Feyre realizes a city in the Night Court exists beyond her wildest dreams, the bat boys and inner circle are introduced, and many breakthroughs are made. Whip yourself up a Weaver cocktail and tune in!

Jump back in with Sam & Emily as they finish their deep dive into A Court of Thorns and Roses, the first book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas. Pour yourself a glass or two of bubbly and enjoy!
IT IS TIME (thorny air horns playing in the background)! Time for Sam and Emily to finally dive off the deep end and into the world of Sarah J. Maas. In this episode they will be breaking down and summarizing the first part of A Court of Thorns and Roses. After two years of pleading on Sam's part, Emily finally gave into the peer pressure and lucky for you guys, now there is content planned for at least a year. So strap in and drink up! Cheers!
Happy 2024 and welcome back to the Iron Flame discussion! Join Sam & Emily as they break down Part 2 of the wildly popular second installment in Rebecca Yarros's Empyrean series. Violet and Xaden are back on their drama, baby Andarna is not so baby-like anymore and keeping some secrets of her own, and shocker - there is another huge cliff we are left hanging onto at the end of this book! Whip yourself up a beverage and enjoy the discussion. Cheers!
"Revolution tastes oddly... sweet."  - Violet Sorrengail Strap into your dragon saddle and buckle up because Iron Flame Part 1 discussion is live and we are eating it up like Violet is revolution biscuits. Whip yourself up a Shadow Daddy Marg and join in for all the thoughts/feelings/theories/qualms/and did we say feelings already? Cheers!
Surprise, surprise! Welcome to the new look, and new direction of what was previously known as Harry Potter and the Half-Drunk Podcast. We are Sam & Emily and we are here to talk all things Fantasy! We will be especially focusing on our favorite heroine-centric series, while enjoying an adult beverage or two. This new content direction will be kicking off with a deep dive into Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros - and just in time for the sequel, Iron Flame - hitting bookshelves near you today, 11/7/23! So if you haven't read Fourth Wing yet, here is a friendly reminder to do so before listening to this episode as spoilers abound. Cheers!

Hello female, male, and nonbinary wizards and thanks for tuning in to HP Half-Drunk! We are so excited to be hosting Sarah back on the pod this episode to help us sift through the journey that is Puffs! Disclaimer: if you really like Puffs, apologies in advance for our comments (though we weren't totally negative). Also apologies for Sarah's AC that was working hard in the background for the majority of this episode on a 94 degree day in KY. Otherwise, pour yourself a Gold Rush cocktail and enjoy!
What's up all you lovely HP Half-Drunkers! Did you miss us? Don't answer that, we know you did! Well the wait is over because we are back with a little catch up and a wrap up episode of ATYDs, year 3. Be sure to grab your favorite beveragino and tune in! Cheers!

The gang finally gets around to the animagus conversation and we get another dose of the Potters and their home for the Christmas holiday. Pour yourself a glass of something tasty & tune in! Cheers!
Happy May and welcome back to HP Half-Drunk and to All The Young Dudes! These two chapters of ATYDs were definitely memorable (until the next time we read ATYDs again and can't recall what we last read). Pour yourself a Suffering Bastard cocktail and dive in with us- after we do a little catching up. Cheers!
Wow hope y'all are ready to talk all about the mythical, highly sought-after, and much prefered Harry Potter prequel series that we all have been desiring. That's right - The Founders of Hogwarts. What would we want to see? Who would we cast? Sam & Emily answer it all in this episode...except our theories about the Hogwarts motto... definitely didn't get so distracted with the convo that we forgot to talk about that... Cheers!
In the clerb, we all fam (if you haven't seen Broad City go watch it so you get the reference). Unless it's the Slerg Clerb, cause that club is invite-only. In this episode of HP Half-Drunk, Sam and Emily join the marauders of ATYDs as they are introduced to the Slug Club. Cheers!
The gals of HP Half-Drunk were actually together in person for the recording of this episode! Join Sam & Emily as they talk about their weekend together in Pittsburgh for Emily's birthday, give life updates, theorize about Hogwarts Legacy, answer your questions, & of course sip margaritas. Cheers!
Tune into HP Half-Drunk this week as Sam and Emily join the marauders on their first ever trip together to Hogsmeade (without secret passageways and trap doors). & learn about Remus's new entrepreneurial venture. Grab a glass of your favorite beverage and enjoy, cheers!
She's creepy and she's kooky, mysterious and spooky. She's altogether ooky - andddd we are talking about her on this episode of HP Half-Drunk. Tim Burton took over Netflix and the internet with his artful direction of Wednesday, and there are many comparisons to be drawn between Wednesday and the Harry Potter series! So tune in to find out more and pour yourself a scrumptious espresso martini... or just a quad over ice. Cheers!

Fun podcast! It's always great to hear these kind of discussions and to see how other people. Good points about the Marauders and the transition between the regular books and Cursed Child. However, some of your questions are answered in the book itself (Harry went to the Dursleys to seal the charm that his mother had cast by sacrificing herself which required a blood connection. Valid point about both sets of grandparents being dead though) or in connected books like "Quidditch through the ages" (other players touching the snitch is a foul called "snitchnip"). As for the sports question: Anything but British culture is hardly discussed or known in the books, as it seems that different countries are quite isolated (illustrated by the lack of knowledge about other wizarding countries and schools, as seen in GoF). Although the story takes place in the '90s it seems that the wizarding world seems to be stuck in the 1900s 😉.

ok I don't understand why people are making a huge deal about Dumbledore's age. Dumbledore is 45 years old in 1927. Jude Law is literally 45 years old as well. the FB franchise will span 20 years and will be filmed over 10 years. All they have to do is age Jude up 10 years by the 5th movie. it isn't that hard. The HP movies made a mistake by making Dumbledore look 75+ when he should look in his 50s-60s in the flashbacks. His appearance isn't even consistent within the HP movies. He has grey hair when he meets 11 year old riddle but years later in the chamber of secrets flashback when Riddle is older he doesnt have grey hair. Dumbledore ages backwards for God's sake. LOL The HP movies were inconsistent and wrong. The FB movies are fixing a wrong. I mean come on guys why is this still an issue for folks! 😂
