House is on methadone and it seems... fine? Or is it the worst thing ever because he is too nice to an intersex patient's parents?Listen now and find out. There's only one slur... in the episode of House, we don't say any slurs on the podcast. But we do mention a gross ad I saw while watching the episode.
Comedian Angela Sawyer joins us for the tale of a priest who has lost his faith forever... or has he?!There's a lot to dig into here and we even have time for all manner of philosophical questions concerning disgraced football coaches and people sharing their violent fantasies online. Also you'll learn who made the most money off the lesbian gold rush. What's that? Listen and find out!
What's more important, taking cooking classes or curing cancer? That's what this episode asks, sort of. We also get prankster Cuddy and a conclusion to one of the worst House plot lines we've had so far.Which one is it? I guess you'll have to listen to find out!
Do you want a coherent House episode? Well then this might not be the episode for you.But do you want a heartwarming story about a mother learning to connect with her baby? Well, then this probably isn't the one for you either. But if you wanted to see a woman with her brain popping out of the top of her head like a Halloween decoration getting annoyed at a baby on speakerphone, well then good news!Regardless of what you want, you'll want to listen to this episode cause we'll break it all down for you!
So this episode is about a kid who is bad at hockey and his dad who tries to... do I have to say unalive himself if I don't want to be punished by the algorithm?Anyway the patient and his family are sympathetic but between Kutner and Taub having the most half-hearted debate of all time, Thirteen and Foreman starting a relationship with surprisingly little chemistry given how hot they each are, and House dealing with some unrelated leaky pipes this isn't an all-star House but as always the House of House episode about the episode is worth listening to!Oh, also Cuddy needs to get her house ready before the adoption inspector comes over! We're in sitcom land folks, so buckle up and enjoy.
This is a big eventful episode with abandoned babies, manipulative romances, virgin birth hoaxes, and high school drama. Who better to help us tackle it than retuning favorite Katie Wright?!Listen now to hear our takes on relationships, sex ed, and what it would be like to give birth to either the son of God or a tiny Ben Affleck.
Power couple Dan McCoy (The Flophouse Podcast) and Audrey Lazaro (House and Holmes expert) join us as House dives into 2000s dieting and exercised discourse with... mixed results. There's also a B plot with House and Cuddy rom-com antics, a C plot with buddy comedy antics, and a D plot we forgot about.Plus British detective show talk, behind the scenes peeks from the Daily Show intern days circa 2013, and a whole lot more!
There are guest stars aplenty for this episode where a guy takes House hostage in order to force him to make a diagnosis, yet doesn't doesn't sing any Papa Roach at all despite the episode title.House seems weirdly chill and Thirteen learns she doesn't want to die but in the meantime everyone gets injected with stuff.Avon Barksdale from The Wire shows up to tease Cuddy about her relationship in between hostage negotiating and we have a new edition of Law and Order SVU: Before they Were Woke pus an apology to Rob Delaney.Enjoy!
There are a couple sound issues on this one, but we just did that to try to match the quality of this House episode which is... not great. Our guest, comedian and writer Alex Kennedy is great though! So listen for our thoughts on a weird episode with some really weird takes on abuse but don't worry the abuse is fake anyway! We've also got Mountainhead corner and a whole lot of talk about social media slop. It's a fun pod so listen now!
Lenny returns to discuss the fallout of the House/Cuddy kiss and also a House episode with one of the worst takes on mental illness which is really saying something. The patient is agoraphobic but (spoiler alert) they learn to get over it though the magic of deliberate physical and psychological torture. We also discuss the ethics of doing a bit using the RFK Jr voice. Or I guess I do that and Lenny tolerated it.Anyway, enjoy this great House of House episode about a sub par House MD episode.
