OVERVIEW: Do what the other 99% aren’t doing. Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about setting your products/services on a category of their own. In this episode, Jason shares some of his takeaways from Alex Hormozi’s “$100M Offers,” teaching us the foundation for charging premium rates and allowing your business to be a unique gem among the rest.   3 KEY POINTS: Analyze and anticipate your clients' problems. Create offers that solve those problems. Price your services at a premium rate.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Pricing your services as the cheapest is a race to the bottom. Avoid being in a commodity business. Grocery stores are one of the best examples of these. The profit margin in a grocery store is usually 3-5% which leaves zero room for error. If you price yourself under the competition, you're entering into the cycle of commodity markets, where each new competitor decreases their price in hopes of capturing a larger market share over time, which usually doesn't end well. To create an amazing offer, go back to what your client, student, or patient is coming to see you for, analyze every problem they could probably face, and create a solution for those. Jason's listening to Alex Hormozi's "$100M Offers" and taking notes on how to improve his businesses' offers and stay in a "category of one." Taken from the book, Jason explains the different tiers of service you can provide: Do It Yourself - "We'll teach you, but you'll do it yourself." Done With You - A tier higher including a combination of what the client does and what's done for them Done For You - Everything is done for the client. By combining different varieties of services, the value you're giving becomes higher. If you package your solutions for your client’s problems, you are creating an incredible value proposition that you can charge far above what anybody else is charging. Stay tuned for a future episode where we talk about an equation explaining what you need to do to increase the value of your service. Also, stay tuned for exciting news about our upcoming giveaway.   TWEETABLE QUOTES: "Go back to what your clients are coming to see you for, analyze every problem they could face, and create solutions for those." – Jason A. OVERVIEW: Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, presents the pros and cons of having a business credit card. If you choose to have one, he provides tips on how to use the card wisely. EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Jason shares an example of someone who funded their startup with a business credit. He changed his mind on the business and presumed he wouldn't be held personally responsible for the debt. He was wrong. Jason explains the differences between a small business credit card and a corporate credit card. A corporate credit card is more difficult to set up but it holds only the business liable for expenses versus the person.  There are revenue requirements to set up a corporate credit card – $4million in gross revenue. Only C corps and S corps can apply – not LLCs.  The great value business credit cards provide is their point system. Jason's Chase Preferred card offers 3 points for every $1.00 he spends. For example, if he spends 10k in a year, using the 3-point system, that's 30k points or $300 in cash value.  Divide your credit card points by a hundred to get an estimate of its value in gift cards or if you were to cash it out. Set up reminders for your credit card payments to avoid paying interest. Jason advises not to trade interest for points.  TWEETABLE QUOTES: “If you're responsible and you've proven you have a great track record of financial and fiscal responsibility, go for it [a credit card]. Get the extra rewards.” – Jason Duprat “Be wise, be smart and be honest with your business transactions.” – Jason Duprat RESOURCES: Sign up for one of our free business start-up Masterclasses by heading over to https://healthcareboss.org/masterclass/ Have a healthcare business question? OVERVIEW: Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy talks about how to create wealth in today's economy, including the two ways to do this and the three types of people who create wealth through their assets.    EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: The right way to create passive or semi-passive wealth is to create multiple assets vs trading your time for money or ‘working your ass off.' There are three categories of people with assets: creators, controllers, and owners. Creators generate revenue using their mind to build or create something. Examples include online courses, coaching and consulting in a group setting, intellectual property and white label services.  Controllers generate revenue through syndication – in other words they don't own the assets but they control them. Examples here include managing an Airbnb, affiliate marketing and drop shipping.  Lastly, owners generate revenue through ownership of real estate. Property examples include car washes, storage rentals, laundromats, Redbox and rental properties.  The sharing economy is taking a liability and turning it into an asset, like renting out your background, pool, barn or garage for an event.  Peer-to-peer lending, often referred to as social lending, connects people or entities who are willing to loan money with people who need to borrow money.  To craft wealth, change your mindset from consumer to employee. Think like an entrepreneur or producer vs consumer.    TWEETABLE QUOTES: “If you're making it (money) with your ass, you're trading your time for dollars…the only way that you can make a dollar is to sell hours of your skills and life to an employer, and that is extremely limited.” – Jason Duprat “Basically, you can take what used to be your liability, something that used to be a cost to you, and help either reduce the liability or just flat out turn it into an asset. This is called the sharing economy.”  – Jason Duprat  “You do not have to be on the consuming end. If you are on the producing end, if you're adding value to people, that's where the real wealth is generated. That's how you become wealthy in today's economy.” – Jason Duprat RESOURCES: Sign up for one of our free business start-up Masterclasses by heading over to https://healthcareboss.org/masterclass/ Have a healthcare business question? OVERVIEW: Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy, talks about if and when you should consider looking into multiple streams of revenue – and how to systemize them.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Creating multiple streams of revenue may be the obvious way forward but it also has its pros and cons. Timing and taking little steps should always be your focus if you want all of them to succeed. Systemize your streams of revenue. Doing everything at once will only lead to inefficiency and even failure.  Stop pulling yourself into different directions, focus on your primary business before thinking about trying other ventures. Jason references Elon Musk and how he has built his companies through momentum and systemization. Think in a step-wise fashion! There's only so much you can do. Be conscious of your energy, time, and money. Not all streams of income should be active streams of income.  Entrepreneurship is flexible. Be in control, don't be afraid to go into something that you are passionate about. TWEETABLE QUOTES: “Momentum is what will propel you to generating each additional stream of revenue.” – Jason Duprat “The beauty of entrepreneurship is that everything is in your control.” – Jason Duprat RESOURCES: Sign up for one of our free business start-up Masterclasses by heading over to https://healthcareboss.org/masterclass/ Have a healthcare business question? OVERVIEW: “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some hire public relations officers.” – Daniel J. Boorstin Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, sits down with Paul Furiga, President and Chief Storyteller of WordWrite. In this episode, Paul shares decades’ worth of knowledge on Public Relations, such as various PR concepts, how to use PR to gain success, and his take on the difference between Advertising and PR.  EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: He spent about 20 years in Journalism, wrote about 10,000 stories, and edited another 10,000. Along with his Journalism experience, he learned the value and skill of Storytelling. Advertising vs Public Relations analogy: Advertising is when you come into the office the morning after your big date and you tell everybody how great you were. PR is when you come into the office the morning after your big date and your date tells everybody how great you are. Paul and his company practice a 21st Century practice abbreviated as P.E.S.O. - Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned. Every healthcare client Paul works with needs these four categories of content to gain success. Pitching is the Psychology of "When is the right time and right place for the right story?" Three categories of measuring Public Relation success are Outputs, Outtakes, and Outcomes. Press Releases are good for SEO. When you put a Press Release on the internet, write it in plain, easy-to-understand English that can be understood by those outside your profession. You only need to spend a large amount of money if you are making a major national announcement. For regional announcements, there are much more affordable regional distributions. The best way to reach Paul would be through www.wordwritepr.com   TWEETABLE QUOTES: "If you can tell the story of why their life is going to be better or different because of the unique value you bring, you're going to have the best success possible." – Paul Furiga  "Don't ever measure impressions. OVERVIEW: Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast talks about how – and if – you should start a business when you have student loan debt.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: In the US, student debt totals 1.6 trillion dollars. The average student graduates with just under 38k in student loans. And 15% of the US population currently has student loan debt. Jason shares five tips for those struggling with student loans yet still want to launch their business. First, choose your institution wisely. As a student, think about the return on your investment! Don't just pick the most expensive school. The odds of getting your money back, especially in the healthcare field, is relatively low.  Second, make sure you're paying the least amount of interest as possible after you graduate. Consider loan consolidation. Also, there are governmental loan forgiveness programs. They often have a strict contract so make sure you can commit to avoid penalties. Next, reduce the amount you owe. Jason joined the Navy Reserves and reduced his loans by 30k. This has its pros and cons, which you should consider when looking for new opportunities to repay your debt. Fourth, spend wisely and live lean. Self-discipline and self-control is a must to avoid ballooning student loans. Live well below your means and don't make expensive purchases like a new car or home.  Fifth, figure out a way to earn more. Work overtime and apply extra payments directly to your principal vs interest. Pick up a PRN job, which offers great flexibility and pays 25-50% higher than normal salaries.  Start lean and if possible start with a partner who can share expenses with you. Humble yourself. Start small and also consider online options, which have little to no startup costs, such as courses and books.  Once launched, and if possible, consider reinvesting your earnings vs paying off your student debt. This might allow you to move to a second business more quickly with a higher growth model.    