Description

There's good news for anyone that is confused by men, which is basically everyone ---- the 'How Men Think' podcast has returned!
'How Men Think' was always about helping women understand the things that men do and say, that just don't make sense to us. Since the beginning, the mission has been the same...a constant search for answers to your questions about relationships, dating, marriage, divorce, breakups, hookups, love, sex, family, fatherhood, and why men do -- the things men do!
Now, with the addition of Executive Producer Paris Hilton at the helm...there won't be any sugar-coating, no beating around the bush...and best of all, absolutely NO mansplaining! The new and improved HMT podcast will deliver the cold, hard, ugly truth to women -- because like it or not...we need to hear it.
But as much as we like to think all men are the same, they're actually very different -- (Frustrating isn't it?!) That's why, each week a celebrity guest-host will take over the show and give honest advice in his area of expertise. And best of all, we're cutting out the middleman and opening up the phone lines -- directly to you!
Ladies, this podcast has everything you need to better understand men....because let's face it, they're too confusing to figure out on our own.

A new study shows a clear association between how young a child gets their first smartphone, and depression, anxiety and obesity.  A second study this week revealed that when young adults reduce their social media time, within just one week, there were significant reductions in depression and anxiety.  Amy and T.J. check their phones for time spent on social media, and then compared it with T.J.’s 12 year old and it was fairly shocking.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
One of, if not THE largest jury award for a wrongful condition was given to a man who spent 4 decades working to exonerate himself. Earlier this year Darryl Boyd died from pancreatic cancer just months before he was finally set to go to trial, suing the city of Buffalo after spending decades behind bars for a murder he did not commit. Boyd was one of the so called “Buffalo 5”, teenaged black man all wrongfully accused in the robbery and murder of a white man. Boyd’s son and mother came to court every single day, in his honor.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It made big headlines this week after Travis Kelce pressed George Clooney on his claim that he and Amal haven’t fought in more than 10 years. Kelce went on to say that he and Taylor were in the same boat as George and Amal, claiming they haven’t fought in 2 1/2 years.  Amy and T.J. researched what relationship experts and therapist have to say about this notion of never fighting, and turns out they all agree, one even saying it’s the worst thing an engaged couple can come to her saying before marriage.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We recorded this episode at close to midnight in LA.  It was supposed to be fun episode about our annual trek to California for the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball.  It unexpectedly turned poignant when we realized that TODAY was our 2-year anniversary.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It’s that time of year where we’re all looking for gifts for our loved ones! 21-year-old Millie Bobby Brown announced this week that she has officially changed her name after marrying Jake Bongiovi. We learned her middle name is actually Bonnie, not Bobby, so from now on, she’s Millie Bonnie Bongiovi, or as she joked, Millie Bon Bon. It got us curious just how many women in this country change their last names once they’re married, and the numbers surprised us, with 8 out of 10 women choosing to take their husband’s name. It’s even more interesting when you look at which women are more likely to keep their given surnames and how the United States compares to other countries around the world. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It was an eventful day 4 of the Brian Walshe trial today, with the man who was having an affair with Ana taking the stand. William Fastow testified that neither he nor Ana ever believed that Brian was aware of their relationship. That is significant because the prosecution is trying to prove that Ana's affair with Fastow was the motive behind her murder.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It’s that time of year where we all get to see what our favorite music and artists are and what that says about our listening habits and even our personalities! While some of us may end up a little embarrassed by the results, from our favorite song to our supposed “listening age,"  Amy and T.J. waited until recording this episode to discover what their Spotify Wrapped revealed, and the results are hilarious.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
After going through hotel security footage, Rosemont Police say Tara Reid’s drink was NOT tampered with while she stepped away for a cigarette. Videos circulating online show the 50-year-old actress out of control and seemingly wasted, eventually taken from the hotel bar in a stretcher to a nearby hospital. Reid says she still believes she was drugged, claiming she only had one glass of white wine that evening. Police and Reid are awaiting any tests that might have been done on Reid while she was hospitalized, but it remains unclear if any results will be made public.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Prosecutors lined up the witnesses on day 3 of the Brian Walshe trial, establishing Ana Walshe’s final travel movements. They also produced photos and testimony surrounding the evidence police found in multiple trash bags from a dumpster near Brian’s mother’s home. It was eerie to see the hammer, wire snips, hatchet and hacksaw with red brown stains on it, all discovered along with some of Ana’s clothing and belongings. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

22-year-old Rebecca Park was 38 weeks pregnant when she went missing in early November. 3 weeks later her body was found by her father with her unborn child cut out of her womb. This week, police charged her biological mother and stepfather with murdering Park and her baby, but right now, investigators still haven’t found the baby’s remains. Further complicating this disturbing story, police have also arrested Park’s 21-year-old sister and her own fiancé and father of her child. Police aren’t saying if those charges are related in any way to the death of Rebecca and her baby, but they were both arrested within hours of finding her body.   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Day 2 of the Brian Walshe trial revealed more shocking and damning searches made from the devices in Walshe’s home in the hours and days after his wife’s disappearance. Investigators read aloud the searches that ranged from “cleaning up blood without leaving a trace” to “can you be charged with murder without a body?” Walshe’s attorneys did their best to explain his specific, macabre searches, but for now, Walshe’s defense appears to be an uphill battle. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The trial of Brian Walshe is underway in Boston right now and it is riveting. The 50-year-old husband and father of three stands accused of murdering his still missing wife Ana on New Year’s Day two years ago. While Walshe has admitted to dismembering and disposing of his wife’s body - which has never been found - he denies murdering her. Joining us is renowned criminal defense attorney Alison Triessl who walks us through the defense strategy so far, with damning evidence mounting against their client. From the police audio tapes of Walshe lying and misleading investigators shortly after his wife’s disappearance, to the incriminating and jaw dropping google searches police found on devices linked to his iCloud account, there is already so much testimony to unpack and it’s only day 2 of the trial.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

why go to Idaho where it's isolating and leave LA where there's people everywhere? during a pandemic? when we're supposed to be staying away from people? seems like the only logic option if you have the option..

Really loved this podcast, it was one of my faves. Was really disappointed about the fat bashing in this episode though. :/

Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings

Not half bad, but I have mixed feelings about this podcast. It does have some entertainment value, but it also embodies a multitude of negative stereotypes about men. Laughing about laying around watching porn, their wives yelling at them because they don't even bother to wash their hair, one of the guys doesn't even use freaking deodorant, another his wife said he smelled bad, none of them seem to be particularly intelligent (guy didn't know what "epitome" meant...), and dropping pretty lame jokes. I hope women don't listen to this and believe this is really how men think. Also, seems like an odd choice for a podcast called "How Men Think" to have women account for half the hosts?

Overall great podcast! Interesting topics discussed with a good mix of personalities. I enjoyed the humor. A few easy things to improve: 1. Better sound quality- the very begining was particularly bad quality and the rest was tolerable but mediocre. 2. Too much small talk in the begining. It took 12 mintues to get to the beginning of the show. It was such boring meaningless introductory chatter that i almost stopped listening. Im glad I stuck through it. If you want to open with small talk, please consider minimizing it to 3-4 minutes, including introducing and advertising yourselfs. 3. This goes along with number two, but edit, edit, edit. There were some comments and jokes that were redundant or unnecessary. 4. I enjoyed the female input. I understand this is what men think, but i would enjoy more female voice to balance some of your thoughts.