Lenny is out this week, so writer, longtime associate, and fellow loud Jew Mike Blejer joins me to dig into a major episode with wild consequences for the show's characters. Also it's the first House episode Mike has ever seen. Does that matter? He gets the gist, and sometimes only through the eyes of a babe can we truly understand House. We dig into fascinating topics, like what would happen if you did cocaine in your sleep and who would win in a Battle of Wits: Baby or Dog?Lenny will be back to discuss the House/Cuddy kiss in the next episode but for now there's lots of super fun audio of acceptable sound quality to fill your ears with!
Can you even imagine how excited the Fox marketing department was when they found out this one had lesbian make out scenes? This episode of House is much like the audio of this podcast: uneven. There's some good stuff, especially with the return of the House and Wilson goof around games.Your mileage may vary but you'll definitely want to hear House say some of the least informed stuff about lesbians and psychology ever. Also sorry for the chainsaw sounds. Pretend that Denji was fighting outside Lenny's place.
Sara Ghaleb joins us once again to herald the retun of Wilson! Him and House go on a fun road trip and there's threats of piss and shenanigans abound. Will House reconcile with the idea of his abusive father now that he has passed? Does Wilson want House on a short leash? What would have happened if they hooked up when they first met? Also some lady has pins in her brain, don't worry about that.
Comedian and friend of the cast Dan Wilbur returns to discuss an episode where Breckin Meyer plays a painter with messed up visions and also creepy stuff happens with that PI guy. Plus we discuss XXX parody ideas for the Twilight Zone, Drug names, and the world's worst game show. This is a fun episode with some all-time riffs so listen right now!
Can you replace your best friend with an annoying Private Detective? That is just one question we look to answer with our guest, comedian Rebecca Kaplan, cohost of the Bad Fan Fiction Podcast. We also rediscover noir stories from first principles, try to figure out if a math professor is a major downgrade from an architect, read some fan fiction, and more! Why did all of the patients who received the organs from one donor get sick? Listen and learn!
Friend of the show Kacie Tergesen ("Girl in Trouble Stories" and "Sound Snackz") joins us again to deal with the fallout of Amber's death. Wilson wants to leave and Thirteen seems confused. She maybe wants a better job... or more responsibility... or a kid. It feels like the kind of story that would be written by a man about a woman who found out she was going to die in a decade which, to be fair, it is.We've also got lots of fun stuff exploring the contradictions of the vaguely high powered feminist lawyer (?) who helps men around the world get out of harassment, why The Pitt is good, and so much more!
Sara Ghaleb returns for the big season 4 finale!! Who would win, a woman without kidneys or the flu pills that kill you if you don't have kidneys? The answer will not surprise you. It's an emotionally powerful episode with great performances but don't worry! You'll also get our takes on the big Anora vs A Real Pain screenplay page debate and whether we think it would be comfortable to use a blow up doll. The answer will not surprise you!
This is a big, big episode and we're glad you're here with us for it!House is playing the role of concussion detective as he tries to figure out what life threatening symptom he noticed right before taking part in a frankly wild bus crash.Along the way we get a lot of well-realized mind palace detective adventures, the wackiest stripper you've ever seen, and a strip dance from Lisa Edelstein. What is the mystery House is trying to remember? Honestly if you don't know you should watch the episode before listening to this one, because we spoil it!
Sara Ghaleb returns for a beautifully unhinged episode of House that starts with House kidnapping a soap opera star and only gets wilder from there.Did you know the hospital inspector is here for a surprise inspection? And Wilson and Amber are buying a mattress?! AND CAMERON HAS TO DO PAPER WORK?Trust me, it's great. We've also got some Emmy hot takes and some advice for how certain Supreme Court Justices could be much cooler.
Can someone be... too nice?!
Well we aren't... to this episode! Yes, there's a great B plot with Amber and House fighting over Wilson, but as Lenny says the main plot feels like a parody of a House episode and then you've got two competing C plots.
But hey, you get to hear Wilson talk about using lube, so it's not all bad!

I really love your guys pod so farr! I love listening to these episodes after I finish the actual house episode myself in my first official rewatch. So exited to listen to more of your insights :)
