Description

In 2007, a serial killer inspired by Rube Goldberg murdered Lorena Salas, Carlos Aniceto, and Ana Nuñez in Sierra Blanca, Texas then vanished never to be heard of again.
Authorities believe that these murders were the collateral damage of a cartel turf war that spilled into Mexico. Though, Lorena's niece, Magdalena Salas, does not believe that story.
The Heads of Sierra Blanca is an 8 episode podcast hosted by Magdalena and private investigator, Monica Rodriguez, following their investigative research concerning what really happened and who is responsible.

This show is an immersive experience that combines fiction, true crime and real interviews with experts.

I don't know that I will finish this podcast. I feel like they could have been more upfront about all of the fiction, scripting, and what is real or a reenactment. I legit thought I might have downloaded thus from the fiction section, but can't remember if it was in true crime or fiction.. Story is okay? I would prefer an actual investigative journalist podcast or a dateline episode. If you don't like a lot of scripting and obvious acting, skip this one folks.

Juarez people don't talk that way, it's way too dramatic. But it must be necessary to get the attention of some listener.

I wonder if they are being targeted for their super Hispanic pronouncing of the SPANISH WORDS.

I agree though. don't call it real and then it's obviously fake. Darkest Nights is super corny yet I love listening to it.

I'm not able to download the episodes. is this on purpose? this is the only podcast I can't download them. stinks trying to listen at work and having to use data. I love that the narrator's don't Americanize their Spainsh and that it references my hometown of El Paso. Sad for all the negative reviews. I think it's good for it's first season.

A fantastic bit of fiction! Yes some parts are a little overacted, but all in all it kept me ears pressed to the wall to hear what happened next.

I really wanted to like this story, and even got as far as Episode 6. But the acting by the two main characters was just too over done and unbelievable; I can suspend believe as well as anyone else but this is just too horrible. Another thing that wets my wick? The fact that these two clearly fluent Spanish speakers need a Spanish translator. Awful.

ok the story of this is very interesting. unfortunately due to the sensitive nature of this the actors they hired to hide there identity is awful. they seem to have the need to add personal drama, idk if they are trying to build suspense or just not sure what to do. it comes off as fake, and less real. i keep listening because I do think the story could pay off.

A bit weird the two investigators need a Spanish translator. Anyway. A tad overacted. Need to tone it down a bit.
