Description

If you just need to get to the bottom of health and safety in an easy, non jargon way then this is the podcast for you. We're busting the barriers of health and safety in the workplace, without the big words and monotone voices. We're going back to the beginning and discussing what health and safety is, why it is important and what everything actually means.
This isn't a podcast for H&S professionals but for those that need to understand H&S for their business or their role within the workplace.

An unscheduled change this week following a situation that unfolded following a recent tik tok post.A video was posted on our tik tok channel that lead to a very large number of comments that were abusive/misogynistic/rude and some that highlighted a lack of understanding of health and safety from a moral, legal or financial view so we decided we needed to discuss this with our listeners to break it down. It also, as humans, had an impact on us and we felt a way to process it was to share our experience with you as the people on the end of the abuse and show the impact it can have. Please do feel free to get in touch with your views on this, we're always happy to have a discussion.Daisy & Lynsey x

Gill Kernick lived on the 21st floor of Grenfell Tower up until 2014. Many of those who were her neighbours at the time were lost in the horrific fire which broke out on June 14th 2017. Gill subsequently has written a book about what happened and why we don't seem to be able to move forward and truly prevent catastrophic events from occurring and reoccurring. In this special episode, Daisy talks with Gill through her personal experiences, her book and her hopes for future systemic change. Thanks for listening.