TWEETABLE QUOTES: “Choose your degree wisely, choose your school wisely, and choose it based on your return on investment.” – Jason Duprat   “The key is to get started…start up lean, reinvest your earnings and keep pushing forward.”  – Jason Duprat   CONNECT WITH JASON DUPRAT: LinkedIn | Facebook | Instagram | Youtube | Facebook Group   RESOURCES: Sign up for one of our free business start-up Masterclasses by heading over to https://healthcareboss.org/masterclass/ Have a healthcare business question? OVERVIEW:  Obesity is a disease. It's not just a lifestyle issue. Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, sits down with Katherine Saunders, Co-Founder of Intellihealth, Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and Host of the Weight Matters Podcast. Join us in this episode as we debunk the long-standing stigma surrounding obesity and learn more about Katherine and Intellihealth's mission to bring accessible medical obesity care for all.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS  Katherine's mentor had a predecessor company which she and her husband transitioned into Intellihealth, wherein they aim to democratize effective obesity treatment. Serving as a Primary Care physician, Katherine was overwhelmed with her patients' weight-related diseases which inspired her to pursue Obesity Medicine. Physiological and pathophysiological changes occur with excess weight that make it very difficult to lose weight and easy to gain weight. Obesity Medicine is a newer field of medicine. There are only under 6,000 physicians who are certified in Obesity Medicine, which is astoundingly low considering how rampant obesity is in America. The cornerstone of the field is dietary strategies, physical activity, and behavioral change. Medications come in only after comprehensive evaluations and needs assessments. Katherine mentions the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Obesity Medicine Associate, and conferences available to learn more about the field. She works closely with Software Developers in Intellihealth, combining two vastly different fields to make Obesity Medicine more accessible for all. One of their goals is to break the stigma, to educate people that obesity is a disease and not dependent on willpower alone.   TWEETABLE QUOTES  “Obesity is a disease. OVERVIEW Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about how to attract the top talent to your team when starting or running a new business. EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: If you’re launching or starting a new business, building a team of talented people is important for growth. When you have a great team, you can deliver great products and service.  When it comes to hiring new employees, position the benefits of working for your company, especially if you can’t offer a big salary.  One advantage of working for an entrepreneur is autonomy – often not found in the corporate sector. There are layers, meetings and bureaucracy you have to go through with larger entities in the corporate world. Talented people want room to grow and the ability to make decisions. This includes managing budgets and teams, as well as being able to create and come up with solutions.  When employees can make decisions, they feel empowered and have a sense of pride in their work. Another perk you can promote is providing a title. This boosts morale and can serve as a stepping stone for your employees further down the road if they decide to pursue other opportunities.  Flexible hours help your employees improve their work-life balance. Beyond hours, flexibility can also include working remotely and having time to take vacations. If you want to attract the top talent to your team, verbalize, communicate and market the benefits of working for your new business. Do this across all channels including job boards, your website and during interview questions. Hiring the top talent allows you to take your business to the next level. OVERVIEW: Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast talks about the best way to manage irrational and overly demanding customers. EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: When you own a business, complaints are something you can't escape. There are ways you can manage angry customers while maintaining the integrity of your company.  Be empathetic and listen to what unsatisfied customers are saying. Put yourself in their shoes and really listen to the core reason behind their complaint.  Unhappy customers are louder than happy customers. They're going to make more noise. Always try to resolve the situation before it gets worse. Managing customer expectations, especially customers who escalate easily, can be correlated to the price of your product or service. Minimize the opportunity to complain. If your costs are higher, you'll attract a higher quality customer.  Believe it or not, sometimes the customer isn't always right. Don't be afraid to discharge them from your business. Jason shares his former general manager's philosophy and how it resolved sticky situations in the past. Don't feel guilty about taking charge and putting a stop to irrational and insistent customers. TWEETABLE QUOTES: “Unhappy customers are louder. They're gonna make more noise than a hundred happy customers.” – Jason Duprat “Discharge your irrational customers, because at the end of the day, it's not worth it – as long as you know you did everything right.” – Jason Duprat CONNECT WITH JASON DUPRAT: LinkedIn | Facebook | Instagram | Youtube | Facebook Group RESOURCES: Sign up for one of our free business start-up Masterclasses by heading over to https://healthcareboss.org/masterclass/ Have a healthcare business question? OVERVIEW: “We're not competitor-obsessed, we're customer-obsessed. We start with what the customer needs and we work backwards.” — Jeff Bezos Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, sits down with David Lu, Founder of Axon Video Strategy. In this episode, David