This is a fascinating comparison between King David and King Saul. They were both sinners, but they each had a different response to their consequences. As we look at their experiences and character, there is a powerful message of God's love, forgiveness, and the opportunities God has given us to be restored.
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. Hebrews 13:15
Have you ever doubted? The question is, where does doubt come from? Does it come from hell? Does it come from the devil? No. Does the devil use it? Yes. But where does doubt come from? And, is there a way to overcome doubt? These are the two questions I want to answer for you.
God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has given us power, love. And a sound mind. But the one thing that will stop these three things is what God has not given you, which is fear.
Life is a journey. And within that journey, there's several other journeys. You have a journey of relationships, a journey of family, a journey in career, a journey of dreams, hope, aspirations, a journey of trauma, a journey of pain and suffering, or of journey of loss. A journey is. It's the act of traveling from one place to another. So in all these areas of your life, you're gonna be traveling from one place to another. Sometimes it's from good to bad, or from bad to good.
“God won’t give you more than you can handle.” Every verse in the bible only has one meaning. It can have several applications. However, these applications must agree with the meaning of the text.
God has used Psalm 23 to encourage His people
for more than 3,000 years. May He use these
familiar words to bring strength, hope, comfort,
and courage to you today. The 23rd psalm deals
with the realities of life. When you face difficult
decisions, you must be an overcomer. This psalm
is for you.
Cognitive dissonance
is a psychological term that refers to the mental
discomfort or psychological stress experienced by a
person who holds two or more conflicting beliefs,
values, or ideas.
Overcome Discouragement!
Philippians 3:13-14
No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not
achieved it, but I focus on this one thing:
Forgetting the past and looking forward to
what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and
receive the heavenly prize for which God,
through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Psalm 30:9
9 “What is gained if I am silenced, if I go
down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
It is believed that David wrote this Psalm during a
time of illness when he thought he was going to
die and he was pleading with God to extend his
life.
We can grow tired of the stresses of this life. One
day when we die, don’t we want to go to heaven?
Well, we have something that those who have
gone on before us no longer have. David
recognizes it in this Psalm.
The experience of fear involves nervous system
arousal. If your nervous system is not aroused,
you cannot experience fear. Understandably, but
unfortunately, most people attempt to cope with
feelings of fear by avoiding situations or objects
that elicit the feelings. Avoiding fear, gives fear
more power. Moreover, avoidance of fear, over
time will increase it’s power and scope over your
life.
Philippians 4:13 is often used as a promise or a
motivation that if we do our part then God will give
us what we are after. The problem is that’s not
true. God never promises all our earthly problems
will be fixed or taken away.
This verse isn’t a promise that things will go your
way. Actually, it’s quite the opposite. It’s hope in
the midst of your struggles and trials
John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in
me you may have peace. In this world you
will have trouble. But take heart! I have
overcome the world.”

In this episode I talk about two types of faith, one, which I refer to as basic faith. Everyone that exists has this faith. And then there is Crazy Faith. It is possible to live with one without the other. What do you mean two types of faith? Where is that in the Bible? Let me make a disclaimer: The term Crazy. Faith is not in the Bible. It is a term that I coined in 2010 when I published the book Crazy Faith: When Believing Is Not Enough. In it I share my struggles and victories with faith when I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I learned this Crazy Faith through a personal experience and it changed my life forever. I pray the God leads you to have Crazy Faith that will take you to new places in your life.
