This is a quick impromptu episode where I hopped on the microphone after a couple of client meetings to share some thoughts. In the first half, I talk about the role of the advisor, specifically how it’s important for advisors to push back and challenge clients who have strong convictions regarding how to best invest their portfolio. At the end of the day, it’s the client’s money and they have the final say in how to invest, but I think it’s through this push-pull dynamic that we can arrive at the best answers. In the second half of this episode, I share my screen to walk through our Retirement Risks Analysis, which is a complimentary service we offer prospective clients. This is a review of 15 retirement risks, each color-coordinated so you can quickly identify strengths and weaknesses in your planning. This process helps us mutually determine if there is a good fit for a working relationship, and gives us some specific areas to improve so we can hit the ground running. I hope you enjoy this episode, and if you’d like your own Retirement Risks Analysis personalized to you and your situation, get started with the “Share More & Get in Touch” link below, or shoot us a quick email with “Retirement Risks Analysis” in the subject line. *this episode was recorded in video format, so you'll get the most out of it by visiting our YouTube Page and watching there Connect with Loren: Share More & Get in Touch Podcast Page Email: hello@integrityguidance.com

I hope you enjoy this relaxing, long-form interview with Perry Ross!  Connect with Loren: Share More & Get in Touch Podcast Page

For today's episode, we tackle some of the below questions: -How does the current political landscape impact Bitcoin? -How much should investors allocate to Bitcoin? -Where could Bitcoin realistically get to in the next 10 years? -And since this has been a very pro-Bitcoin conversation, I ask Isaiah to present his strongest argument AGAINST Bitcoin. We will tackle additional challenges to Bitcoin in a future episode, but I found this interesting as Isaiah shared a concern that wasn't on my radar. *this episode was recorded in video format, and will soon be available on our channel: YouTube   Connect with Loren: Share More & Get in Touch Podcast Page   More from Isaiah Douglass: Twitter | LinkedIn Swan Private Learn Bitcoin (805) 410-3195

Last episode, we discussed RISA®- Retirement Income Style Awareness. If you haven't taken advantage of completing this for yourself, you can still do so here: RISA® Assessment On this episode, we wrap up with some follow up questions for Wade that you will not want to miss! Discussed on today's show: Wade shares his thoughts on annuities and if they should have a place in a person's retirement planning. Wade discusses the topic of reverse mortgages through the lens of financial planning, rather than as a "last resort." We then spend some time discussing the often used industry term "Fee-Only" and whether this truly eliminates conflicts of interest with an advisor.  We wrap up by discussing some commonly overlooked or misunderstood tax strategies for retirees- preferential income stacking, the Social Security tax torpedo, Medicare IRMAA, Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), and how the "widow's penalty" can further disrupt your tax obligation if unaccounted for.   Connect with Loren: Share More & Get in Touch LinkedIn: Loren Sherman Podcast Page   Connect with Wade: Retire With Style Podcast Retirement Planning Guidebook (and more)