shares how he combined his years of Pharmacy experience, passion for Business, and for Video Production expertise to build his value-driven career today. We also learn what separates a regular skill from an in-demand, client-centric service. Tune in to learn more of David's timeless wisdom. EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: David grew up with a passion for business-related topics. David's sister started her own Film Production Company in LA and he worked for her for several shoots. He studied Video Production on his own and eventually did Video side projects alongside doing Pharmacy work. He wanted to do what he loved and empower others to do what they loved, so he combined his interest in business with his Video Production skills to pursue that. One of David's techniques for overcoming Impostor Syndrome is practicing gratitude. Whenever he feels discouraged, a trusted friend reminds him of his accomplishments and helps him to be grounded. It's one thing to provide a service, but another thing to provide a metrics-focused result. Rather than focusing on providing Video Production, the highlight of David's business is providing inquiries or leads for businesses. David niching down to serving medical practitioners came down to three factors: Leveraging his existing background in healthcare Who would benefit from his products and services Who is willing and able to pay for his services. When choosing an editor, choose someone who can tell your story. If they don't know the objective of the video, the edit's going to be pointless. You can reach David through axonvs.com or his email, david@davidlufilms.com. TWEETABLE QUOTES: “If someone has Impostor Syndrome, all it means is that they're human. OVERVIEW Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about why your business should get cybersecurity insurance and different ways to mitigate risks regarding your business' data being hacked or stolen.  EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Are you taking the right security measures when protecting yourself and your business' data? The recent attack on SolarWinds Orion software is one of the greatest US cybersecurity breaches and affected close to 18,000 companies. The breach led to massive data compromises in big corporations, including governmental agencies, and will take years to identify the damage that's been done. The cybersecurity of your business should always be one of your biggest priorities. Your online data footprint is vulnerable to an attack at any time so protect yourself by purchasing cybersecurity insurance.  Use two-factor authentication, which sends a pin code to your cellphone to verify logins. Review your password management protocol. Change your passwords every 6 months and use unpredictable passwords – including a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, along with symbols and numbers. You can also use third-party password software tools such as LastPass.  Never plug anything unknown into your computer, such as a thumb drive or CD. They can contain malicious codes that can compromise your computer's files.  Set up your routers properly. Change the username and password and check if your router password is encrypted. Make sure you turn on automatic updates for your software to periodically check for viruses. Remember to also include Windows Updates as well.  Use open networks with caution. Invest in your wifi hotspot on your phone to prevent unwanted data breaches from suspicious open networks. OVERVIEW: “Keep it simple, stupid!” – A design principle noted by the U.S. Navy Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about keeping your business “Simple.” Jason shares one of the most common traps new business owners fall into – chasing “Shiny Objects” or feeling the need to be “Extraordinary.” You don't need to do extraordinary things to achieve extraordinary results, and in this episode, Jason explains why. Tune in until the end to hear about Jason's new rank-topping book! EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: “Keep it simple, stupid” is a powerful motto Jason has followed since he heard it from his high school teacher. People often believe they need to be wildly “extraordinary” and accomplish “complex” feats. In an interview, Warren Buffet once said, “you don't have to do exceptional things to get exceptional results.” Instead of doing extraordinary things, strive to do simple things extraordinarily. In business, complex systems can cost you effectiveness and efficiency. Keep things at a level where it's easy for everyone to understand. Simple systems and processes benefit you during turnover, as it isn't difficult to pass on responsibilities if they are easy to understand. Pursue businesses that are simple and boring but deliver exceptional results. Business owners who dislike doing “boring” work and are distracted and chase down new, exciting, shiny objects usually deliver subpar results. Moving from “good to great” and “great to exceptional” takes a lot of time, effort, repetition, and going through the “boring” things that feel as if they don't make any progress. As an example, Jason and his team are in the process of simplifying their business. He will consolidate his different business entities into one overarching brand called “Healthcare Boss” to avoid the complexity of using several accounts for several apps. TWEETABLE QUOTES: “Keep it simple. If you have a complex business model with complex systems, you're setting yourself up for failure because those take a tremendous amount of resources and mental energy.” – Jason A. Duprat “Every time you're making a business decision about systems, processes, operations, and marketing, think forward and anticipate the impact it's going to bring years down the road.” – Jason A. OVERVIEW: “Efficiency is doing better what is already being done.” – Peter Drucker Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about the importance of systems and processes. In business, every single second of every single team member counts, so in this episode, Jason teaches us how to streamline workflows and maximize efficiency and productivity through automation, software, and A.I. tools.  EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: All businesses run on a series of workflows, wherein much of what our team members or we do is repetitive. Jason runs us through his repetitive workflow when producing and publishing his podcast as an example. Jason learned some of his workflow efficiency strategies from Richard Winters, part of his Mastermind Group and a previous guest on this podcast. Document every step of your or your team's tasks or job functions. All the individual steps in these processes require multiple clicks and much time. We can optimize any workflow by reducing repetitive tasks to a minimum. To help streamline his business processes, Jason ensures he's always up-to-date with the latest software and technology and utilizes whatever is most beneficial. A Standard Operating Procedure (S.O.P.) is a step-by-step list of instructions for doing something in your business. Start utilizing S.O.P.s, software tools, and automation strategies while your business is small. Once your business grows and is at max capacity, it'll be difficult to build these systems. A benefit of having S.O.P.s is it makes turnovers easier, as all the tasks new people need to be trained on are all located in the same place.   TWEETABLE QUOTES: "Anytime a human is involved in anything, there's a chance of making errors. Software tools and automation help make workflow less error-prone." – Jason A. Duprat "Build your systems and processes while your business is still small or before you even start your practice. It's hard to focus on this when your business has grown to at almost max capacity." – Jason A. OVERVIEW: “People are not your most important asset. The right people are.” – Jim Collins Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about the best practices when hiring for managerial roles. In this episode, Jason recalls his experiences with recent mis-hires, his key takeaways to avoid potential hiring mistakes, and red flags to consider when screening applicants. EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Jason recently had mis-hires for the marketing director position of his business. He's since learned from these experiences and has solidified his hiring process. For your business to grow 3x or 5x, you'd want to hire someone with proven experience. Use personality tests to identify an applicant's compatibility with a role. Jason suggests doing a minimum of three interviews to evaluate an applicant thoroughly. Write precise job descriptions with included KPIs they'll be responsible for. To attract great people, ensure a great working environment with excellent company culture. Hire people who fit your company's culture and core values. Hire people who are genuinely passionate about what they do, not those who work for money alone. From Alex Hormozi: Don't hire entrepreneurs. Hire intrapreneurs. Avoid hiring unemployed managers, as they may be underperformers who were terminated. Check out Jason's book Clinic Launch Secrets on Amazon.  TWEETABLE QUOTES: “Hire managers for their experience, not their potential.” – Jason A. Duprat “Don't ever lowball your offer. OVERVIEW: Communication is 7% Words 38% Tone of Voice 55% Body Language Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, sits down with Shelly O'Donovan, CEO of Authentic Influence Group, with certifications in Body Language Training and the Big 5 Personalities. In this episode, Shelly reveals commonly overlooked communication practices and advice on getting better at conveying our true selves. Tune in to learn secrets used by politicians and other communication experts.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Shelly went from politics to starting her own business in healthcare, helping companies influence the political arena. She got laid off and became burnt out applying for and working in several jobs before learning about Body Language and being certified. Introverts tend to close themselves through body language. Open your body language, keep your arms open, and make eye contact. To remember someone's name, associate it with anything similar or write down bits of information about the person on a piece of paper when they leave the room. For social media, just be yourself and let the world see you, not being worried about perfecting what you post. In practicing your communication skills, start with small steps and with people you're comfortable with. Shelly recommends checking these people out: Vanessa Van Edwards - Behavioral Investigator at Science of People Joe Navarro - Former FBI Agent and Body Language Expert Dale Carnegie - Best-Selling “Author of How to Win Friends and Influence People” among other books   TWEETABLE QUOTES: “Authentic Influence means not trying to be somebody you're not. Just be yourself and let the world see you.” – Shelly O’Donovan “Open your body language more. Open your arms, make eye contact, and be curious about other people. Better communication leads to better outcomes.” – Shelly O’Donovan   CONNECT WITH JASON DUPRAT: LinkedIn | Facebook | Instagram | Youtube | Facebook Group   RESOURCES: Sign up for one of our free business start-up Masterclasses by heading over to https://healthcareboss.org/masterclass/ Have a healthcare business question? OVERVIEW: Challenges are gifts that force us to search for a new center of gravity. Don't fight them. Just find a new way to stand.” – Oprah Winfrey. Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about the Realities of Entrepreneurship through the "Bell Curve of Entrepreneurship." In this episode, Jason shares his advice on how to deal with frustration as a business owner, a challenge he has faced lately in his business, and how he overcome that situation.