This holiday episode was recorded in 2022 for the original version of Homework: The Podcast, and it was also our first Christmas special! Here, Jose introduced John to the 1938 film adaptation of A Christmas Carol starring Reginald Owen. This episode is the Director's Cut because we've edited out the Umms, coughs, and John's squeaky chair. We also added a couple of extra clips and took a few bits out, so everything makes sense. Anyways, we hope that you enjoy this blast from the past!
For our third "crossover" episode we're joined by the co-host of the Dan and Ian Have Questions podcast, Dan Jacobvitz . Luckily, Dan chose the 1990 one-shot Wolverine: Bloodlust by Alan Davis and Paul Neary for his comic book pick.

This week, we wrap up our "Alternate Futures" lessons with a look at 1991's Batman Annual #15. It's a whacky story set in 2001 that features a sane Joker and Batman on death row. Yes, it's as crazy as it sounds, but it's also a lot of fun. And make sure to stay until the end of the episode where we make a couple of announcements.
Jose and John welcome Dan Jacobvitz and Ian Savage of Dan and Ian Have Questions to the Open Can family.
Everyone knows about the Apollo 11 moon landing and the one giant leap. But, what if the Soviet Union got there first? That's the premise of the Apple TV series For All Mankind, and this week John and Jose discuss the show's first episode "Red Moon."
Hosts John and Josecontinue their "Alternate Futures" series with the 1983 Styx album "Killroy was Here."The concept album (sort of) tells the story of a rebel fan who motivates a jailed rock star framed for murder to rebel against the rulers of a nation where all rock music is banned. Kilroy is also the album that helped tear Styx apart.
This week, hosts John and Jose take a look at the 2020 animated film Superman: Red Son.
It's a special edition of Night School as hosts John and Jose are joined by Nick Jones (1610 Incursion Podcast & The Flying Dead Podcat) to talk about the best movies they saw in 2023.To be clear: These are our favorite movies we saw last year. But not all of them were released in 2023.

Our Christmas-themed episodes continue this week with the Community episode "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas."Join hosts John and Jose as they dissect the episode and reminisce about other holiday favorites. But how the Fast & the Furious managed to sneak into the conversation, is anyone's guess.
