love this podcast but the guy speaks so quietly and the girl is much louder, so I either have to strain to hear him or blow my eardrums out

Great episode, but you glossed over Nick Adams. His career, life and mysterious death is worthy of its own program. Adams was romantically connected to Dean, Robert Conrad (whose career he jump started) and Elvis. He was hired by the studios to date female celebs, including Wood, but his double life was known to those in the industry. Indeed his agent, Heny Wilson, nurtured the careers of attractive young men in exchange for sexual favors. Dean, Adams, Rock Hudson, Troy Donahue, Tab Hunter, were but some of the bucks kept in Wilson's stable. Adams affinity for men was known to his wife, Carol Nugent, which is one of the reasons why the couple separated (although not divorced) prior to his death. Nick hired attorney Ervin Roeder to wrestle custody of his two children from Nugent at a considerable cost. Adding insult to injury is the belief Roeder was siphoning money from a depressed Adams whose career down-shifted from Hollywood movies to television to low budget films.
