From the livestream on Tues July 2nd. Since it's been fairly well established that GRRM is, in part, using F&B to set the table for future ASOIAF events, and given that the Faceless Man and Iron Bank are mentioned quite a bit in the book... then we should pay attention!   For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

As it turns out Dany was the ultimate usurper of the throne as it was rightfully Jon's or debatably Gendry's right to sentence her to death for her crimes. I like the way the show ended for most part. If Jon was the rightful king he had the right to abdicate and allow the new king selection process. Hopefully GRRM will end the books that is more satisfying for those who did not like the ending.

Drogon knew Jon had the choice to kill Dany or join her and he deemed him worthy to make that decision because he was a just hero and/or the true king. He who passes the sentence must swing the sword (or thrust the dagger in this case). Jon was the rightful king and death was his sentence to hand down. Assuming the dragon's didn't know what is going on is selling them short, especially considering Tolkien's dragons who GRRM was clearly inspired by.

You heard it right here! Gendry will end up on the Throne. Think long and hard, I have, its solid.

Couldn't the memory of who pushed him out of the window be what Bran has lost and what he needs to recover? Because he has to save Jamie's life, so that Jamie can kill Cersi.

Jon saying farewell to Ghost is symbolic of him saying goodbye to his Stark side. problem is later his dragon died too ..

If anyone were to get Ghost it should be Tormund. He's Jon's best friend. Jon chained Tormund instead of having him killed. Then freed him. Tormund and Jon fought at the fall of Hardhome. Tormund came back and stormed Castle Black after he heard he was killed. Avenging him. They fought together in the Battle of the Bastards and The battle of Winterfell. He's his best friend. You give your dog, to your best friend. Not your cold staring sister

I hope the show is going where I think it's going. Euron and Cersei get killed next episode. Danny becomes mad after losing all her men. She takes he Unsullied and her dragon and holds up in Dragon Stone torching anyone who comes close until she can figure out what to do.

As you guys also discussed if a sufficiently sized meteor or comet struck the planet it could actually tilt the entire axis of the planet and dramatically alter the seasons temporarily or permanently. You could literally turn Summer im to Winter almost instantly with a large enough impact or seismic event.

Another possible theory on the Long Night: In the early seasons the intro sequence always made the world map look concave. It would be very cool if this were true and GoT takes place on a hollow Earth with the sun in the center. In this kind of hypothetical hollow Earth the seasons could be erratic or manipulated if someone or something was able to control or influence the rotation of the hollow sphere or the movement of the sun inside the sphere.

The Long Night can be explained by ordinary physics. A planet without a relatively large stable moon like ours would probably NOT have stable equal length seasons. In such a planetary system you could get seasons that vary in complex patterns or seem to be almost random depending on the gravitational dynamics of the solar system.

I love this podcast. Every episode is interesting. My only complaint is that it could have better audio quality.
