It finally happened, I watched the movie that spurned all the lawsuits and drama - and I have thoughts. A review the rom-dramedy? in the spirit of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and thoughts and research into the various distracting derelict lewks and random designer labels. From the acting to the dialogue, and the plot to the set design, the creative choices were all noticed and noted. BONUS: A newly released voicemail from Justin Baldoni, plus the internet reminded me about some Deadpool director drama that sounds familiarAll opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. The conclusion of Justin Baldoni's jam packed lawsuit against the New York Times that covers a pile of alleged inaccuracies from their article regarding a "smear campaign" against Blake Lively. Full text message exchanges between Justin's team seem to present a different reality from the vindictive scenarios outlined in Blake's complaint. Justin's version tells a story of his small production house being blindsided and strong-armed into submission by a powerful celebrity couple. Multiple things can be true, and while several allegations weren't addressed, both sides want a jury trial which hopefully means every detail will be shared at some point. Justin Baldoni files an 87 page lawsuit against the New York Times, this episode reviews contradictions from statements made in Blake Lively's complaint. His perspective seems to be that she held something over Wayfarer as a bargaining chip of sorts to get her way, and that he and his team agreed to her escalating demands to keep the peace. They appear to frame her allegations as a means to regain positive public image that they state was not damaged by a "smear campaign" but rather her own tone deaf actions during the movie's promotional period. Each of their filings reflect very strong, and very opposing, perspectives. Part 6 covers the first half of his filing, Part 7 covers the rest as well as my summary thoughts after realizing one party is either lying or delusional. All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. Review and recommendations of Netflix's 6-part series, 'Black Doves', and the Caroline Lindy's indie film, "Your Monster". Keira Knightly morphs into a super spy with impressive fighting skills and a comedic relief spy best friend in a series that I thought rivaled any action movie in recent years. Then, Melissa Bererra gives an outstanding performance as a young woman dealing with a pile of disappointments and challenges amidst a backdrop of musical theater and fantasy. BONUS: Jax Taylor's silent Cameo and the recent luxury handbag upset by the "Wirkin" All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. The final portion of Blake Lively's complaint filed against Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer for alleged misconduct and a PR smear campaign. Enlightening information is shared via actual text messages that seem to make clear why Justin's messaging and behavior during the launch of the movie was so very different from the rest of the cast. Text messages between his PR and crisis comms team detail the lengths famous people can go to when focused on maintaining or building a positive persona - or working to destroy someone else's. Then, the recent blowback from PR land about allegations of firings v. resignations, client stealing, and ethical lines of the work they do. Sharing details and information from the legal complaint filed by Blake Lively's attorneys on Friday December, 20 that alleges rampant inappropriate conduct on the set of It Ends With Us. The complaint shares her perspective as to what life was like during the initial weeks of shooting the film in early May, through when strikes shut down production, and her efforts to improve the work atmosphere before filming resumed in early 2024. The list of allegations spans repeatedly making comments about women's bodies, mentioning porn, asking lewd questions, a lack of boundaries, and a seemingly unprofessional production team. Part 5 will cover what happened with the marketing and public relations efforts for the actors after the film had wrapped. Dorit's DGAF season continues to give and give as the episode shows us various topics, from Sutton supporting Garcelle's move into her renovated beach house, Jennifer Tilly's Bel Air real estate collection, Boze's travels, Kyle's self love, and Erika's affinity for pizza and delusion - yet none are as entertaining as watching Dorit pop off on a smug Camille. That moment comes during a western fetish party Kyle throws, complete with mechanical bull, tattoo station, errant saddles, and wagon wheel decor. Sutton's attempts to lead the charge into a sorority atmosphere once again fall flat and lead to a cinematic masterpiece of mockery and contempt that results in Dorit snapping and not holding back, however much Erika tries to rein her in. A rant about high-stakes games we're forced to play when dealing with American healthcare, reading two hyped romantasy books in two days, and a recap of Real Housewives of Orange County/The Shannon Show. Shannon gets a car fitted with a breathalyzer, Emily reflects on her anger with Jen, and a lackluster, off-off-off Broadway performance of The Traitors. The second part of the dive into a lengthy court case that resulted from a dramatic breakup between Luis Ruelas and Vanessa Reiser in 2020, a relationship that has continued to produce legal issues well into 2024. Court documents detail allegations of missing engagement rings, mistreatment, money transfers, and outbursts at charity events involving Seth Meyers, Jake Gyllenhaal, and the foundation of beloved actor/Veteran's advocate Gary Sinise. Ex-husbands and ex-fiancée's are brought up, as well as allegations of Catfishing and ex's in cahoots. An audio version of my 2021 Instagram dive where a cursory search to learn more about Teresa's new man, Luis Ruelas, led to a lengthy court case with his ex-fiancée, Vanessa Reiser. The winding tale and transcripts seemed to be the source for multiple news articles about his character. A thorough review of the case painted a picture of a dysfunctional relationship, one that both parties should be thrilled to be free of, yet their legal drama has continued into 2024. We start with a story about a bitter breakup, where it all began. Future parts will follow the journey that led it to became fodder and weaponry between cast members on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The last part of the IEWU dive that focuses on theories about how this all could have been handled better, the importance of true intentions and purpose when dealing with sensitive subject matter, and what Justin Baldoni has been seen doing during this drama. Looking into Blake Lively's now defunct Preserve.us website, plantation wedding, mea culpa for plantation wedding, but finding so much more, including examples of Preserve's products, blogs, and top-tier marketing that helped launch it. A random side quest to explain the layered drama surrounding the premier of the Colleen Hoover adaptation of "It Ends With Us" that has people wondering why the cast seems so divided and why the Director/Lead, Justin Baldoni, and Producer/Lead, Blake Lively, have such differing views on what the movie is about and how it's being marketed to viewers.Wanna support the pod? A rundown of two RHOC episodes that focus on Katie's desire to expose what she believes is a lie from Heather about setting up paparazzi pictures, with a text from L.A.'s Pap Czar as proof. Gina stresses over Katie talking about Heather because nothing says true friendship like fear of repercussions. Tamra and Emily can't resist getting all up in the mess as Tamra also manages to maintain solid footing atop a very high horse about her ex-amiga Shannon, piling on Alexis' relentless pursuit of camera time, justice for her two-bit boyfriend, and the $75k he allegedly gave to Shannon during their relationship. Gina and Emily maintain their critiques of Jen living well despite financial ruin and the Dubrow's shameless name dropping continues to serve as a solid replacement for ipecac, handy in an emergency but unwelcome in daily life. (Ep 5 begins at the 25m25s mark)BONUS: Tailoring "A Little Bit Alexis" from Schitt's Creek for the exit song.Wanna support this independent pod? Dolores' dream of healing the great divides by facilitating an airing of the grievances goes sideways as insults fly and rivalries intensify. The last supper's official co-host, Jen Fessler, exits stage left at the first sign of discord and Dolores is left to handle the group on her own. As old vendettas are rekindled and a new shocking discovery is revealed, the group confirms the level of dysfunction and side plotting that has taken over the show. We witness a bittersweet, mostly bitter, potential end to what has been a pillar franchise of the RH world.Wanna support the pod? Promises of a healing retreat, rumors of a meeting to reveal treachery, and rival boyzz nights are the highlights of this episode. As Dolores continues her soon to be pointless search for a grand retreat, Joe Gorga and Luis have rival boyzz nights with very different agendas, but the main focus is a sit-down with Teresa's lawyer/friend who will share groundbreaking information about Marge's involvement with Luis' ongoing court case with his ex-fiancée.
