Dr. Kate Moore grew up in Michigan but happily relocated to Southern California after gaining acceptance to Western University of Health Sciences. A Sacramento native, Dr. Maryal Concepcion (she/her) MD FAAFP is a Filipinx creator and connector. She is a mom to two young boys and married to a fellow rural family physician. She is the founder and host of the podcast, My DPC Story, and features direct care physicians. In September of 2021, she opened Big Trees, MD, the first Direct Primary Care in Arnold, a rural town of 4,000 in the Stanislaus National Forest, located in Northern California. Her clinic was created as a micro practice telemedicine and home visit model and, after overhead was met, she branched out into renting a brick-and-mortar space for her DPC. Dr. Arielle Walton, a Nashville-based veterinarian originally from Atlanta, GA, is a 2012 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. During her studies, she developed a passion for traditional Chinese veterinary medicine (TCVM), particularly acupuncture, and became a certified veterinary acupuncturist under the guidance of Dr. Xie from the Chi Institute. In 2019, she opened House Paws Acupuncture, a mobile veterinary practice in Nashville. Dr. Lauren Forsythe is an Assistant Professor at the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy. She is also a diplomat of the International College of Veterinary Pharmacists. Dr. Forsythe graduated from the University of Findlay, College of Pharmacy in 2015 and completed her veterinary pharmacy residency at Purdue's Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She earned her MBA in 2024 from the University of Illinois. Following completion of her residency, Dr. Forsythe spent three years at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital as a Clinical Pharmacist followed by four years at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Service Head. In addition to her teaching position, Dr. Forsythe is a co-author of the book Drug Compounding for Veterinary Professionals and provides consulting services to veterinary practices through her company Foresight Pharma Solutions. Her services are based on pharmacy-related needs such as controlled substance regulatory compliance, compounding, hazardous drug handling, and medication error prevention. Dr. Caroline Murray, aka, The Wilderness Vet, was born in Australia, brought up in England, and has lived in New Zealand for nearly 20 years, so she is a professional wanderer and explorer. She feels happiest on top of a horse and/or on a mountain in the remote wilderness somewhere hot and has worked, traveled, and volunteered extensively in the UK, Africa, Asia, Australasia, and South America. Antarctica is on her long bucket list. She is also a human first responder, search and rescue, and civil defense volunteer in NZ, has trained in NLP (neurolinguistic programming), and loves helping animals as well as coaching other people to help themselves. Currently, she is doing a mixture of locum and mobile work in NZ, whilst participating in disaster rescue training and has a dream of establishing a drone network to deliver emergency aid during natural disasters such as bushfires and floods.
