Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), also known as benign intracranial hypertension or Pseudotumor cerebri, is a rare condition with an unknown cause or causes. The condition is associated with raised fluid pressure around the brain. Expert guests: Professor Sinclair is a Professor of Neurology at the University of Birmingham, and Head of the Metabolic Neurology Research Group. She is an international figure in translational research in Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), headache and traumatic brain injury. Dr Susan Mollan, is an Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham and a Consultant Neuro-ophthalmologist at University Hospitals Birmingham. She is an International Senior Examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. This Podcast has truly changed my life. I have suffered with migraines and by listening to this Podcast I discovered I was giving myself rebound migraines and I have stopped all of my Triptans and OTC tension medications for almost 6 weeks and my life has changed so much. I know I will need them but will only use them a few times a month. Thank you for educating people about so many aspects of migraines.
