Absolutely in shock and heartbroken for her and husband.
I listened to the episode and thought...I could relate to her dad (I haven't dealt with abuse or alcoholism) because I tend to be pretty reserve at times myself. It's a fear that I could treat my love ones that way myself. Fortunately I have someone to talk to and confide things with.
Just sick and heartbreaking what happened to this family 😢😡.

I am sorry after listening to this story (disclaimer: I don't mean to victim shame. hindsight is 20 20 and love blinds us all), there were so many flags. first if the person is from out of town, "preceed with caution". second if the person's apt is "no available" and that promises to "move" danger Will Robinson. third if the person acts funny about you having to stay an extra two days because you're snowed in, WTF. fourth a person lies about their kids, Hell No. You get engaged before meeting the kids....What are you smoking and can I have some (sorry if this is shaming)? fifth just no to putting up to disappearing act. I don't know. maybe I am being too critical but I don't know.
Everyone needs to listen to this story. I wish we all knew how to help people who go thru trauma like this
This is such a powerful story. I haven't really thought much of thought about what other people go through in terms of break ups in long-term relationships and all that people lose afterwards. She was going to get married. My heart just goes out to her and so many others.
Please stop saying "uhm", this is torture! Had to stop listening mid episode.

Also, remind them to speak louder. Some episodes it's hard to hear them. At times I thought the podcast had paused or stopped working until I heard Falen respond.
