From the minor league focus of From Complex to Queens, the historical UnforMETable, the all-women hosted A Pod of Their Own, and the ‘flagship’ show of Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World Series, our podcasts take you inside the Mets, their fanbase, and the stadium. Come join us, and Let’s Go Mets.

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  This week, we chat with friend of the pod Jen Ramos-Eisen about the fledgling Women’s Pro Baseball League ahead of next week’s draft. We discuss the choice of cities for the first four teams, the salaries, the logistics of the draft, what we think will determine the success of the league, and more. We then do a fun exercise where we propose potential team names for the New York WPBL team. Linda proposed the Meadowlarks (after Joan Payson’s preferred team name for what would eventually become the Mets), Maggie proposed the Queens (after New York’s best borough), and Allison proposed Excelsior (for New York’s motto). Check our socials to vote for your favorite! Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.  You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Home Run Applesauce podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show. It really helps! And you can find us on the Stitcher app, Spotify, or listen wherever you get podcasts. Grace is back and the Mets season is officially over. After a disappointing end that was both surprising and not, the Mets have a lot of questions to answer. What to do about the team, who will be a coach next year, and many more. But now the playoffs are in full swing, and there's been some good series, so breakout performers, and some wild finishes. Plus, Grace gives her dream World Series matchup (and it's probably not a common one). Finally, Grace's movie minute is the movie of the moment, and also Grace's favorite movie of the year so far (and maybe of the decade). The Mets did what the Mets have done four times in the past 30 years, which is lose their playoff spot in the last day of the season. And, for the last three times this happened, the Marlins were the team to do the deed. Le sigh. A Pod Of Their Own’s Allison McCague and Maggie Wiggin, Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World Series’s Chris McShane and Brian Salvatore, and From Complex to Queens’s Thomas Henderson all gathered on the first day of the long offseason to discuss what went wrong, who might be playing first and third for the Mets next season, and what the coaching staff may look like. Grace is back after yet another illness to talk about the increasingly shrinking window for the Mets to make the playoffs this year. They're fighting but they're stuck in the position of hoping for the other teams to keep losing because they keep losing. They have some bright spots and some real highs, but the lows are so low and so frequent. Next, Grace discusses the Jimmy Kimmel censorship. Like many other things in the past eight months, it's concerning and so abhorrent but overwhelming. Luckily Disney put Kimmel back on after a few days but it was a bunch of anger over nothing and is a warning shot for the Trump administration's increasing attempt to control the media. Finally, in honor of Robert Redford, Grace does a double movie minute, one she's already recommended but did it again in honor of one of her favorite (underrated) Redford performances. Then another that came at the very end of his career that proved that right up to the end he was a movie star through and through. Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  This week, the Mets are not in playoff position. They have the same record as the Cincinnati Reds with six games left to play. Can they still stumble into the playoffs? We talk about that and the challenge that David Stearns faces this offseason.  In our baseball segment, we discuss Defector’s reporting on the shady dealings of the Savannah Bananas’ charity arm.  Finally, we celebrate a successful Dollars for Dingers raffle event in our Walk-off Wins segment.  You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Home Run Applesauce podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show. Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  This week, we discuss the current state of the NL Wild Card race. The Mets endured an eight-game losing streak, but when we recorded this on Monday night, they were still in playoff position with their playoff odds having jumped from 70% to 80% just from Sunday’s walk-off win alone. We take a look at the remaining schedules of all the teams chasing them and try to remember that time and the odds are on our side. But the Mets still have to start playing better.  We wrap things up as we always do with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise. This week, we begin by wondering whether the Mets will even make the playoffs at this point. Because they sure aren’t playing like a playoff team right now, despite Brandon Sproat being the latest successful rookie pitching debut. We also cover the latest injury updates (Reed Garrett is back, but Tylor Megill sadly will not be), pay tribute to Davey Johnson, and discuss Jacob deGrom’s upcoming return to Citi Field.  Next, we talk about accusations of misconduct against women against at least eight men in the Tigers organization, as reported in The Athletic. The Tigers aren’t the only organization to disgrace themselves this week; the Angels did not cover themselves in glory either. We also briefly touch on the Native Nations baseball program and viral sensation “Phillies Karen.” Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise. It’s an extra special one this week! Welcome to From Complex to Queens, Home Run Applesauce’s podcast focusing on the Mets’ minor league system. We’ve had numerous scheduling snafus for the last month or so, but Thomas and Lukas finally got things lined up just in time to talk promotions. After briefly debating which pitcher debut of the last 15 years was most electric (don’t sleep on Steven Matz), it’s time to talk about what’s actually going on in the season. We have a number of new hitters in Double-A and in Triple-A. We also take the time to discuss the post-draft debuts; spoiler alert, there isn’t much to talk about there aside from some hand-wringing over Mitch Voit’s zone-contact rate. Oh right, we also had the major league debuts to discuss. Sproat, Tong, and McLean have all shown various levels of exciting stuff. If this season really is remembered as a disappointment for the major league results, we should still all be able to look back on the development gains made by these arms and consider that a big win for 2025. pretty enjoyable, but the change in volume depending on who is speaking makes it almost unlistenable.
