friends, family, and even you, yes who's listening to this bonus episode, to consider donating to this organization. Search & Support San Antonio has the mission to provide 'advocacy and support to families of missing persons and those who have been victims of unsolved crimes through outreach events.' They're making a real impact in our community, and every dollar counts. I've made it super easy for everyone to donate. You can head to their website, click the donate button, and choose whichever amount you feel comfortable giving.Search and Support San Antonio, Missing Person Eventhttps://www.sassatx.org/missing-person-flyer-templatehttps://www.sassatx.org/our-sponsors-partners-and-supporters--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Remembering Laura M. I just found this podcast and now it's one of my favorites. There is not enough exposure on this topic. I've listened and read to a lot of true crime podcasts and not a lot of victims are MMIWG or AAPI. Thank you. Jasmine