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Bell Curve of Entrepreneurship consists of X and Y axes, wherein the Y-axis indicates the probability, while the X-axis indicates the distribution of the dataset. Most entrepreneurs running decent businesses are in the middle (mean score) of the bell curve. On one side of the bell curve is Extreme Satisfaction or Elation, On the other side is Extreme Dissatisfaction or Frustration. As an entrepreneur, you won't always be satisfied with your business. There will be days when you will feel extreme frustration. One common challenge businesses face is finding great talent with adequate leadership skills, especially in marketing. It takes a lot of work to find online marketing experts. Those with marketing degrees are often into traditional marketing instead of the newer digital marketing. Marketing is one of the most critical business components you should invest in. You need a strong marketing arm to keep up with your business plans. Frustration is normal and makes you better. Don't beat yourself up about it. Keep your eyes on the prize, focus, and always seek the advice of experts who've overcome your same struggle multiple times. Jason recommends joining Masterminds to get together with like-minded experts miles ahead in their progress. If joining Masterminds has yet to be an option, you may also join communities.   TWEETABLE QUOTES: "Not every day are you going to be satisfied with your business. There are going to be moments of frustration, and that's the reality of business." – Jason A. Duprat "If you're going through frustration in your business, it is normal. Keep your eye on the prize, stay focused, and listen to advice from entrepreneurs with a lot more experience." – Jason A. OVERVIEW: "When the customer comes first, the customer will last." - Robert Half   Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about the Value Ladder, a vital strategy to scale your business. In this episode, Jason shares the importance of the Value Ladder, how it can increase Customer Lifetime Value, and the examples of services included in his Value Ladder.    EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Jason enumerates various products and services that are part of his Value Ladder. The Value Ladder consists of low-level to high-level services. With each step up the value ladder, the higher the investment and the higher the value for the customers. The first step in Jason's Value Ladder is free services such as his Podcast and Newsletters. The second step is Jason's book, "Clinic Launch Secrets," launching soon. The third step is Jason's courses: Ketamine Academy, IV Therapy Academy, and the newly launched Med Spa Launch Academy. Jason and his team are working on tiers even higher than that, such as SEO tools. No matter the kind of business you own, always have free content or services available to your customers.  Jason recommends sharing free content on YouTube as it's the second-largest search engine and is run by Google.  As a customer, with free content, you have to do all the work yourself. However, when you pay more, you're paying for best practices to save yourself from potential mistakes of financial losses. Not everyone immediately jumps to the higher tiers. They may start with the free content or services and then move up when they're interested in more advanced services. The biggest challenge for clinic owners is the marketing of their service, lead generation, and customer retention. The essence of the Value Ladder is to keep your patients coming back or the Lifetime Customer Value (LCV).   TWEETABLE QUOTES: "If nobody knows about your business, you won't have any customers. The best way to get yourself out there is through free or low-cost entry points." – Jason A. Duprat  "Once you've demonstrated your results, expertise, and excellent customer service, your customers will want to keep coming back." –  Jason A. OVERVIEW: Jason A. Duprat, MBA, CRNA, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Boss Academy podcast, talks about the Product Life Cycle and what it means for your business. In this episode, we'll learn how Cash Generation ties in with Cash Usage as Jason elaborates on the Growth Share Matrix and its four quadrants. Tune into this episode to learn more about leveraging your business income!   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Jason uses the BCG matrix, a diagram that helps to put things into perspective what big companies go through when they have multiple products and divisions and they're trying to work towards the following product or service line. The BCG Matrix is also referred to as the Growth Share Matrix. This applies to you if you have a business, big or small, whatever industry. If you want to keep growing, you must leverage your Cash Cow's revenue to start a new product or service line. The problem with cash cows is that the product can die down. The delivery can get stale, and new competition can come in.” You can't just sit on one Cash Cow and expect it to last forever. What most businesses do is they'll invest the money earned from that Cash Cow. Throughout the episode, Jason discusses different services they're working on as an example of how to leverage the BCG Matrix. While this isn't a hard rule, Jason suggests not putting all your time and investment into “Dogs” because that's not where the business growth opportunities are. Solving your existing customers' problems is much better for ROI and increases your Customer Lifetime Value (CLV). TWEETABLE QUOTES: "The Cash Cow is what your business leverages to produce the income necessary to develop, add, create, or build additional products or services." – Jason A. Duprat "Start with just one or two products or services. If you get really good at those, at some point, you're going to develop a Cash Cow." – Jason A.
