The song written and performed by Oklahoma singer/songwriter Tennessee Jet (aka T.J. McFarland), was penned shortly after Kirk was shot while debating students on a Utah college campus. The impact of the Kirk slaying sent shockwaves across the nation and impacted our host and his guests, Nubbin Moore and Randy Fielder as well as millions across the Nation. After the tribute, the episode moves on to the podcast’s benchmark “Dog talk at its finest” as the boys discuss favorite hounds of the past, Nubbin’s recent family fishing and hunting trip to south Alabama and a look-back at the recent Autumn Oaks event in Indiana. In this episode we talk to fellow podcaster, master dog trainer Heath Hyatt. Heath wears many hats in the dog world and was one of the featured judges in one of many coonhound shows that are an important part of the Autumn Oaks calendar of events. Autumn Oaks, founded in 1960 is billed as The Event Where History is made do to its role as the major United Kennel Club-sponsored coonhound event of the year. Also joining Steve in this episode are three members of the Muncy family known for the YouTube videos they have produced in recent years, first as Muncy Outdoors and more recently, Boneyard Outdoors, named for the area in West Virginia from which the family trio originates.
