BONUS: Jason Krawczyk (Writer/Director - He Never Died)

Welcome to this BONUS episode. This is something that was recorded almost a year ago for a podcast I was trying to do called The Horror Archives. I had on Writer and Director Jason Krawczyk. Jason came on the podcast to talk about the (almost) 10 year anniversary of his film He Never Died, starring Henry Rollins. I wanted to share this here as it was a good interview and we had a lot to talk about with the making of the film and because Jason took the time to do this for an unknown podcast. Jason has a bunch of projects in the works and is also an author with his current book release called "Reality Squall" His newest film called Dont Mess with Grandma (which at the time of recording was called Sunset Superman), starring Michael Jai White will be out in 2024. #157 Bryan, Andy and Mitch (Thou)

This weeks episode of the podcast is an interview with Bryan Funck (Vocalist), Andy Gibbs (Guitarist) and Mitch Wells (Bassist) of the band Thou. We discussed the bands new album "Umbilical" which is available now wherever you listen to music as well as directly from the band. After discussing the album we also got into a pretty deep discussion about polital ethos and the correlation with "problematic" metal bands in the scene and whether its the listeners discretion to directly support these bands or not.  We also just have a general good time and some laughs about the best song on the album "House of Ideas" and that you should in FACT, only listen to the first half of the album and not even bother with the rest.   Thanks to Bryan, Mitch and Andy for their time. We also discuss a lot of the lyrical themes and even breifly touch on "Lion of Judas" and the bands break up. #152 Pete Lloyd & Mike Goncalves (Replicant)

Welcome to this weeks episode of Heavy Metal History. My guest were Pete Lloyd and Mike Goncalves of the New Jersey based band Replicant. Pete and Mike came onto the podcast to talk about their crushing new album "Infinite Mortality" which will release soon on  @TranscendingObscurity  records. Replicant Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/replicantnj Replicant Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/replicantnj   Info - After having smashed prevailing standards for the style with their unique approach on their highly lauded previous release, Replicant take things further still with their new full length, finding ways to make their music even more convoluted and impactful while retaining their trademark dissonant and catchy sound. They've found ways to add new aspects to it without hampering the momentum, constantly changing things up with the listener's body still lashing uncontrollably. The songs veer off in their own unexpected, thrilling directions while upholding the inherent semblance of groove, only to reconnect later with greater force. Things seem to add up and make sense as the album progresses, an ostensibly innocuous mechanical contraption getting constant upgrades to become potentially world-ending. There's fire in the songwriting, the members refusing to succumb to the lull of complacency and working furiously, constantly on the songs to elevate them to a rarefied category. It sees the stature of the band rising, the sound evolving methodically and convincingly, the album giving more than what could be expected from them having already established their identity, and in turn setting new standards for others yet again. For fans of: Gorguts, Norse, Demilich, Negativa, Diskord, Wormed, Resin Tomb, Ulcerate, Terra Builder Line up - Mike Gonçalves - Vocals, Bass, Guitars Pete Lloyd - Guitars, Synths, High-Frequency Transmissions Itay Keren - Guitars, Vocals, Void Channels Drums performed by James Applegate.
